Goddess stuck in the rain.

Hashimoto left the library with a large smile on his face. His thoughts were focused on the Sakurai as he walked "She’s really cute when she blushes. I don’t know why she stopped me but at least I’m not tired anymore." He was walking toward the class room when Sano stopped him.

“Hey Eizan.”

“What’s up Ome?”

“The teacher is looking for you.”

Hashimoto’s face contorted a little.

The teacher called out to him “Hashimoto please come here for a minute.”

“Yes sensei.”

“Follow me to my office for a minute.”

All the students in the class were watching him. His face was full of embarrassment. He angrily thought "I wish they would all just mind their own business. I don’t think I’ve done anything wrong." He followed the teacher to her office.

Yokoyama Izumi, it’s her fourth-year teaching high school. She graduated from Tokyo university near the top of her class. She never thought she would be teaching at her old school. She thought to herself "How did I let my uncle talk me into this?" Her uncle Yokoyama Ichigo is the head of the school. She had many prospects after college, but she owed her uncle a favor and became a teacher. She’s your typical Japanese beauty. Long black hair, large breast that made her the envy of many women. Her thin framed glasses rested on her delicate face. As Eizan walked behind her she was thinking "I should have been married with children by now. How come I can’t find a husband. This damned school just keeps me too busy to even think of having a boyfriend. Now it's time to deal with the most troubling kid in my class, Hashimoto Eizan. His grades are mediocre but he aces almost every exam. He barely pays attention in any of the classes and sleeps most of the time. I was surprised today when he returned all his assignments. Normally he would only complete about 80% of them. But today, he wrote an incredibly detailed report on Toyotomi Hideyoshi. I don’t know if he cheated or he did it himself. It feels like an assignment he would have normally skipped. Calling it troublesome or simply saying he forgot."

Currently, sitting in the teacher’s office Hashimoto was gazing at his beautiful teacher across the desk. He couldn’t help but admire her beauty. Like many men he was completely enamored. If it wasn’t for her personality, he would find her extremely attractive. But she was a little too strict for his tastes.

Eizan with a fake smile on his face “You’re looking rather radiant today sensei”

“Flattery will get you nowhere.” She frowned at the smiling Hashimoto.

“So, what did you want to see me about?”

“I brought you over here to discuss the paper you wrote for history class.”

Hashimoto furrowed his brows and frowned. “Is there something wrong with it?”

“I wouldn’t say there is anything wrong with it. Rather I would say it was well written and informative. It was a rather in depth if I had to give it a description.”

He grumbled “Then what’s the problem?”

“Usually, you don’t put that much effort into the assignments.”

“I don’t normally have the time for such efforts.”

“…”

“If that’s all.” Eizan stood up to leave.

“Wait.”

“I would like you to put more effort into your studies. You seem like a bright student and I think with a little more effort you could be near the top of the class. I heard about what happened at your last school. I know you were at the top of your class. Don’t let that incident control the rest of your life. There's no reason to let it affect your time here.”

He stared blankly at her. “I don’t know what you’ve heard about me but I’m a no-good delinquent. You shouldn’t waste your time on me.” Hashimoto coldly replied.

“That’s for me to decide isn’t it?”

They both stared at each other for a few seconds.

“Can I go now?”

“Yes, and behave yourself.”

She thought back to the rumor surrounding him "That boy. I know he only defended himself. But I guess he did take it a little too far. Granted I don’t know if I would have acted differently in that situation."

“Good job today boys be careful on your way home.” The coach yelled.

Damn it looks like it’s going to rain. Hashimoto looked up at the sky. He made his way to the locker room and got changed. "Man, it’s really coming down." On his way out of the school he could see the silhouette of someone standing underneath the eaves of the bike rack. Underneath his umbrella he walked slowly passed. Standing there drenched underneath the awning was a beautiful girl with bright blue eyes looking at him. She looked miserable. Thinking as he walked "She must have gotten drenched on the way to her bike. Did she forget her umbrella? Maybe I should just leave her alone. Ah, damnit."

“Sakurai.”

“Hashimoto?”

“Did you forget your umbrella?”

Sakurai with a slight blush on her face nods her head.

He remembered yesterday "Her house is pretty far from here isn’t it. I’m guessing its 20 minutes by bicycle. How’s she going to get home in this downpour?"

“Um your house Is quite far from here isn’t it?"

“Y-yes.”

“Hmm.” He hesitated for a second inwardly cursing himself for what he was about to do. “My place is a short walk from here. Would you like to come hang out until the rain stops?”

Inwardly questioning his life "Why did I just ask her that. She’s going to think I’m a creep."

“Really, can ?.”

“Umm yea I don’t mind.”

He continued questioning his crazy decision "How did this happen? I keep running into her. Now were walking to my house under the same umbrella. Our shoulders are almost touching. My hearts beating out of my chest. I need to calm down." Hashimoto looked down at the girl walking next to him and gives a kind smile. Examining her appearance he thought "She looks like she got really soaked. I bet she’s freezing."

Funnily she was inwardly questioning herself as well "How did this happen? I keep running into him. Is he stalking me? No, I don’t think that’s the case. I saw a few people on the soccer team leaving right before him. He must have just got off soccer practice. I can’t believe he invited me to his house. I must be crazy. He’s so close." Sakurai looked up at him and noticed he was looking at her with a smile on his face.

“Umm. Is something on your mind.”

“Ah... I guess I was just wondering if you were cold.”

She thought "He’s worried about me?"

“Now that you mention it, I’m freezing.”

Inwardly realizing how cold she was at the moment "I hadn’t even noticed it I was so focused on everything else."

“Don’t worry were almost there.”

Still second guessing him self "Did I really just bring Sakurai into my apartment? I bet if Shimada finds out about this I’m screwed. I’m going to get crucified for sure."

Sakurai was standing in the entry looking at him with her head slightly tilted.

Realizing he hadn't said anything when they entered "Oh, crap I need to say something."

“Umm welcome come in.”

“Thanks for the hospitality.”

"Thank God I cleaned last night. I wouldn’t want her to think I kept a messy apartment."

“This apartment is rather small for you and your parents, isn’t it?” Sakurai said as she gazed around the obviously one room apartment.

“What do you mean? I’ve lived alone since I moved here.”

“But, but d-does that mean were here alone.”

His mind raced "Oh, crap does she think I’m trying to get her alone. That’s not my intention at all. I’m nervous as hell even bringing her here."

“Umm yeah it does. Don’t worry I’m not going to do anything to you.”

She looked at him weirdly.

Hashimoto walked down the hall into the bathroom and came out carrying a towel.

“Dry yourself of or your catch a cold.” He proceeded to drape the towel over head as he walked past.

“Would you like some hot tea?”

She hesitated “… Sure, that would be nice.”

Hashimoto walked into the kitchen and proceeded to make tea.
