The morning light had just begun to peak through the small crack in the blinds. Mio could smell coffee and food being cooked from his bed. She found her glasses next to her and looked around the room with some confusion before she realized where she was. Her hair was messy and she had a half-asleep look on her face. Her pajama top slightly hung to one side exposing her shoulder. The slightly dark circles around her eyes showed she hadn’t really slept well. She yawned and stood up from the bed slowly, lifting her glasses slightly and rubbing her eyes.
Eizan rounded the corner and looked and the cute sleepy girl in front of him. He was already dressed and ready for the day. He was wearing a black apron and sipping a cup of coffee in his hand. She looked him up and down seeing the handsome young man before her was bad for her heart first thing in the morning. He slowly approached her with a soft sweet smile on his face. She was frozen in place by his charming appearance. “Would you like some coffee?” She didn’t answer right away just staring at his face. “Mio?” Her mind burst into activity and she immediately blushed at him saying her first name. “U-uh yes thank you I would like that.” He laughed softly “Alright, do you like it black or with cream and sugar?” She asked for both cream and sugar and he headed towards the other room. She walked over to the table and sat down she picked up the remote and turned the television to a news channel.
Eizan brought her coffee and sat it on the table in front of her. “I’m making omelets is there anything you don’t like in them?” She told him she wasn’t picky and he turned around and left. She was staring into tv screen sipping her coffee. Her mind was racing "If we got married would it be like this every morning? I don’t know if my heart could take that charming smile every morning. He’s too good looking, plus his cooking is delicious." Her heart started to race as the weather report was being broadcast. "Is it going to like this every morning for a month."
He walked into the room and set down a plate with a well-made vegetarian omelet in front of her. He sat down next to her with his own plate and began to eat. She kept looking at him as he ate. He looked at her and asked “Is there something wrong with it?” She blushed shook her head and began to eat. “Is it to your liking?” She nodded her head with a mouth full of food. He smiled and at that moment she had a delusion that he was sparkling. She looked away "he’s too damned good looking." They ate their breakfast in relative peace while watching the morning news. Eizan looked over at the clock on the wall “You better get ready. You don’t want to be late.” He stood up grabbing her empty plate from the table and walked towards the kitchen. She walked over to her bag of stuff and went to the bathroom to get ready.
She looked at her disheveled appearance in the mirror and the blood drained from her face as she thought. "He looks so charming and handsome and I look like this." Her hair was still all over the place and the shoulder of her pajama top was still hung down exposing one of her shoulders. She immediately became embarrassed. "I wonder what he was thinking seeing me like this." Little did she know all he could do was try to focus on breakfast to keep his thoughts away from the alluring sight before him. Eizan is a teenage boy after all, the thought of a cute girl waking up from his bed with her hair and pajama’s a mess made his heart beat wildly. He had spent the entire time trying to keep his thoughts in line. He actually messed up the first omelet he made which he had not done since he first learned to cook. He even sliced his finger while cutting up onions, she hadn’t even noticed this.
He made two bento’s making sure they weren’t identical so no one would get suspicious at school. He sat hers down on the table with a note and left the apartment with his backpack on his shoulder. She will want to walk to school with me if I don’t leave now, I would like to avoid any unnecessary drama at school for the time being. A few minutes after he left, she came out of the bathroom ready for school. She spent a little extra time getting ready than usual. She looked around the apartment for a second looking for him. She then found the note and the bento on the table. The note read “I’m going on ahead, here is lunch for you today. Also, I left my spare key on the nightstand for you. See you in class.” She blushed as she walked over to grab the key. He was half way to school when his phone rang. He knew this would happen.
“Hello.”
“Why did you leave without me?”
“Well.”
“Well, what?”

“I didn’t think It would look the best if we walked to school together. What would happen if someone realized you were living with me?”
“You could have waited and talked to me instead of leaving a note.”
“So, you weren’t just going to walk to school with me even though you live in the opposite direction. Don’t you think people would get suspicious if we were walking to school together from the direction of my apartment?”
“I see your probably right.”
“Also, don’t forget you made me a promise a few weeks ago.”
“Promise. What promise?”
“Don’t act like you don’t know about it. You still have two weeks left.”
“Hey wait a second that means school will be on break by the time I can talk to you at school.”
“Just now catching that?”
“Jerk.” She hung up the phone. Eizan couldn’t help but laugh out loud as he walked.
He thought to himself "I’m sure I will get a talking to later." As he got closer to school the number of students increased. From across the street “Eizan over here.” Waving at him was Yuuto with a bright smile on his face. He crossed the street and started to walk with him. “Good morning, Yuuto.”
“Morning, did you have fun with your lady friend last night?” A giant mischievous smile rose on Yuuto’s face.
“Damnit keep it down man and I told you they are just for emergencies.” He said in a hushed angry tone.
“Yeah, yeah, that’s what you said.” The smile was still plastered across his face.
They walked the rest of the way to school chatting about the soccer team and other stuff going on at school. Yuuto mainly loves to talk about sports and athletic activities. Sometimes Eizan wonders if Yuuto’s brain is also made out of muscles. They eventually arrived at school and split up to go to their respective shoe lockers. Right as Eizan was about to open his locker, he could see one of the basketball team members slowly approaching him from the corner of his eye. Just as he was getting close to Eizan a voice could be heard from the top of the stairs “Hashimoto Eizan you need to follow me to my office.” The principal was standing there with a folder in his hand. He turned towards the boy who was approaching him smiled and walked off.
Mio had just arrived at the shoe lockers as he was carted off to the principal’s office. Her face was kind of red and she was a little out of breath. She had intended to catch him and give him a piece of her mind. Watching his back slowly walk away she couldn’t help but wonder what Eizan had done to get brought by the principal to his office. From the side Shimada could be seen slowly walking towards her. “Good morning, Mio.” Mio turned to see Shimada standing there and then looked back to Eizan’s who was walking away talking to the principal. “Good morning, Ren. I wonder what he did to get brought to the principal?”
Ren smiled “Who knows, it always seems like he’s in some kind of trouble.”
Mio frowned a little “Yeah, it does seem like trouble follows him sometimes.” She mumbled to herself. “I wonder if I’m also troubling him?”
Ren looked over at her “What was that?”
Mio shook her head and her smile returned “Nothing, don’t worry about it.”
Ren looked her up and down seeing the obviously still slightly out of breath Mio standing before her. “Did you run to school?”
She looked at her “U-um yeah I did.”
Ren shook her head. “Let’s head to the bathroom, your hair is a mess.” Mio blushed.
The pair of girls walked towards the bathroom and were chatting along the way.
“You didn’t call me back last night did you make up with your parents?”
“I uh kind of got kicked out of my house.”
“KICKED OUT!” Mio quickly covered Ren’s mouth with her hand.
“Quiet, I don’t want anyone to know.” She was looking all around to see if anyone had heard, luckily no one was close enough to hear or acted like they hadn’t heard.
“Where did you go last night then?”
“Um.”
Ren’s eyes narrowed and she got a serious look on her face. “Mio, where did you stay last night?”
Mio look away “It’s a long story.”
“You stayed at his apartment didn’t you?” She could see right through her best friend.
Mio’s eyes widened “Ren, let’s talk about this after school. I’ll come over to your house and explain everything. There is so much more to this situation than you could imagine.”
Ren looked at her with a curious look “Really, well ok then. Come to my house after school and we’ll have a nice long chat about you spending a night at a boy’s house again.”
Mio hurriedly put her hand over Ren’s mouth again. “Ren! Don’t say that here.”
