After pondering it for a while more, Felix still could not put a face on that name. Not wanting to waste more time, he grabbed a machete from one of the thugs and threw it with deadly precision. Hunter was about to retort Stinger, but he was silenced immediately.
The blade sank deep into Hunter's chest. He stared in disbelief at his chest, mumbling, "Y- You killed-"
Yet, before he could finish his sentence, blood gushed out from his mouth, and he collapsed to the ground.
Meanwhile, Sasha and Ruth screamed in terror, having never witnessed such a brutal act of violence before. The sight and smell of blood filled the air, intensifying their fear.
Felix approached Sasha, who broke down in tears. She pleaded desperately, "Felix! Please don't kill me! I'm sorry! I truly am! I promise I'll never bother you again!"
Ruth was equally terrified and instantly fell to her knees, trembling and sobbing. "It was all Sasha's idea! I had nothing to do with it! Felix, please let me go. I don't want to die!" Felix simply waved his hand.
Stinger understood his signal and had his men drag Ruth away.
"Sell her overseas," he commanded coldly.
"Yes, sir!"
As Ruth was taken away unconscious, Sasha realized the horrific fate that awaited her friend. She knew what would happen to a woman sold abroad.
She shook uncontrollably as she wrapped her arms around Felix's leg. She was well aware that he was not bluffing. After all, he had just killed someone right in front of her, and now Ruth was gone-there was no telling what he would do next. "Please, spare me one last time for my father's sake! I've learned my lesson!"
Felix crouched down, his face devoid of emotion. "I gave you too many chances. You chose this path yourself," he said flatly. "And don't bring up your father. He's not you."
With a swift, powerful strike to Sasha's shoulder, Felix left her writhing in pain. After a few moments, she realized she could not feel her legs anymore and began to panic. "My legs! Why can't I feel my legs? Why?"
Felix stood up and dusted off his hands. "You'll spend the rest of your life in a wheelchair, pondering why you ended up in this state. Feel free to go to the police or tell your father the
truth, but I can easily find a scapegoat. As for you, things will only get worse-believe me."
As Sasha looked into Felix's eyes, she saw a frightening, hellish gleam that would haunt her for the rest of her life.noveldrama
Felix then left, knowing Stinger would clean up the mess.
As he stepped out of the building, a thought suddenly struck him. "Wait a minute... Harold Jamison? Isn't that the name of my aunt's son? No wonder it sounded familiar."
However, he quickly dismissed the idea, knowing it was impossible for his cousin to be involved in Avesburgh's underworld power struggle.
