Billionaire With Husband 213

Jaxon frowned, wondering why the mysterious woman hadn't appeared there.

"Mr. Cunningham! Why does that matter? Let's just get Felix first!"

Upon hearing the deputy chief's suggestion, Jaxon nodded and uttered three words.

"Take him down!"

In the next instant, the deputy chief shot forward like an arrow. The stone slabs beneath him cracked with every step, revealing the immense power he possessed.

However, Felix stood there with his hands behind his back, seemingly uninterested in making a move.

"Hmph! And trash like you dares to attack the Dragon Lord?"

Vivian disappeared from where she stood, and a muffled bang followed. The deputy chief was sent flying back even faster than he had rushed forward. If not for Jaxon holding him, the deputy chief would have crashed headfirst into the wall. "There's not much time left. You'd better make good use of what remains of your five minutes," Vivian said coldly before returning to Felix's side.

The development of the situation left the Great Imperial Sect members stunned. No one had expected Felix to remain motionless while a single move from the woman beside him could send their deputy chief flying.

"There are laws in the country and rules in the martial world. All you've thought about is avenging your apprentice, but have you considered whether your actions are right or wrong?" Felix asked calmly, detailing his reasoning.

"Felix! You killed them, and now you talk to us about right and wrong?"

"Do you really think you can humiliate the Great Imperial Sect just because you have a strong fighter by your side? Ridiculous!"noveldrama

Seeing as Jaxon remained silent, Felix was disappointed.

"It seems that you, the chief of the Great Imperial Sect, aren't that great after all."

Taking a step forward, Felix's expression remained cold.

"You arrogant brat! I'll show you who I am!"

The number of supporting fighters or silly tricks was useless in duels between top martial artists. Only real strength mattered. That was why Jaxon hadn't summoned the rest of the sect members. If they couldn't take down Felix, sending more people would be futile. As the Great Imperial Sect's most formidable fighter, Jaxon wanted to take down Felix

himself. However, Felix remained standing with his hands behind his back, still unwilling to make a move. The elders and deputy chief grind their teeth in frustration. His arrogance was simply intolerable.

Once again, Vivian moved, meeting Jaxon in the center of the martial arena. The sounds of explosive collisions and air being torn apart echoed continuously as the two clashed. The fight was intense, with no clear winner in sight,

Felix silently marveled at the capabilities of Dragon Alliance. Vivian was merely a deputy chief, yet her strength was comparable to that of the chief of the Great Imperial Sect. If the chief of Earthen Hall himself had come, how much more terrifying would it have been? However, Felix reckoned that Vivian might be an exception. From what he could see, Jaxon's strength was on par with Xena. If every deputy chief of Dragon Alliance were this powerful, it would be impossible to imagine the strength of those ranked even higher. As time passed, the elders and the deputy chief exchanged uncertain glances. The fact that their chief was locked in an even fight with a woman accompanying Felix shook them.

"Time's up." Felix's voice rang out.

Their attention had been focused on the battle, but Felix had been looking at the hourglass. At the exact moment the last grain of sand fell, he asked for the battle to stop.

Vivian did one final strike before withdrawing to Felix's side.

"The five minutes I gave you are over. Your choices are now yours to make. Those five minutes were given out of consideration for the way you treated my buddy, Jack. But clearly, you don't know how to cherish it."

Felix's top priority in coming to the Great Imperial Sect was to rescue his buddy. The members of Earthen Hall, skilled in assassination, had already infiltrated the sect and found Jack. He hadn't been harmed at all. Instead, he had been treated well. That was the only reason Felix had allowed five minutes for them to make their decision.
