"Refreshing!"
Inside a room, Hector and Felix had downed half a bottle of liquor in one go, and the smile on Hector's face grew even wider.
"It's always the best to drink with you, young man."
Felix hadn't expected that the Veilflower Gabriel found was meant for the one and only Warlord of the East. He knew him because of Gerald.
He'd met him more than once before. What left Felix speechless was how Gerald casually called him "Hector", as if his prestigious title meant nothing in Gerald's eyes.
However, Felix couldn't do the same. He had to show respect by calling him "Mr. Downy". After all, the man was a hero who protected the nation.
After hearing Felix's story, Hector furrowed his brows.
"Do you need the Veilflower, too? That's going to be tough."
The fact that even he found it difficult showed that the other person needing the Veilflower was equally important.
"Mr. Downy, about that old war hero you mentioned, did he fall ill?" Felix asked.
Hector shook his head.
"No, it's not him. He's close as a brother to Brandon Quinn, who is currently the third-ranked master healer in Dragonia. It's Brandon who needs the Veilflower, so I was helping him search for it. This flower is truly rare. Aside from Gabriel's discovery, there's no trace of it anywhere else."
Just as Felix was about to speak, Hector slapped his thigh. "I must be getting old! Felix, take the Veilflower with you. I'll explain the situation to Brandon myself. I don't believe he'd refuse to show respect to your mentor, the miracle doctor."
With that, Felix didn't hesitate to accept it. "Thank you, Mr. Downy. If you ever need anything, just give me a call."
"What are you talking about? When I was gravely injured and your mentor wasn't around, weren't you the one who saved me? I owe you my life."
After finishing a bottle of liquor, Hector, clearly busy with other matters, was about to leave when something crossed his mind.
"Oh, right. Since you'll be staying in Avesburgh for a while, let me give you a number. She's like a student of mine, and you might've heard of her. She's Xena Summers, the goddess of war. If you need anything while I'm traveling around, you can reach out to her." Chapter 232
Xena Summers.
Felix's expression turned odd. He hadn't expected that the person supporting Xena was none other than Hector himself. What a small world.
"It's fine, Mr. Downy. I can take care of myself"
He knew that if he accepted the contact, Hector would definitely inform Xena, and that wasn't what he wanted. He needed to wait until Curtis woke up.
"Fair enough, I'm just thinking too much. Given your skills, what trouble could you possibly have? I'm off, then."
The helicopter took off, and Gabriel left with them. Regardless, he had achieved great merit, and Felix had even told Hector to follow his instructions to find an arm and a leg When the time came, Felix would personally help Gabriel become whole again. Just as he was about to leave, Felix's phone rang.
It was Stinger calling.
"Stinger, what's up?"
But the voice on the other end wasn't Stinger's. It sounded anxious. "Mr. Zeller, I'm one of Stinger's men. He's been taken by Lord Jamison and is currently at Lord Kane's old estate. I didn't know who else to turn to, so I called you." Lord Jamison? Felix recalled the incident with Sasha and frowned.noveldrama
Under normal circumstances, he wouldn't intervene, as doing so would mean that Stinger couldn't handle things on his own. However, since he was the one who killed Hunter, he bore some responsibility in this matter. "I'm on my way."
