Chapter 422

With a darkened expression, Matthew got out of the car and looked around.

The villa was brand new. The yard had all kinds of exotic flowers and a rock garden with a fountain. In the garden that led to the villa, there was a small bridge with a peaceful stream running beneath it. Matthew turned to Everett. "Who's your boss?"

Everett shoved Matthew. "You'll find out when you see him. Your fate is up to him now."

Matthew asked, "Aren't we talking about the money I owe? I'll just pay it back. There's no reason to kill me for it."

Everett shook his head. "You actually took my word about owing money?"

As the conversation ensued, Matthew was brought inside the villa. The interior was elegantly decorated with antique pieces that really elevated the place.

In the living room, a man in his 50s was puffing on a cigar. A saber rested on the coffee table in front of him. The blade was honed and reflected a white glow under the lamp.

When the man saw Matthew being brought over, he scrutinized Matthew with a narrowed gaze.

Everett pushed Matthew right up to the man. "We've got him, boss."

Giles uncrossed his arm. He took a puff of a cigar and fixed his gaze on Matthew. "You shouldn't have messed with Isaac. Some people are way more important than you can ever imagine. If he gets so much as a scratch, you're in serious trouble." Matthew kept his eyes on the man and asked, "Are you here because of Isaac? Are you aware he's after my fiancée?"

Giles grimly remarked, "What's the big deal if he's taking your fiancée? He's a prominent figure with billions of dollars to his name.

"His grandpa is a military legend, and he comes from a distinguished family. You're not even in the same league as him to be part of the conversation."

Upon hearing that, Matthew's eyes turned icy and sharp, like a menacing dagger. He slowly said, "He's snatching my fiancée. There's no competition to begin with."noveldrama

Giles coldly retorted, "Snatching is just a more intense form of competition, but you were too ignorant to know Isaac's status and dared to lay your hand on him."

Matthew was visibly upset as he glared at Giles. However, Giles simply put away his cigar and approached Matthew with his saber.

"What's with that look? You've got a problem? Normally, I'd just shoot you and be done with it, but that's going too easy on you. I'm going to take my time and cut you up piece by piece."

As Giles spoke, he swung his saber at Matthew's arm. It was clear that he wasn't planning to kill Matthew with one hit.

Matthew suddenly tightened his leg

muscles, taunching himself toward Giles with incredible force like a cannon. Just as he closed in on innon.

Giles, he hammered Giles' head with his hands still cuffed.

After a thud, Giles froze with his saber raised in the air. Blood started dripping from his head. He wobbled a bit and fell to the ground heavily. His legs kicked out a few times before he went completely still.

Standing at the side, Everett gaped at the scene unfolded. Everett never saw this coming. Matthew had been obediently wearing his cuffs and hadn't resisted. But when he got to this place, he suddenly made a move.

Right then, everything felt like Everett had guided Matthew here to kill Giles, rather than him capturing Matthew to this place.

Matthew nudged Giles with his foot. Seeing that Giles wasn't moving, he raised his head to look at Everett.

"Thanks for bringing me here to take care of the mastermind."
