Chapter 448

The corner of Matthew's lips twitched in response. That was quite a stretch.

He didn't believe that these ten or so people could handle more than 100 guys. In the end, he decided not to hold any hope for them. It was still best to look out for himself.

He cleared his throat and asked, "Then, what will you do for now?"

Dominic smiled as he answered, "We have a professional schedule to follow, so that's a secret. Please don't try to get any information out of us.

"You don't have to worry, especially about your safety. Just do whatever you want and live as you normally do."

Then, Matthew smacked his lips and waved after his last question before he went to find Felix.

Pointing to the pile of medical literature, Matthew said, "I'll be taking this medical literature away today."

The wound on Felix's face seemed to have gotten worse. His nose was bruised, and his cheek was swollen, but he still appeared very lively.

"Sure! I'll use my motorized tricycle to send it over. There are too many books, so let's put them on the motorized tricycle. We're too slow!"

As Felix spoke, he pointed to Dominic and his group of men and signaled for Matthew to call them over to help.

Matthew looked at the pile of medical literature. It would indeed take a very long time if there were only two of them helping out, so he walked up to Dominic and said, "Dominic, come and help us put the old books onto the motorized tricycle." Dominic swept a glance over the pile of books that resembled nothing more than rubbish. He soon noticed that there was a ton of dust on the books.

Some of the books had no cover pages, and they were stained with cobwebs and rat feces while other books were stained with oily substances.

It made Dominic frown, and he said, "Mr. Grant, these are all rubbish, so you should find a cleaner to help you.

"I'm a Major, and even the lowest of the ranks within my group are Captains. There's no way we would do this. Our mission is to protect you, not to help you sort out garbage or clean them up!"noveldrama

Matthew sighed at his response. Of course. How could these wealthy second generations do manual labor?

Would they really be able to charge upfront in times of battle when they wouldn't even lift a finger to do these little chores? Matthew was just thinking of calling Brad to question him when Trevor appeared all of a sudden with a group of men.

Upon meeting Dominic and his men, Trevor's eyes widened in surprise Very quickly, his shocked expression morphed into a scowl, but he still walked over and saluted Dominic.

en

"Salute!"

Dominic returned the salutation. "We'll be protecting Mr. Grant from now on, so you don't have to bother with it! We'll take over everything!"

Trevor frowned, but he only

hummed and walked up to Matthew.

"I've already settled everything at the publisher. The police took the

corpse away for further

investigation."

Matthew hummed in reply, and since he couldn't find anyone else to help him with the chore of filling the motorized tricycle, he pointed at the worn-out books on the floor and said, "Come and help us fill the motorized tricycle."

"Alright!" Trevor agreed and ordered his men to pitch in as well.

By the side, Dominic watched as Trevor carried a stack of worn-out books and placed them onto the motorized tricycle.

He then shook his head slightly and said, "Soldiers are the warriors who defend their country. How can they be cleaning out the garbage? It's an insult to our uniforms!" Having heard Dominic's words, Trevor froze for a moment, but he quickly resumed to help out. Matthew then frowned and glanced at Dominic before he went back to work. Once Renae learned of the situation, she went over to help them out. Around 20 minutes later, all of the medical literature was placed onto the motorized tricycle. Felix prepared to start the engine when Matthew raised his hands and stopped him.

"You're still injured, so stay here and rest after you've applied some medicine. I'll drive there myself and return the motorized tricycle to you afterward."

Then, Felix handed the keys to Matthew and said, "Drive slowly. This is an old motorized tricycle, so the brakes aren't as effective."

Matthew held onto the key and hopped onto the motorized tricycle before he started the engine. Soon, the sound of the engine began to sound out deafeningly harsh.

When Renae noticed that Matthew was leaving her behind, she felt a little anxious and said, "What about me? My mom doesn't want me anymore, but do you not want me either?"
