Back in Gray City, Felix was still a little overwhelmed. If it hadn't been for the flute that Billy gave him, he probably would've died in Seapoint that day.
However, had he not been sent there, the situation in Seapoint wouldn't have been solved. If it had been another agent who was sent there, they would've been changed and become a part of Seapoint, of they would've died.
Felix glanced out the window before deciding to take a shower. All of a sudden, his body trembled, and he quickly looked at the clock on the wall. It was only 4:30 pm.
He turned to look outside the window again, and it was pitch black. He thought carefully of when he sat in the living room. The sunlight had been penetrating into the house-so when did it become dark?
"Such a weak man. Are you even worthy of having the true Dragonspine?"
There was a sudden voice behind Felix, and all the lights in the house were unexpectedly turned on. Another man appeared on the couch where Felix had been sitting prior.
It was the cloaked man from before. The hood of the cloak had slightly fallen away from his face, exposing an angular and handsome face.
"Who are you?" Felix asked.
The cloaked man sat comfortably on the couch, as if he were at home. "It doesn't matter who I am. What matters is that you're going to die soon"
"Is that so?" Felix was just about to attack but realized he couldn't move.noveldrama
The cloaked man wagged his finger with disdain on his face. "You didn't even notice that I've placed a black veil around your villa, and you still want to fight me? You must be dreaming!" He stood up and looked at Felix. "Interesting. I didn't expect another person who could practice Dragons Destroyer to be a weak little man like you."
Dragons Destroyer?
Felix's expression shifted. Apart from Gerald and his fellow apprentices, this was the first outsider to mention that technique. Besides, the cloaked man also knew that Felix practiced it. "Who are you?"
The young man walked toward Felix with his hands widespread. "I told you it's not important. I just want the six Dragonspines in your body. It might be a little painful when I take them out, so please bear with me."
As soon as he finished his sentence, a melodious flute echoed in the villa. The cloaked man. frowned and quickly jumped out of the window before disappearing into the darkness outside.
At this point, Felix realized that he could move again. "Karina?"
How could he not be familiar with the sound of the flute? It had to be Karina, but why did Karina appear at such a critical moment?
When he turned his head to look, the darkness outside also disappeared. Sunlight poured into the house again, as if nothing had happened.
Felix stayed inside the villa, waiting. By 9:00 pm, his phone rang-an unfamiliar number.
"Karina?" he said as soon as he answered. His guess was right.
"It's me, Felix. Don't worry. That man is no longer a threat."
It was definitely Karina.
Felix smiled bitterly. "Did you kill him?"
"No, he isn't weak. He's quite strong and has many ancient items. I only managed to injure him badly. I chased him until I saw him return to their side." Their side?
Felix understood. It was no wonder he couldn't fight back. The cloaked man was too strong.
"Karina, how did you know I was in danger?"
Karina explained the truth, "I didn't. Mr. Hoffman asked me to wait for you at home. He said the Dragonspines in your body were vibrating, and someone could find you just based on the tremblings. "Of course, it was just a guess. I truly didn't expect someone to come."
It turned out Gerald had anticipated all this and prepared in advance.
"Thank you, Karina. Will he ever come back?"
"Don't worry. It isn't that easy to get to the big city from there. The price he paid isn't small. You don't have to worry about this for now. Go get some rest.
