Sakurai was left standing alone in the main room thinking to herself. "Oh god If I knew he lived alone I would have turned him down. He doesn’t seem to have any bad intentions." She stood there gazing around the room as she waited. "There’s not much here is there? Only a bed, bookshelf, coffee table, and tv." She walked over to the bookshelf and read some of the titles. "There are books of all varieties here isn’t there? There are text books here in every subject, most of them are college level. Is he preparing for college entrance exams?"
As she was looking though the books Hashimoto walked in carrying two cups of tea on a tray. He set the tray on the table and grabbed a cup off the tray and handed it to her.
“Here this will warm you up.”
She grabbed the cup “T-thanks.”
“You are welcome.”
She looked back at the bookshelf “You really have a lot of advanced books here.”
“Well, I already finished the text books for this year and next year. These were just the next step I guess.”
“Wait what? You’re already two years ahead in your studies.”
“Yeah, I like to read text books and I get bored easily if things aren’t moving at a brisk pace. I know it’s weird right?”
“N-no I don’t think so. It does explain a few things though.”
Hashimoto tilted his head to the side and gave her a weird look. “What do you mean by that?”
“Umm, I guess it would explain why you’re always bored or sleeping in class. Also, the fact that you constantly score in the top 20 on the assessment tests.”
Hashimoto scratched his cheek.
Sakurai had a bewildered look on her face.
She couldn't help but think "How does someone like this exist. He’s way ahead of everyone else, but it doesn’t seem like he cares about school at all. What’s with him?"
“You’re shivering. Why don’t you use the bath? I’ll grab you some sweats.” Hashimoto moved toward his closet.
Her mind went crazy "Whaaaat? Does he actually expect me to bathe at his house? Is he crazy? There's no way I can do that."
Hashimoto came back with a sweat shirt and pants for her. Sakurai was giving him a queer look. Noticing this he started to frown.
“Look, I know this is weird but you’re going to catch a cold if you stay like that. And I’m not going to do anything strange, ok.”
“Y-you sure you’re not going to do anything strange.”
“100%.” He let out a sigh.
“The bathrooms down the hall. Take it or leave it.”
His mind wandered as she entered the bathroom "Damnit, what even is this situation? There’s a girl showering in my apartment right now. I need to calm myself down. I’ll turn on the tv to check the weather." The weather man pops up on the screen a few seconds later. “The typhoon is likely going to continue until 10pm. All public transportation has been suspended. Please remain indoors.” He buried his head in his hands and thought "Crap, I was going to call her a taxi. Now what the hell are we going to do? How do I get myself into these situations?"
Ding. Hashimoto looked down at his phone. It’s a text from his mother. “The weather looks terrible there, I hope your safe.” He smiled “Yeah, I’m fine mom don’t worry.” he replied “Stay inside ok.” He laughed a little and replied “I will.” Then he thought "Granted I think it might be more dangerous inside than outside at the moment."
Sakurai was in the bathroom inwardly questioning the situation she was in. "Am I really showering in a strange man’s apartment right now? My parents would be pissed if they knew what I was doing. How am I even going to explain the fact that I’m wearing someone else’s clothes when I get home? Is he going to try and peep at me in the shower? If this was a rom-com he would. What am I even thinking, let’s just hurry up and get this over with."

Sakurai walked out of the bathroom to find Hashimoto staring at the weather report with a blank look on his face.
“Is something wrong?”
He turned towards her and his mind froze. Her pale skin had a slight pink hue and she was wearing his clothes. Even though his clothes were loose on her he could see two large lumps that he hadn’t noticed before. She was still drying her hair with a towel. The sight was frankly to alluring for his teenage mind to take.
“Hashimoto?” Sakurai gave him a worried look.
His mind snapped back to reality. And he scratched his cheek. Trying to play off his nervousness.
“Eh. The thing is… The storms worse that we thought. All public transport has stopped.”
Her mind went blank. "No. No. No. what the hell am I going to do? My parents are going to kill me. I shouldn’t have stayed at the library reading."
“Sakurai? Are you ok?”
“No, I’m not ok. How am I supposed to get home?”
They both stared at each other for a few seconds.
“I guess you’ll just have to stay the night here.”
“Whaaat?” She exclaimed. “How am I going to explain this to my parents?”
“Just tell them you are staring at a friend’s house.”
“I can’t lie like that.”
“Why not? You can’t tell them you’re at a boy’s house can you.”
She was staring at him like she was going to cry.
“Listen just call them and explain the situation. I’m sure they will understand. Just call your mom, I bet she’s more likely to understand. Let her handle your father.”
She took out her phone and began to make a call. “Mom.”
Her mom scolded “Are you ok we were worried sick.”
“The thing is.” Sakurai began to explain the situation to her mother. She kept looking back and forth at him as she spoke. “Umm... ok. One second. My mother wants to talk to you.”
He looked at her with a dumbfounded look.
“Why?”
“I don’t know just take the phone.” She shoved the phone into his hands. Eizan took the phone and paused looking down at the screen. "What even is this situation." He thought as he put the phone up to his ear.
“Hello this is Hashimoto Eizan.”
“Hello this is Mio’s mother Sakurai Kagami.”
“Pleasure to make your acquaintance.”
“Well, aren’t you polite. Now, let’s get down to business. I’ve heard everything from my daughter and it doesn’t seem like you’ve done anything inappropriate, yet.”
“Inappropriate! Ma’am I’m not the kind of man who would do that kind of thing with a girl I barely know. Even if she wanted to, I would refuse.”
“Really… Are you saying that you’ve had no bad thoughts with my beautiful daughter at your apartment.”
“Umm… Thoughts and actions are completely different things.”
“Fufufufu. Yes, that is correct. You seem very straight forward.”
“Thanks, I guess.”
“Alright put my daughter back on the phone. Oh, and Hashimoto, thank you for taking care of my daughter.”
“You’re welcome.”
He handed the phone back to Sakurai.
“Yes.” “Mhm.” “Mom don’t say that.” Sakurai blushed. “What are you even saying.” “No.” “Yes.” “Ok.” “Alright.” “I will.” “G-Goodnight.” She hung up the phone.
“She said it was alright if I stayed here.”
“See it wasn’t as bad as you thought it would be.”
“We’ll see about that when I return home tomorrow.”
“Haha. Yeah, I wouldn’t want to be there for that.”
“Umm… Actually, she requested I bring you with me tomorrow morning.”
“Like hell am I going there tomorrow morning.”
“Hashimoto, Pleassse come with me.” She was currently kneeling next to him with her hands on the ground. Her upturned face and those beautiful blue teary eyes seemed to pierce right through his rough exterior.
He thought "That’s just not fair. No way in hell I can tell her no if she looks at me like that."
“Alright, alright just don’t cry ok.”
“Yay, with you there she won’t yell at me as bad.”
Eizan put his elbow on the table in front of him and placed a palm on his forehead. "I think I’m going to get a headache."
“Grrrr.” Her stomach growled.
“I bet your hungry. Do you like curry?”
Sakurai blushed from embarrassment. “Yeah, as long as it’s not to spicy.”
“Ok, I’ll tone it down a little tonight.”
“Wait. You can cook?”
“Of course, I can cook. It’s one of the basic requirements to living on your own.”
“Really. I guess I should probably learn before I move out then.”
Hashimoto looked at her with a soft smile. He thought to himself "I guess she’s not as perfect as she looks. She’s still cute though."
“What’s with that look? I’ll learn to cook by the time I need it. Its’ just mom does all the cooking at the house and I guess I’ve just never really helped. I can bake sweets at least.” Sakurai puffed out her cheeks.
“Ok. Ok. I get it.” Eizan laughed. “I’ll go make dinner. Feel free to read any of the books on the bookshelf or watch tv. I’ll be back in a few minutes.”
