Awhile later Hashimoto entered the room with two plates of delicious smelling curry. She looked down at the delicious looking curry in front of her and thought. "He can actually cook. It smells delicious. I thought it he was just boasting a little while ago."
“Is something wrong.”
“Umm… no it looks quite appetizing.”
“You’re surprised, aren’t you?”
“Well, kinda.” She took a spoon full of the fragrant smelling curry. “Wow it great.”
Eizan smiled softly. “Glad, you like it.”
After finishing their meal Hashimoto returned to the kitchen to wash the dishes and she continued to think and read a manga she found on his bookshelf. "I didn’t think he would read romance manga. He has manga's from every genre here. This just doesn’t seem like something the average high school boy would read. It’s a pretty interesting story though. The most popular girl in school, everyone in the school calls her an angel, lives next to the school’s loner and eventually she starts taking care of him. It seems their love will blossom from there. I wonder what people call me? Nah I doubt I have a nickname."
Eizan came back into the room and threw himself onto the bed. He proceeded to lay there and watch a video in English on his phone. Sakurai couldn’t help but look over at him curiously.
“Do you understand that?”
“Hmm.” He looked up from his phone. “Yeah, I understand it just fine.”
“Really. I understand English enough to pass classes but not enough to watch a video.”
“Oh… umm… My mothers from America.”
“Do you speak it at home?”
“I learned both English and Japanese at the same time growing up.”
He turned back to his screen lounging on his bed. A few minutes passed with the two sitting in silence.
“What are you watching?” The silence was finally broken by Sakurai out of nervousness.
“Hmm… It’s a video of a college lecture from Stanford university in America.”
“Are you studying for college entrance exams?”
“Nope. I was just curious about the subject. I don’t plan to go to college.”
“What. Why?”
“I’m not that interested. Besides I’m better at fixing things than academics.”
“Fixing things?”
“I can fix most things. I’d say it’s just a natural talent I have.”
“Is that why you work with your uncle?”
“Haha yeah that’s part of the reason.”
“What’s so funny?”
“You know for a girl who barely speaks at school you are really talkative.”
“You know for an outgoing guy you’re really not being very talkative. Don’t you think it’s a host’s job to properly entertain their guests?”
“Guest huh. I was more thinking you were a cat I rescued from a passing storm. Don’t worry I’ll bring you back to your owners in the morning.”
“Rude.”
“Hahaha…” he giggled.
“What would you like to do princess?”
“…” She stared at him warily.
He narrowed his eyes a gave a seductive smile. “Would you like to play a game?” Eizan slowly stood up from the bed and closed the distance between the two. He crouched down in front of her getting relatively close staring her straight in the eyes. His hazel eyes were staring right into hers with the obvious intent to cause mischief. “Whatever should we do?”
The narrative has been illicitly obtained; should you discover it on Amazon, report the violation.
Sakurai gulped as he moved closer. She closed her eyes reflexively out of nervousness.
Eizan smiled at this cute reaction. He giggled to himself "I find teasing her extremely fun." He stood up and put a cheesy smile on his face. In a rather jovial voice, he said “Would you like to play Borio Racing.”
Sakurai opened her eyes to see him moving away. Still in shock she was glaring at him with a dumbfounded look.
“Well, you said you were bored right?”
She angrily thought "Bastard, I thought he was about to try something. Wait why didn’t I resist?" Sakurai blushed.
“Did you think I meant something else?” The evil smile plastered across his face was very evident.
“Jerk!”
“Hahaha… come on let’s play.”
He couldn't help but think "She’s so easy to read. Quite defenseless."
He handed her a stitch controller.
“Have you played before?”
“Sometimes with my younger brother.”
“You have a brother?”
“Yeah, he’s four years younger than me. He’s really shy and quiet. He mainly stays in his room and plays video games.”
“Alright, let’s play then.”
For the next 2 hours they played video games laughing and chatting.
“Wow. Its already 10pm.”
“It’s getting rather late isn’t it.”
Hashimoto stood up and went to the closet pulling out a futon for guests.
“I’ll sleep on the floor you can take the bed.”
“I’m going to go take a shower.”
He left the room and headed to the bathroom.
Her thoughts wandered "Do I have to sleep on his bed." Mio slowly approached the bed and patted it. "I’m wearing his clothes right now aren’t I?" She brought the sleeve of the shirt up to her face. "It smells like him." Her heart immediately started to race. "What am I doing?" She dove into the bed and covered her face with the blanket. "It’s no good I’m too conscious of him, this is driving me crazy." She gazed out the window watching the rain pour down, trying to calm herself down.
A few minutes later Eizan came out of the bathroom shirtless wearing nothing but gym shots. Wiping his hair down with a towel.
“What are you wearing? Put on a shirt.” Mio was covering her face with both of her hands blushing ear to ear.
“Huh… but this is what I always wear to bed. I can’t sleep with a shirt on.” Eizan giggled.
“That’s.”
“What haven’t you ever been to a pool.”
“I can’t swim.” She lied for some reason. She could swim just not very well.
“Wow. Just don’t think about it.” Eizan walked over to the light switch and turned off the light.
“Goodnight Sakurai.”
“Goodnight Hashimoto.”
Her thoughts went wild "He’s so muscular. Did he do that on purpose to mess with me?" Her heart was beating so fast she began to feel light headed.
He laid on the floor staring at the ceiling questioning his choices "Maybe I should have worn a shirt. I can’t believe there is a cute girl laying in my bed. The girl they call the “Goddess of the Library.” An unattainable flower that barely talks to men. At most she gives a short reply. She seems to talk a lot though. Damnit I’m too nervous, I can feel my heart beating. It’s so unnerving."
They both slowly drifted to sleep exhausted from the events of today.
The next morning light was barely trickling in the window. Thump, a weight fell on top of him as he laid on the floor. There lying on top of him was an indescribable beauty staring straight at him with a pair of beautiful blue eyes. Time seemed to freeze.
“Umm… can I help you?”
She immediately scurried backwards.
“S-sorry.” she stuttered. “I tripped.”
“Oh… I thought you were throwing yourself at me.”
“I wouldn’t do that.” She yelled.
“Calm down. What happened?”
“I can’t see without my glasses. I got up to use the restroom and fell. I’m a little lost right now.”
“Let me go grab them for you.”
Eizan stood up and walked over to the bed. There he found the glasses next to the pillow. He slowly approached the frozen beauty who was sitting there in a kneeling position. He reached up sliding her hair behind her ears with both hands. He gently placed the glasses on her face. The dumbfounded Sakurai stared at him.
“Better now?”
“Y-yes thank you.”
He smiled at her
She puffed out her cheeks “Baka.”
He could help but laugh internally "Oh, I’m the idiot." She ran to the bathroom. Eizan was giggling as she ran away. "She’s so clumsy. But what’s with that wake-up call?" He could feel the heat in his face as he thought about being straddled by a beautiful girl. He placed a hand on his forehead. "How am I going to face her parents this morning."
In the bathroom Sakurai was sitting on the floor with her back against the door panting heavily. Her face was as red as a tomato as she thought about what just happened. "What the hell am I doing? He’s going to think I’m a pervert." She stayed in the bathroom for twenty minutes.
After tentatively coming out of the bathroom she could smell something delicious wafting through the air. Sitting at the table was Eizan eating an omelet. She stared in disbelief at the food in front of her.
“I made breakfast. I hope you like eggs.”
She nodded.
“Eat, we have a long walk to your house.”
