Chapter 331

The bald man shifted his gaze to Silas and took his time walking around Silas, going in circles three times before he finally stopped. Then, he extended his hand. "Hi, I'm Gideon Warner. Nice to meet you." Feeling scared, Silas timidly extended his hand and leaned forward as he shook Gideon's. "I'm Silas. Pleased to meet you."

Standing to the side, Matthew quietly watched their interaction. He was still puzzled about who Gideon was or what Gideon's motives were, but he knew for sure that Gideon wasn't trying to kill Silas. Gideon nodded a few times. "Honestly, you're too polite, and that's something I don't like."noveldrama

Silas was dumbstruck. His grandfather had taught him that being polite was a virtue. But now, he was being told that being courteous was actually a problem.

Silas couldn't believe that some people didn't appreciate good manners, and he was at a loss about what to do next.

Gideon looked at Silas. "Do you know who I am?"

Silas really wanted to tell Gideon he didn't care, but he didn't dare to speak up. He was scared of upsetting Gideon and getting in trouble.

All he could do was politely ask, "Can you tell me who you are?"

Gideon lightly shook his head. He was clearly not happy with Silas' response. "I'm from Genesis Sect. Ever heard of it?"

Silas had a blank look on his face. He'd only heard that traditional medicine used to have different sects, but he didn't want to risk saying something like that.

He was worried that if he got it wrong, it might land him in hot water. On the other hand, upon hearing Genesis Sect, Matthew was shocked.

In truth, Matthew didn't know the origin of Genesis Sect. When he trained with Nicholas, Nicholas never mentioned other sects of martial arts families. He was just surprised by the name "Genesis Sect". Growing up, he'd only come across two legends related to that term-Odin, the world creator from Norse mythology, and Prometheus from Greek mythology.

A martial arts sect specializing in

medicine had chosen the name, Genesis Sect... Were they just arrogant, or did they have the ambition to create something new? That was the reason Matthew was caught off guard.

Looking disappointed, Gideon sighed. "It's no surprise that you haven't heard of it. Genesis Sect keeps a low profile and hardly

interacts with the outside world net

Only three of their members come

out of their sect and join our society.

"Every member is dedicated to learning medicine and hardly cares about the outside world, so running into them is pretty rare.

"I'm here today because your medical skills are impressive. We'd like to invite you into our sect. Are you interested?"

Silas was too afraid to say anything. Silas discreetly glanced at Matthew and noticed him shaking his head.

Clearly, Matthew wanted Silas to turn down the offer, but Silas didn't have the courage to reject Gideon. Hence, Silas simply stared at Gideon silently.

Gideon frowned a little. "Do you know how lucky you are to be invited? Genesis Sect rarely takes in new people and is very strict about it. Being accepted is like hitting a jackpot for doctors.

"Well... that actually might seem a bit

far-fetched But let me put it this way. After becoming a doctor of Genesis Sect, you're a god

controlling the fate of your patients. You have control over their lives, happiness, and well-being.

"Your medical skills might be your tools to earn a living, but that'll be the past. Our techniques can reveal a whole new world of possibilities."

Silas did his best to stay collected, but a sliver of disdain still showed on his face.
