I can not believe that Chloe had the audacity to insult my wife and accuse her of being a man pretending to be a woman! The day after Eve's birthday I decided to correct this issue in my way. I told Eve that I would make sure to bring shame on Chloe's family and I decided to take care of it on Sunday.
I don't normally work on Sunday but seeing that I only have Sunday to put my plan to shame Chloe and her family in motion I had to act soon. That's because Eve will be returning to her job and training on Monday.
I called my new assistant to make sure that he would be at the office as soon as the event that took place at Eve's party happened. Since it was a Sunday I gave him until noon to get to the office and I'm going to give him overtime pay for it.
I also called Chloe and her father along with her two brothers to tell them to come into the office. I figured it would be perfect if I fired them at the office.
I told Eve to come with me to the office because I wanted her to see something.
"You said that you had something to show me?" Eve asked. As she took a seat on the couch in my office.
I smirked. "Oh yeah I do."
I went over to my office phone and dialed my assistant's office's number. "Is everything ready?"
My assistant answered. "Yes, Chloe and her father along with her brothers are here."
"Prefect, Simon, you can send them to my office now," I said.
"Yes sir," Simon said.
I hung up the phone and Eve looked at me with a curious look. "What's this all about?"
"You'll see," I said.
Chloe entered my office alongside her father and two brothers. Chole's father didn't look happy.
"What is the meaning of this?" Chloe's father snarled. "Your wife hurt my daughter! You need to do something about her!"
I raised an eyebrow. "Excuse me? Did Chloe explain to you why Eve did what she did?"
Chloe's father paused and shook his head. "No, not really. She just said that your wife harmed her for no good reason."
Eve burst into laughter. "I knew it! I fucking knew it! I knew Chloe was a brat! I thought she was going to make me look like the bad guy with this."
"And exactly what have you been telling Chloe about how much power you have in the company?" I asked while narrowing my eyes.
Chloe's father looked away. "Um…"
"Father, don't you have the power to fire Levi?" Chloe said.
I gave Chloe's father an amused look. "Did you tell her that you owned the company? Are you plotting something against me that you know won't work? Or do you have such an ego that you think you can do whatever you want?"
"I…. I…" Chloe's father stammered. He sighed and hung his head. "I might've bragged a little about me getting the job as President even though I don't own the company."
I snorted. "Wow, so I gave you a promotion and it went to your head. And this is how you repay me?"
"But you should do something about your wife!" Chloe growled. "She's the one who harmed me for no good reason!"
I laughed a wicked laugh. "See that's where you're wrong. I looked at the security cameras at the venue and I heard exactly what you guys were saying. Plus I have eye witnesses that saw the whole thing. Did you or did you not try to slap my wife because of your jealousy towards her?"
Chloe shook her head. "No I didn't! I told you," she pointed a finger at Eve. "She harmed me for no good reason!"
I scoffed. "Oh really? And did you accuse my wife of being a man who's pretending to be a woman?"
"That's because it's true! I mean seriously, she has muscles and is built like a man!" Chloe declared.
That statement made Chloe's father laugh, "Seriously? You do realize that there are women who are bodybuilders that have muscles right? So based on your logic then your own mother is a man pretending to be a woman too! That's because your mother has muscles too! You're a real dumbass Chloe!"
"Do you really think you'll ever get a shot with me?" I asked.
"One of these days you'll change your mind and you'll be mine!" Chloe said.
I took a deep breath and let it out. "No, it'll never happen, not even if you paid me to and not even if you were the last woman on Earth! I would've thought that me not paying attention to you even when I wasn't dating anyone that you would get the hint, but I guess not."
"But-" Chloe started.
I shook my head. "No but's Chloe. You really crossed the line this time. You don't just go up to someone and try to slap them just because you're jealous of them."
Chloe's father's eyes went wide and he gasped, "Chloe did what?"
I looked over at Eve. Eve nodded. "Yup! She got mad and said I was a man pretending to be a woman, that I shouldn't be allowed to be in high society and then got mad when I responded because that my reaction wasn't satisfactory to her. That's when she tried to slap me and I just defended myself."
If looks could kill Chloe probably would've dropped dead. But then again, I'm glad I haven't run into an Agent that Eve works with that has the power to kill someone with a look. Chloe's father was giving Chloe a glare so hard it looked like he was seeing red and I don't blame him.
"Why you little bitch!" Chloe yelled.
Eve laughed, "If the shoe fits then wear it. Projection much?"
I covered my mouth to stifle a laugh at that comment. I know Eve can handle herself in a fight but I want her to learn that she has people who she can depend on. I regained my composure quickly because Eve was getting ready to tear Chloe a new one. So I put up a hand to silence Eve and she got the message and didn't say anything.
I cleared my throat, "Now that's out of the way, as of today Chloe, you and your father are fired!"
Chloe and her father gasped. I thought about canceling the internships that I gave to Chole's brothers but I changed my mind. "Don't worry your brothers still have their internships, of course they won't be hired here but I'll send them to another company when they finish here."
"Please, Levi, give me another chance! I swear I won't harm your wife ever again!" Chloe begged.
I looked over to see Eve smirking and I could tell based on the look that she had on face the gears were turning in her head. I raised an eyebrow. "What are you thinking about Eve?"
"Can we send them out for a moment?" Eve asked.
I nodded and had Chloe and her father leave the room.
"So what is it?" I asked.
"What if we give Chloe another chance?" Eve suggested.

I paused. "Huh?"
Eve shook her head. "It won't be with her working as a secretary that's for sure or better yet it won't be anywhere other than with a maintenance crew. Or you can have her work as a maid in the lowest position you could possibly give her. You wanted to bring her and her family shame right? Well just firing her probably won't have the desired effect. Maybe it's just because of how I was raised but I was taught that if you want to discipline someone don't let them off with just a slap on the wrist."
I paused again. Eve sighed, "It's a good thing Chloe and her father are normal humans or I would suggest a worse punishment. So you handle this the best way you see fit, if you think just firing them is fine then that's fine too."
I thought about it and I knew exactly what to do. I called Chole and her father back in the room.
I looked at Chloe. "I thought about my choice to fire you and I'm not going to."
Chloe breathed a sigh of relief. I looked at Chloe's father. "The same thing goes for you."
Chloe's father breathed a sigh of relief.
Right when they thought they were safe I said, "But you won't be working in the same position that you were before."
Chloe and her father looked at me confused. I continued, "You both will be demoted and when I say demoted, I mean demoted demoted."
Chloe raised an eyebrow. "Meaning?"
"Meaning you guys will only be allowed to work with the maintenance team. It's actually called Housekeeping. You'll be changing light bulbs, changing the bed sheets for every room in the hotel that you work for." I stopped and gave Chloe an evil smile. "Actually, Chloe, you'll be changing the bed sheets for every room on every floor at the hotel. Except for the Presidential Suits and any fancy room on the top floor. I don't want someone like you cleaning them."
I looked at Chloe's father. "You're in the same position as Chloe. I gave you a promotion and it went to your head. So this is what happens when you think you have more power than you actually have."
Chloe looked at me as if I had grown another head. I tilted my head. "What?"
"You want me to do housework?" Chloe asked.
I nodded. "Yup!"
"I didn't go through the training process to be a secretary just to clean toilets!" Chloe growled.
I shrugged. "Alright then you could just quit. Because those are your only options at the moment if you still want to work in the industry. You can either quit or work as part of the housekeeping staff. It's your choice."
"You don't have to tell me twice," Chloe's father said. "I'll take the job. It's better than nothing."
I nodded and then looked at Chloe. "What do you say?"
Chloe glared at me. "I quit." She shot a glare at Eve. "This is all your fault! If you hadn't met Levi I'd be the one-"
I groaned. "Again with that? I don't like you never have and I never will. Even if Eve wasn't in the picture you'd never have a shot with me. I hope you understand that and the next time you think you can go after someone I care about, think twice because I will show no mercy next time."
After that comment, I told Chloe's father to report to his new job on Monday and I told Chloe to go to the unemployment office on Monday. Once they were gone I heard Eve sigh, "You know, it's a good thing they're just normal humans because I would've done a whole lot worse. But on the bright side, you excel at your job just like I excel at mine."
I reached over and pulled her into my arms and kissed her. I felt myself getting hard but I wanted to wait until we got home so I backed off. "You know I want you now. But I want to wait until we get home for more privacy."
Eve smiled and nodded. "Okay then."

When I returned to work and my normal training on Monday I reported to the training grounds and started doing my stretches before training.
"Alright, you've missed a few days of training because of your birthday, so let's get started!" Trainer Michael said.
I rolled my eyes. "It's not like I'm out of shape because I didn't train for a few days."
He scoffed, "Well then, I'll make sure to add on two more semi trucks for you to pull and you're going to pull them ten miles instead of five with that smartass remark."
"But-" I started.
"Not but's Eve," He said. "I don't want you getting lazy! That's because you'll have an evaluation coming up at the end of this year!"
"What type of evaluation?" I asked.
He shook his head. "Can't tell you, but you'll find out soon enough."
I sighed, "Alright, like you said let's get started!"
After I pulled the semi trucks for ten miles I was surprised to see that I hadn't broken a sweat.
"Why are you surprised about how strong you are now?" Trainer Michael asked.
"I don't know. I just would've thought I'd at least break a sweat after this like I've done all the other times," I said.
He nodded. "That just means it's time to up that anty."
I paused. "Huh?"
He nodded again. "Uh-huh. You'll be fighting fifty of my top trained assassins. And it's time for you to take your protection necklace off."
My eyes went wide. "But it helps me control my powers! Especially my demon powers-"
He rolled his eyes. "That's exactly why at least for when we're training you're taking that necklace off and I'll teach you how to control your powers. Now, take off your necklace and give it to me."
I hesitated but then did as I was told.
"Good, now when the fight starts you should have no trouble activating your powers," He said.
"Question why am I fighting fifty of your assassins? What about the twenty-five that I was fighting before?" I asked.
"Because you're too strong for just twenty-five of them and they're not really fighting with their powers now. They're just doing hand-to-hand combat with you. These assassins that I've picked for you will be using their powers. So in today's fight, anything goes," Trainer Michael said.
When I heard Trainer Michael say that anything goes I smiled an evil smile. Trainer Michael looked at me and laughed. "Now that's the Eve I like to see!"
He turned around and whistled and out of nowhere two Agents appeared. They had to at least be 6ft tall or maybe a little taller. Regardless of the height they were huge. Not to mention they were the ones who had the abilities to transform into animals. I'm so glad that I don't have that type of ability because that's just creepy to me.
One of the Agents decided that they wanted to change into a huge spider. It looked like a black widow spider. I wondered if this Agent had venom in him just like a black widow would.
I wasn't going to find out by standing around and doing nothing so once Trainer Michael gave the signal to start the fight I lunged at the Agent and slid underneath the spider. As I was doing that the spider shot his web at me and I grabbed a hold of it and tugged on it. When I got behind the spider I jumped up on a nearby ledge and pulled the spider up.
I was getting ready to hang the spider on the ledge when he flipped around and cut the web. The other Agent that appeared in front of me decided to change into a snake.
As I turned around to face off with the snake a couple of fireballs shot at me and I dodged them easily.
"Use your goddamn powers already!" Trainer Michael yelled. "I said anything goes for a reason!"
I was getting ready to say something when a couple of fireballs shot past me and I took a deep breath, let it out and fired two ice balls and they canceled out the fireballs. I saw the snake try to wrap itself around me when I dodged it.
With every attack that came my way I either dodged it or fired back with an attack of my own by using one of my abilities. At one point in the fight I decided to use my favorite ability which is making weapons out of thin air. I was getting shot at with all sorts of different weapons like guns, daggers, flamethrowers etc. Even in the midst of all of that the snake and the spider were still after me.
I was having fun and I had no idea how long the fight went on for. All I know is that by the time Trainer Michael called off the fight, the sun had gone down.
Trainer Michael shook his head. "It's a shame you didn't kill anyone."
I blinked. "Was I supposed to?"
"Not really, but I thought you might like you normally would on a mission," Trainer Michael said.
"Oh," I said.
After training I went to the locker room and got changed and went home.

A couple of days after Eve started back with her job and her training from what I know she's mostly just focusing on her training at the moment. From the looks of it they've gone back to pushing Eve really hard again. Everyday I see her come home from work with bruises a couple of times, she had deep cuts on her arms and she just shrugged it off when I asked about it. But just because I knew those cuts were going to be gone in the morning doesn't mean I'm not concerned about it.
Today was no different. Eve came home from work around 7pm and she looked like she had been used as a freaking punching bag! I think they pushed her too hard this time because she staggered a little bit as she walked in the door.
She crashed on the couch and I sat down next to her. I saw that there were deep cuts on her right arm and what looked like a bullet wound on her left leg. Of course those wounds were already half healed but it bugged me.
I sighed, "Don't you think they're pushing you a little too hard?"
Eve looked at me and nodded. "I do but there's nothing I can do about it. I've tried to say something about things like this in the past but my superiors just laughed at me and said I needed to toughen up and stop being a wuss."
My jaw clenched when I heard that. "Well that's just cruel!"
She shrugged. "Well that's the way things are with my line of work. At least I get tomorrow off. I can rest and just chill out for the day."
"There's gotta be something that can be done about it," I said.
She shook her head. "Don't worry about it."
"But-" I said.
"Just don't okay?" Eve said.
I saw she was starting to get upset so I dropped the issue. I made a note to talk to Ms. Terra about this first thing in the morning. I knew there's a chance this might be a lost cause but I was going to try and do my best to help Eve out.
