Several hours later Hashimoto woke up in the hospital. He was looking up at the unrecognizable ceiling tiles above his head. "Where the hell am I?" he thought as he laid there remembering what happened. Last thing he knew he was lying against a wall behind the gym. He felt the pain in his ribs and his head hurt like hell. He looked to his side to see a man he hadn’t seen in a few months. He strained to speak with his throbbing head.
“Dad?”
Sitting in a chair at his bedside was a stoic looking man. Black eyes, strong facial features, and an intimidating aura surrounded him. He had a distinguished look about him, one word describes his father, intimidating. Granted Eizan knew his father was a kind man. He was a hard-working businessman who had grown his repair company from a one-man operation in Kyoto to well over 100 employees. He was also an accomplished martial artist and was to be feared by any untrained man. Even with these aspects he was kind, loving, hardworking and an all-around good father even if he was rather strict with Eizan’s upbringing. His name was Hashimoto Itsuki. On a side note Eizan doesn’t really resemble his father and takes after his mother’s side of the family more. Giving him the look closer to a foreigner than a pure-blooded Japanese person. He still had many traits proving he had Japanese blood, but the influence of his American mother was very pronounced.
“Son.”
“What are you doing here?”
“What kind of father would I be if I didn’t come visit my son in the hospital?”
“Hospital?” Eizan looked around the room finally grasping the situation completely.
“What happened to you? Did you get into another fight?” Itsuki said with a cold look on his face.
“Hahaha… crap.” Eizan grabbed his side to ease the pain. “More like I let them beat the crap out of me.”
“Who?”
“Does it even matter?”
“I would say it matters. They put you in the hospital.”
Eizan stared at his father.
“Not going to spill the beans huh?” Itsuki smiled a gentle smile at his son. “That’s typical of you.”
“Your aloud to defend yourself you know.” A cold stern expression returned to his father’s face.
“After what happened last time. I don’t think I should.” Eizan laid back on the bed and sighed.
“Hahaha…” Itsuki let out a hearty laugh. “Yes, you may have gone a little far last time. Just hold back a little and it’s fine to defend yourself.”
“I don’t think it’s funny dad. I ruined people's lives last time.”
“Like I said hold back next time. It’s not your fault if the person who attacks you gets injured.”

“B-but I caused the family so much trouble. I can’t do that again.”
“Trouble, I don’t remember it being that much trouble. Besides it’s the job of children to cause their parents problems.”
“You say it wasn’t much, but I know different.”
“Listen boy, there’s a time and a place for everything. As long as you are not the one starting a fight or bullying others, I will always support you. You understand that right?”
“Thanks dad.”
“Your welcome son.”
The room fell silent for a while and Eizan drifted off to sleep. A few hours later he was awoken to the sounds of people talking as he faded back into consciousness. "Dad’s talking to someone isn’t he. I wonder who it is?" A voice that had awoken him early this morning could be heard. "Sakurai why is she here? Crap I’ll just pretend to be asleep. How did she know I was in the hospital? I guess it had to of gotten around the school. I must have been carted off in an ambulance."
Outside of the room a man and two women could be seen talking. “Hello my name is Sakurai Mio and this is my mother, Kagami.” Sakurai and her mother bowed.
Eizan’s father bowed back. “Hello nice to meet you I am Eizan’s father Hashimoto Itsuki. Are you acquainted with my son?”
Sakurai blushed. “We’ve only started talking recently. But I would say I’m indebted to him because of a few matters.”
“Hmm… Knowing that boy he doesn’t expect anything in return. So, I wouldn’t worry about it.”
“Thanks, I’ll keep that in mind. So, is he okay? He collapsed in class and everyone is worried about him.”
“He should be okay soon. He has a mild concussion and a few broken ribs.”
“How did this happen?” Sakurai looked very concerned.
“I’m guessing he got beaten up. Well, to be more precise, he let them hurt him.”
“Why would he do that?” Sakurai asked
“He’s a kind boy. Harming others isn’t in his nature. An incident in the past made him like this. He’s basically became a pacifist; he won’t protect himself anymore.”
“I see.” Kagami chimed in.
Itsuki had basically ignoring the woman behind Mio up to this point.
“Ma’am, do you know my son as well?”
“Actually, I only met him this morning for the first time.”
“This morning?”
Eizan’s eyes fluttered while he was trying to act like he was asleep in the hospital bed. He couldn't help but think "Crap I’m about to get a talking to, I have a feeling."
“He didn’t inform you about my cute daughter staying at his house last night.”
Itsuki’s eyebrow raised. “Really.”
“Mom. Don’t make it sound worse than it really was. He saved me from the typhoon and public transportation stopped before we could call a taxi.”
“Hopefully he was a complete gentleman.”
“He was, he even made me dinner and breakfast, he even let me sleep in his bed.”
“Is that so? You slept in his bed?” Kagami questioned.
“Y-yes. Why are you two looking at me like that?” Mio had a weird look on her face.
Eizan’s eyes flutter again. "Shit I’m in trouble."
“Cough, cough. Why don’t we leave things there for today.” Itsuki replied.
Itsuki looked over at his son and gave a wry smile. “He looks to still be asleep. He should go home in the morning. Will you check on him tomorrow for me little miss Sakurai?”
Sakurai looked over at the sleeping boy lying in the hospital bed. “You can count on me.” she Replied with a determinedly.
“Thank you, young lady.”
“Mrs. Sakurai I’m sure we’ll meet again.” Itsuki looked over at Kagami
“Yes, I’m sure we will.” She gave him a knowing gaze.
Mio and her mother left from in front of the room and Itsuki returned to his seat.
“So, tell me about this girl sleeping in your bed. I know your awake.”
"Crap!"
