Interrogation of Murata

Later that night Eizan was laying on the floor reading a manga when a chat bubble popped up on his phone from Sakurai. “Can I come over and hang out tomorrow?”

“Tomorrow night should be fine. I have work tomorrow until five.”

“You’re working even though you’re injured?”

“My uncle allowed me two spend the next two weeks doing office work.”

“Still, I think taking more time off is a good idea.”

“I’ll be fine.”

They messaged each other for the next little while. Chatting about random things until they became tired.

“Alright, I’ll see you at 6 tomorrow.”

“See you then.”

“Good night.”

“Good night.”

Sakurai was lying in her bed staring at her phone thinking about todays events. "I had fun today. How long has it been since I hung out with a friend on Saturday? His mother was a little intense though. I wonder who he got into a fight with? He won’t tell me anything and I have a feeling Shimada also knows something. I asked her but she responded that she didn’t know. Why would they hide it from me? Maybe I’ll ask Murata, he seems to be pretty connected at school. We’ve been friends since we were little, I’m sure he will tell me if he knows."

The next morning in a large villa a tall handsome black-haired boy with piercing blue eyes was playing basketball on a private basketball court. His form was perfect, you could tell he had mastered the game of basketball. Every shot was flawless and his ball handling skills would be intimidating to any player on the court. Shot after shot went into the basket, sweat was dripping off of him as he played. He stopped playing when he heard the yell of a cute little black-haired girl in a yellow sun dress running towards him. The sparkling purple eyes of his little sister brought a soft smile to his face.

“Onii-chan, Onii-chan, Onee-sama and Benjiro will be coming over to play soon you should take a shower.”

“Ok, ok no need to yell. I’ll go take a shower right away.”

“Yay, I’m so excited. I haven’t seen Benjiro in forever. Happy, Happy, Happy.”

His sister was jumping up and down almost singing happy over and over again. "I’ll never understand why she loves that weird guy. Maybe it’s because they grew up together. I can understand the feeling." He thought.

An hour later the handsome young man and his cute little sister were having tea under a gazebo in their beautiful garden. “Onii-chan look, look, it’s Onee-sama and Benjiro.” His sister was standing waving at the two approaching guests. A short beautiful, brown-haired, blue-eyed girl, with glasses and a tall, pale, and skinny looking boy approached. The brother sister pairs gave their greetings and sat down for tea.

“Hey Benjiro come play games with me.” Murata Akari grabbed Benjiro’s hand and pulled him away after their first cup of tea.

“Those two are something else.” Murata Towa and Sakurai giggled as they watched the odd pair run away.

“They remind me of us years ago Towa. Except I was short and quiet and you were tall and outgoing.”

“It’s like looking into a clown mirror.” They both laughed and chatted for a little while longer before deciding to go for a walk in the rose garden.

“Towa the roses are beautiful as always, does your mother still take care of them?”

“She used to take care of them before she got sick. The gardener has been taking care of the lately.”

“How is your mother by the way?”

“Her cancer treatments have been going well. I think she’s through the worst of it.”

“That’s good to hear. Aunty is such a wonderful woman. I hate to see her so sick.”

“I’m sure she would be ecstatic if you visited her in the hospital.”

They walked peacefully through the garden laughing and chatting. Sakurai had a beautiful smile and bent down to smell one of the roses.

“Did you hear about what happened to Hashimoto. He collapsed in the classroom and had to be hauled off in an ambulance.”

Murata froze for a second. He quickly calmed himself down and answered her question.

“I heard all about it from a few of my classmates.”

“Do you know what happened to him?”

“Nope, I haven’t heard anything. Why do you ask, did he tell you about it?” Towa's gaze had gone cold.

Sakurai’s back was to him, she was looking closely at a rose.

“I haven’t talked to him since then. I was just curious.” Her internal monolog kicked in "Why am I keeping it a secret from Towa? I know I promised I wouldn’t tell anyone about going over to his apartment. Why did I lie? Maybe it’s because I know Towa would get jealous if he knew I was talking to another boy. He’s always been so overprotective of me. When we were little, he would always protect me from bullying. But sometimes I think he’s a little over protective." And as if on a cue.

“You should stay away from that guy. He’s nothing but trouble. You’ve heard about what happened at his last school right?"

"I knew he’d be overprotective the second I brought up another boy." She sighed internally “I’ve heard the rumors. Who knows if they are true or not.”

“Oh, they are true. I know someone from his old school in Kyoto. They say he crippled half of the soccer team in a fight.”

“If that’s true, how did he get hurt so badly this time.”

“How do you know he got into a fight?” Murata looked at her suspiciously.

"Crap, I got caught. Towa was always perceptive. I have to play this off somehow."

“I saw him when he entered the classroom. How else could he get so injured at school.” She cringed inside "I hope he bought that."

“I see. Maybe your correct in your assumption. Maybe his opponents were just stronger than him this time.”

She thought "He definitely knows something, I’m sure of it." She questioned “Opponents? You think he fought multiple people?”

Towa hesitated for a few seconds. “Umm… I’m not really sure if he was even in a fight. But knowing him he probably deserved it.”

Sakurai was looking the other way. Murata couldn’t see her angry expression. Her anger faded instantly and a huge fake smile was plastered on her face. She turned around and bounded up to Towa in an extremely adorable manner. She clasped her hands behind her back and leaned in a little looking up at the dumbfounded boy. It was like an innocent angel bounced her way up to him and smiled.

“Towa-chan are you sure you don’t know anything? Please tell me what you know Towa-chan.”

"Damn she’s not an angel she’s a devil. She’s trying to manipulate me into telling her everything she knows." Murata isn’t stupid and he’s known Sakurai for years, but even he has trouble keeping things from her when she’s like this.

Scratching his cheek and acting embarrassed. “Mio, I swear I don’t know anything.”

Her sparkling eyes looked directly up at him in a cute and seductive way. “Towa-chan really doesn’t know anything?” She removed a hand from her back and placed her finger on his chest. She pursed her lips a little.

“I-I swear I don’t know a thing.” A drop of sweat dripped from his forehead.

“Alright, I believe you.” She smiled brightly as the sun. She turned around and skipped a little ways away, here ponytail swaying back and forth. She stopped and looked away from him and the cute smile disappeared. She thought "Yeah right, I don’t believe him at all. He definitely knows what happened."

Awhile later, Mio and Benjiro were riding the bus home. Benjiro, looked like all his energy had been drained away. “Did you have fun?” Sakurai giggled.

“That demon girl beat me over and over again in Borio Racing.”

“You never could beat her.”

“It’s to hard to concentrate when she insists on sitting on my lap.”

“Hahaha” Mio giggled a little inside "That little girl is really using everything she has to her advantage."
