No one could have expected that the highly anticipated medical showdown between Dragonia and Guneria would end so dramatically. After all, both sides had taken it so seriously. However, Guneria had conceded defeat willingly.
"The legend of Gerald Hoffman truly stands unchallenged. No one can defeat him now, and he'll still remain unrivaled," Zara murmured.
That prompted Felix to ask curiously, "What do you mean?"
"Back in the day, when Gerald practiced medicine to save lives, though he spent most of his time in Dragonia, he also traveled the world. It's said that many top figures across the world, from politics to business, were saved by Gerald. Just imagine his influence overseas. "Whatever was on that note, it must have been something dramatic enough to make Guneria's team give up without a fight," Zara explained.
Felix's eyes sparkled with newfound curiosity. He hadn't realized Gerald had ventured worldwide. He had always thought he had remained only in Dragonia.
"Are you heading back to Avesburgh now?" Zara asked as Felix rose to leave.
"Yes."
Zara hesitated for a moment before saying, "Even though I understand your frustration, some things are out of our control."
Felix just smiled, leaving without a word.
In a room at the Traditional Medicine Association headquarters, Timothy, William, and the young man claiming to be Gerald's disciple were gathered.
"Mr. Ziegler, do you see now? I told you this approach would work. No need for a Plan B. The effort, time, and cost we invested to find out who Gerald treated in Guneria turned out to be very useful."
The note contained information known only to Gerald, and since he wasn't one to boast, finding out through other means had proven incredibly difficult.
William smiled ruefully. "I understand, but as healers, shouldn't we let our skills speak for themselves? That would've been the best way to defeat them."
Timothy sipped his tea, a faint look of disdain crossing his face.
"They can treat early-stage cancer in ten minutes. Do you think Felix could've done the same? It's clear he couldn't. Otherwise, you wouldn't have put Plan B into action."noveldrama
At that moment, the door swung open, and Felix entered, ignoring the two guards who had. tried to stop him. William gestured for them to step back.
"Felix! I know you want an explanation, but there isn't one. Results are what matter most. Or do you think your skills surpass those of Gerald's disciple?" Timothy asked, his tone. sharp.
Felix replied firmly, "You have your principles, and as a practitioner of traditional medicine, I have my own values. While I can't condone your behavior, I'm in no position to say you're wrong." Turning to the young man, he asked, "Are you really Gerald's disciple?"
The young man opened his mouth, ready to confirm it, but something in Felix's gaze unnerved hint. It left him stammering and unsure of what to say.
"If he isn't, then are you Gerald's disciple?" Timothy asked pointedly.
Without another word, Felix left. He had come only to voice his opinion, hoping that in future situations, such deception would be avoided.
In the expansive parking lot at the Traditional Medicine Association headquarters, the Guneria delegation was busy loading their equipment onto a large truck. Elliott's expression was still filled with resentment. "What exactly did that note say? Are we really giving up on the pride and honor of our nation so easily?" he asked.
