Billionaire With Husband 251

After Felix arrived at Tabiner Bay, he pulled into the parking lot and handed his keys to the security guard. He then told Dora to send someone over for the car. As he walked past Yvonne's villa, he noticed her sitting in her yard, even though it was already late. "Want to come in for a bit?" she offered after they locked eyes.

"It's alright. I'm kind of tired."

Curiosity flickered in Yvonne's eyes. Felix actually managed to get back from the Phoenix. Legion unscathed. It seemed unlikely that they would arrest someone by mistake.

It would be ridiculous if the Phoenix Legion had mobilized their teams without solid evidence, wouldn't it?

"What other secrets are you hiding, Felix?" As Yvonne muttered to herself, she steelednoveldrama

herself.

This was precisely why she was sent here. But part of her hoped she would not uncover anything. If she did, the chances of him being together with her boss might just become higher.

Felix had barely stepped into his yard when Sherlyn dashed over. "Look who finally decided to show up! You've been released for a while, and you're only coming home now!"

Helpless, Felix turned around. "I had some business to take care of."

Sherlyn walked in while carrying two bottles of liquor and some snacks. "I don't care. I'm leaving tomorrow, so you have to have a drink with me tonight."

She was truly living up to her reputation as Ernest's granddaughter.

"Turns out, Belle had a lot of issues. The Warlord of the East had to send people to haul her

OFF That's why you were released," Sherlyn explained after they sat down at the table. She

looked at Felix expectantly, but he only nodded.

"Oh, I see."

Sherlyn was taken aback. Instantly, she felt somewhat hurt. "I guess I shouldn't be surprised. With your skills, I wouldn't bat an eye if you said you knew the Warlord of the East personally." Only then did it dawn on her that Felix might have orchestrated the whole thing himself since he was such a great master healer.

"No. I should thank you for helping me out today. Thanks for your concem, too."

Sherlyn finally cracked a smile after hearing this. "Humph! That's more like it. I've always been straightforward, and I've already set my sights on you.

"Once I've sorted out things at the company, I'll move to Avesburgh to live at Grandpa's place. That's when I'll officially start pursuing you."

Felix sighed. "We've only met each other a few times. What you're feeling toward me ist admiration and not love."

Pursing her lips, Sherlyn was unbothered. "You're the only one whom I'd rather marry first and fall in love with later. I know I'll end up loving you anyway.

"You're exceptional and have a great personality. Even my grandpa respects you. I can't just let you slip away, so don't try to talk me out of it! I have the right to pursue you, and you're free to accept or reject me, too."

If that was the case, there was no point arguing further. So, they started drinking.

Half an hour later, Jairo appeared in the yard of Ernest's villa. He stood by the fence as he stared in a particular direction.

The air was thick with murderous intent. Whoever was approaching was no amateur, but who were they after?

His job was simple: protect Ernest at all costs. He could not leave his post without direct orders from Ernest, even if his neighbors were in danger.

He had heard about someone lower-ranking than Ernest being lured away once. Jairo was not about to make the same mistake, especially with Ernest fast asleep now.

Jairo's instincts were spot on. Someone was indeed coming, and they were radiating intense hostility. Felix must have picked up on it, too, if Jairo could sense it.

But Felix was having dinner with Sherlyn, who was now a bit tipsy and chattier than usual. This was not the best time to head outside, so he decided to see how things would unfold on their own. Today's Bonus Offer
