Billionaire With Husband 262

Two days flew by. A plane touched down in Yartford at 10:00 am. Not long after, Felix and Jack hugged at the exit.

Jack teased Felix the moment he landed, "Were you worried I've got something going on with Madeline? Coming all the way to Yartford to keep an eye on us, huh?" Felix playfully punched his arm. "Come on. Let's head to the restaurant. Madeline's already waiting for us."

The Golden Prime Auction was not until evening, so Felix had time to kill. Plus, he wanted to see how Madeline was adjusting to life in her new city.

"Life is interesting sometimes. Maddy's life in Avesburgh was hellish. But ever since she bumped into you, it totally changed for the better after she moved to Yartford."

Intrigued, Felix asked while they were in the car, "What do you mean? Are you talking about her career or love life?"

Jack flashed a double thumbs-up. "Both."

As Jack filled him in, Felix could not help but smile. With the few million dollars he had given her, Madeline had rented a place in Yartford, then leased a nice commercial space to open a pasta shop. Felix knew Madeline had a relative who had once run a killer pasta joint but had to shut down for some reason. It would not have been difficult for her to obtain their recipe.

"Don't underestimate this little pasta shop. From what I hear, the annual revenue of a tiny place like that on Yartford's busiest street could be even higher than some Avesburgh's companies." Felix nodded in agreement. Big cities meant tough competition and crowds, but also more opportunities.

"What about her love life?"

Jack's expression turned comical. "Now that's a wild story! This good-looking guy starts coming to Madeline's shop and has pasta a few times a day. It's totally love at first sight.

"He's officially pursuing her now, and Madeline seems pretty into it. I'd bet they'll be official within a month."

At the restaurant, the mood was upbeat all around, especially for Madeline. She was glowing, which was a complete transformation from before. As a former campus belle, it was no surprise she was turning heads again. "Felix, this toast's for you! Without your help, I'd still be living lifelessly in hell."

Madelin

joy was genuine. This man, whom she had once had feelings for, had truly

changed her life.

"Seeing you like this puts my mind at ease."

Sitting down, Madeline pulled out a contract from her bag. "The pasta has been a hit. I'm planning to expand the business in the future. Felix, there's a 40% stake in here for you. And I won't take no for an answer." Without hesitation, Felix signed. Refusing would have been disrespectful to Madeline.

Jack applauded, and Madeline's smile widened. She had been worried Felix might decline, which would leave her in an awkward spot.

"Let's drink till we drop! Felix, I know you've got plans tonight. But with your tolerance, that's no problem, right?" 1

Felix nodded. He was about to raise his glass when his phone rang. It was Harold. Knowing the kid was probably up to no good, Felix answered anyway.

"Hey, Felix, I've been bored out of my mind in Avesburgh lately, so I'm thinking of visiting Yartford for some fun. What do you think?"
