Felix and George settled into the fourth row, gesturing to the staff to push their single-seater chairs together. Considering the high-profile attendees present, Felix could not help but feel curious about George's bold move. It was a clear statement to others about their close relationship..
"Showing
ving me this much love? What if my ties with Moonshadow Alliance aren't as close as you think?" Felix teased.
George shrugged casually and said, "Come on. A friend is a friend, and having more friends means more opportunities. I'll prove myself through actions. If I ever need your help and you're able and willing, I won't hesitate to ask. If you can't, no hard feelings. Life's unpredictable, you know?"
Felix nodded in agreement, a smile playing on his lips. Then, George continued, "The first
W rows are off-limits to the younger crowd.
George's explanation hinted at his own elevated position. In other words, the fourth row onward was where the younger generation could sit, proving George's position.
He went on, "But the real VIPS? They're up in those private boxes above us, with one-way glass. We can't see them, but they see everything. Do you remember the Lady Nala I mentioned earlier? She's in one of those. Among our generation, she's one of the only three allowed inside."
Felix's interest was piqued as it implied two other youngsters were on her level. Nonetheless, he did not bother asking for details and just waited for the auction to begin,
Meanwhile, in one of the private boxes, Yvonne stood attentively beside the woman she was bound to serve for life. Nala Hughman wore a purple veil, revealing only her eyes. Yet, those eyes alone were captivating enough to mesmerize any man who dared to look. "Miss, that's Felix Zeller," Yvonne said.
Nala glanced in the direction Yvonne pointed and commented, "That's interesting. Sitting with George, no less? No wonder he got in."
Even though Yvonne was anxious, she tried to maintain her composure and replied, "I haven't found out what their connection is yet. As far as I know, their only interaction was at the Avesburgh auction for the Miracle Card."
After a moment of contemplation, Nala spoke again. "George may act like a spoiled rich kid, but he's actually pretty sharp. If he's treating Felix like that, there might be more to him than we've discovered."
She paused, then added with a hint of mischief "It's amusing that the person in the next box doesn't even realize his own brother is down there."

Yvonne gasped. "Miss, h-he's here too? I thought he never showed interest in these events.
"Let's leave that as a mystery for now. George's behavior has piqued my curiosity about Felix. Let's keep watching."
Nala raised her right hand, and Yvonne immediately knew what she wanted. Then, Yvonne approached the microphone and announced, "Nine and 18."
Everyone in the hall heard her, and George even pulled out his phone to check the auction list. He said, "That's Lady Nala calling her interests on items nine and eighteen. Why don't you check if they clash with what you're after?" Felix's expression fell as he glanced at the list. Item 18 was Moon's Tear-the very thing he had come for. It seemed he would be competing against Nala after all.
