I smiled as I sat down at my desk hearing that Izzy had finally had some success in making contact with Eve while she was awake. Based on the aurora coming from the necklace I gave Izzy, Eve's powers are growing by the day. That's good because she's going to need her powers to keep growing because of what's going to happen in the future.
Just like Izzy works for me I work for someone who is the King of Hell and he goes by the name Satan. Although Satan isn't really his real name. He prefers to go by that name because likes his privacy when he's not working.
I'm pretty much an on-call type servant for Satan even when he's not working. But that's okay because I wouldn't have it any other way. I wouldn't have the very many granddaughter's that I have today if it weren't for Satan holding me in high regard because I'm good at my job.
Eve is actually one of my granddaughter's. I knew she was from the moment she was born. What those cults don't realize is that the original Agents that got what they call Demon Power were vessels for my daughters and sons. I sent three daughters and three sons out in search of the one person who would be able to withstand my powers if I had to possess their body for any reason.
Some of the Agents that gained the Demon Power weren't able to control it and others could but just barely. True, I told the original Agents that I couldn't venture outside of the cave without a vessel but that was a lie. I would venture outside of the cave but I only did it every once and a while. One day when I went out of the cave I felt a very strong aurora pull me towards a hospital.
It was a hospital in a place that one of the original Agents had set up and started calling themselves leaders of a cult. When I got towards the hospital was when I felt it. I heard it, a baby crying their lungs out and the baby sure had a set of lungs on them! Her cry shattered the very window that I was standing next to.
That was when I knew she was one of my children. I think the leaders of those cults knew that Eve would one day become a very powerful Agent. However, after a week after she was born the Demon Power within her went dormant. That was when I sent Izzy to her.
I sent Izzy to watch over her and give me updates on how Eve was doing in life. From what I've seen Eve has had an okay life. I have no idea what twisted game the leaders of those cults are playing at but they literally took Eve's parents away from her at the age of seven. When Izzy told me about that I was pissed.
I wanted to take Eve away from that cult but I knew it wouldn't do anyone any good. It would just make things harder for Eve and she was already dealing with the thought that her parents had abandoned her.
As I was talking to Izzy today, getting an update on things, I wasn't too happy about finding out how intense Eve's training had been. But then I thought about it and I agreed that this approach would be the best way for her to strengthen her powers. She's been doing well with her training although she hates her trainer who just so happens to be her Uncle who also has the Demon Power.
From what I know of, the original Agents were able to take the powers that I granted to them through being vessels for my children and transfer them to other people. There were a couple of Agents that were born with the power like Eve was. But I could sense that those Agents wouldn't be able to handle being my vessel for what I had in mind.
As I was getting updates from Izzy I got summoned to Satan's office.
"Enter!" I heard him call out as soon as I knocked on the door.
Satan smiled when he saw me and I bowed. "Your Highness?"
"Yes Jesse my boy come in! I see you've been happy lately. The last time I've seen you this happy was when you married Jezebel!" Satan said.
I grinned when he said that. "Yeah! That's because I found her and her powers are active once again!"
"Huh?" He paused but then he nodded. "Oh yeah, that's right! The grandchild that you found decades ago?"
I nodded. "Yeah and her birthday is this weekend! I'm thinking about sending her a little gift. But of course I can't tell her who it's from, it's not in the plan yet."
He gave me a thoughtful look. "I see. And what type of gift are you thinking about giving her? Because I would like to give her a gift too!"
My jaw dropped. That's because the only time Satan hardly ever gives anyone gifts! He's not much of a gift giver. He's told me that his wife complains about his gifts because of that factor.
"But you hardly ever give anybody any gifts!" I said.
Satan chuckled. "You know I give people gifts that I deem important to me. The only reason my wife hasn't gotten anything that she calls 'amazing' yet is because she's way too picky. I tend to want my gifts to be on the thoughtful side."
"Oh, okay then so what do you have in mind?" I asked.
Satan smiled and it sent a shiver down my spine because every time he smiles it makes him look evil which is fine since he's the King of Hell and all.
"Can't tell you… It's a secret," Satan said.
I shrugged. "Alright then."
Satan looked like he was going to say something else when we heard a high pitched voice say, "Satan! Dear, are you guys discussing what to get our niece for her birthday?"
Satan seemed rather annoyed by this. If there's one thing he hates it's when his wife eavesdrops. "Yes Matilda!"
Matilda entered the room and sat down next to me. Even though I'm Satan's assistant I'm also his half brother. At first when Satan found out about me he wasn't too happy about it but then he got to know me and became rather fond of me.
Matilda grinned. "So when are we going to meet our niece Jesse?"
I rolled my eyes. "She would be your grandniece because she's my granddaughter. Seeing that I have yet to meet her myself you're going to have to wait a little bit longer. I'm waiting for the perfect time to say hello, okay?"
"Well you might want to do it soon because I'm getting tired of waiting," She looked at Satan. "And I'm sure you're getting tired of waiting too aren't you dear?"
Satan nodded. "Yeah that's true. But going to assume since you barged in here after listening to our conversation that you want to be a part of planning the birthday present?"
Matilda gave an innocent look and feigned being surprised by Satan's accusation. "I'm shocked! I would never do that!"
Satan rolled his eyes. "Uh-huh, sure you wouldn't… Well I'm getting her a birthday present separate from you so you can get her a birthday present on your own, okay?"
Matilda pouted. "Fine."
As I listened to Matilda and Satan bicker about Eve's birthday present I thought about when I would meet her. I thought I might just meet her on her birthday. I could put on a disguise with my magic and no one would know it was me.

Eve's birthday is coming up soon. As a matter of fact it's this weekend and Ms. Terra has asked me to keep Eve busy. Not that that would be a problem considering Trainer Michael is keeping her on her toes by pushing her with her training. I don't understand why he's insisting on pushing it with her power so much.
I mean he has her pulling semi trucks for five miles at the start of her training and then everything else he has her do is crazy!
Not to mention George has disappeared because he said wants to do what Eve is doing. He wants to develop powers like her. I know enough to know that when he sets his sights on something he'll go for it. But what George fails to understand is that Eve was raised to do the job that she does now. As soon as she could walk, she was trained to fight and do everything needed to do her job when she was of age.
She's also a prodigy so she has natural talent. From what I know of, George doesn't have any of that so he'll be starting from square one.
I want the days leading up to her birthday to be filled with fun and not training. Ms. Terra has gotten permission from Elder Lewis to suspend Eve's training until after her birthday which is fine by me.
So today is Wednesday and I took Eve to a place that I know she's bound to love going to. Eve is nowhere near being a typical woman that likes going to shopping sprees and stuff like that. As a matter of fact, she finds shopping sprees boring and that was a surprise to me. But then again, it makes sense considering her job is a high action always on the go type of job. She's hardly at home when she works and I hate that but I'm the same. When I have to work I'm hardly at home.
I think she needs to slow down a little but I don't think that's going to happen anytime soon.
I was sitting out in the garden with my Dad and Mom and Sister whose name is Kelly and we were discussing what to do for Eve's birthday. Of course Mom wants a big extravagant party for her, but I'm not so sure that Eve would want that. However she did marry into a rich family.
"So the plan is to bore her to death with a shopping spree and then take her out to the racetrack?" Mom asked.
I nodded. "Yeah, that'll at least keep her away from her surprise until it's time. Even though shopping sprees bore her, at least try to find a way to make it fun."
Kelly giggled. "I can see why she would be bored with shopping sprees."
"Yeah, considering her job keeps her on her toes," Mom said. "I couldn't be a soldier, that job is way too much of a high energy job anyway."
Dad nodded. "I've heard that her trainer is really pushing her on her training lately. I wonder what for?"
"How did you find that out?" I asked.
He shrugged. "I have my ways. Just like you do."
I was going to say something about that but I figured it wasn't worth the argument so I didn't say anything.
"Honestly, I think Evelyn has brought nothing but honor to the Harriman Family because she's a soldier," Dad said.
"Uh-huh and how much you wanna bet she played with action figures instead of Barbie dolls when she was a kid?" Kelly laughed.
"Actually she was being trained to do martial arts ever since the age of seven," I said. "So I doubt she had time to play with toys at all."
Mom's jaw dropped. "Seriously?"
Kelly frowned. "Was she ever allowed to be a normal kid? You know, like letting her run around and play with the other kids around her before that?"
I shook my head. "I don't know but I'm going to guess probably not."
I made sure to leave out the part where Eve was being trained to kill someone when she was seven. I think Mom or anyone else in the family would pity Eve and Eve doesn't want that.
"Well that settles it even more! We'll give Evelyn a birthday that she'll never forget!" Mom said while she clapped her hands together with glee.
Kelly nodded. "Yes, I agree!"
"Alright, now let's go wake her up and get started on that shopping spree!" Mom said in a singsong voice.
Dad chuckled. "And Levi and I will take care of making arrangements for the racetrack!"
I couldn't help but laugh at Mom and Kelly's enthusiasm about Eve's birthday party. They promptly got up from the table and excitedly went to go get Eve.

"Are you serious right now?" I asked. I was on the phone with Mother Terra and I couldn't believe what she just said.
"Yup, all of the Elders, even Elder Lewis surprisingly, they all agreed that you have the rest of the week off from your job and your training until next Monday. Because your birthday's coming up soon," Mother Terra said.
"I can't believe the Elders would allow that!" I exclaimed.
"I know right?" Mother Terra said. "But anyway, have fun with your week off and I'll see you on your birthday. Oh, and your Mother In-law and Sister In-law should be at your room soon to wake up. At least they won't have to wake you since I already woke you up for them. Later!"
The call ended and as if on cue there was a knock at my door.
"Oh Evelyn!" I heard a voice call out, "It's time to get up sleepyhead!"
I chuckled at Kelly's singsong voice. She's always cheerful around me even when I'm in a bad mood.
"I'm awake Kelly!" I said. I opened the door and Kelly was standing there with her arms crossed and she didn't look happy. I raised an eyebrow. "What?"
"No fair," Kelly pouted. "I was supposed to be the one who was going to wake you up!"
I snorted. "That's what you're mad about? Oh well, maybe next time? You'll have plenty of chances for that considering I have the rest of the week off until next Monday because of my birthday."
"That's good news!" Kelly cheered. She paused. "You're not planning on going out dressed like that are you?"
I looked down at my outfit and laughed because I was still wearing my pajamas. Levi seems to think it's funny that I wear pajamas to bed when we're married. Of course when I share a bed with Levi, I sleep naked.
My pj's were a brown sweatshirt with teddy bears and red hearts on them. I shook my head. "Nah, even though these Pj's are rather comfortable I don't think it would be a good idea to walk out in public with them on."
Kelly nodded. "Yup, that means I get to dress you!" She gave a dramatic gasp. "We can try the new outfits that Mom got you from that last shopping spree."
I laughed as I watched Kelly enter the room and go over to the walk-in closet.
"Hmm, you know you really need more clothes in here!" Kelly said.
My jaw dropped. "Are you serious? I think I have plenty of clothes at the moment, thank you. Besides, I'm not going to be able to wear them all considering everything that's been going on with my job lately."
"Oh I heard about that," Kelly said. "They hardly let you have any time off do they?"
I shrugged. "Most of the time I'm lucky to get at least one day off. But I guess this week is an exception because my birthday is coming up."

"Wow, well I'd say that this week off is well deserved!" Kelly said.
She picked out an outfit for me. It consisted of blue jeans and a light blue sweater. She also picked out a small diamond necklace that Levi's Mom gave me on the last shopping spree I went on with her. I liked that diamond necklace because it has the diamond is set in a cute little butterfly and it goes along with the necklace that I wear to help control my powers.
Kelly also picked a set of blue sneakers to go along with the outfit. Instead of wearing my hair in the usual ponytail, I left it down and tied back in a half ponytail.
Kelly clapped her hands with glee. "Excellent! You're ready to go now!"
"Evelyn! Kelly! Where are you?" Levi's Mother called out.
"We're in Evelyn's bedroom Mom!" Kelly answered.
"Would two please just call me Eve?" I asked. "My friends and family call me Eve. Evelyn just sounds too formal. We're family now so we shouldn't have to be so formal, right?"
My Mother-In-law paused and then nodded. "Okay then, Eve it's just weird having a child that I can give a nickname to now. My other children don't need nicknames."
"Uh-huh and how many times have I asked you to give me one Mother?" Kelly said.
Mother shook her head. "Nope. I gave my kids strong names for a reason and besides I haven't thought of giving you guys a nickname. You just don't have anything unique that I can call you by."
"Mom!" Kelly whined. "I mean like a cute nickname like Princess or Sunshine or how about Cutie Pie?"
I snorted. "You really want a nickname like Cutie Pie? Seriously? Okay, I'll humor you… Cutie Pie!"
Mother laughed, "Yup, be careful what you wish for Cutie Pie!" She paused. "Well when you were growing up you were kind of chubby, so maybe I should call you Chubby Pie?"
Kelly gasped. "Oh heavens no! Now that nickname would be rather embarrassing! Is that why you put me on a diet in High School?"
"Yup! You were fifty pounds overweight, I'm surprised you didn't get picked on because of that. I know how shallow kids can be," Mom said.
I thought about my High School years and the High School I went to was more like boot camp for Assassins. That was what I was being trained for ever since I was seven.
"So what's going to a normal High School like?" I asked.
"What do you mean? Oh you mean like making friends and trying to find your classes through a maze of hallways at school? Or going to parties or prom?" Kelly responded.
I nodded. "Yeah."
Kelly was about to say something when she paused. "Wait, did you ever go to High School?"
I sighed, "Not really. When I turned fourteen I was sent to boot camp and spent most of my days training and learning the basics like Math and Science etc."
"Oh good! You know what? I know something that would be much better than going on a shopping spree!" Kelly said.
"What?" Mother asked.
"Storytime!" Kelly chimed.
Mother did a facepalm. "Really? I'd rather go shopping instead."
"Tell you what, every story we tell Eve, Eve has to tell us one of her stories," Kelly said. She looked at me. "Does that sound fair? Because I'm very curious about how you were raised and why you decided to be a soldier. The friends I had in High School who were girls didn't have the type of job in mind for their future."
"Makes sense, not everyone is built for the job," I said.
"Okay it's settled! Let's go have some tea out in the garden and then Levi as a surprise for you. I can't say exactly what it is but I can give you a hint, it involves race cars!" Kelly said with a smile.
So that's what we did. We went out to the garden and Kelly started telling me about what normal a High School is like. Turns out it's not it's cracked up to be. Some kids don't even want to be at school because it was deemed as boring and they'd skipped. The ones that skipped classes often got in trouble and depending how bad they were sometimes students were expelled.
I told Kelly how easy kids had it at a her High School because if you got in trouble at boot camp discipline would be normal people would call torture. I remember one time I got in trouble for trying to skip my training for the day and I got disciplined by Trainer Michael sticking my head in a bucket of water until I couldn't breathe. Then he made me do double the training and pushed me towards my limits.
Of course Kelly was horrified by that. I shrugged it off because that's just how it was for me growing up. I told her about the time that I had a couple kids picking on me and challenged me to a fight because they were jealous of my status. That was a big mistake for them because I sent them packing. They knew not to mess with me after that.
"Well how I was raised you don't let people push you around and you don't back down from a fight," I said. "Because backing away is a coward's move. The funny part is that I was actually smaller and younger than the three idiots that decided that they could take me on in a fight. Just imagine being jealous of a ten year old when you're getting ready to get your job assignments when you turn eighteen."
"Wow, talk about being immature!" Kelly said. "And I bet they were stronger than you too?"
I nodded. "At that time they were, but the fact that I managed to kick their asses even with my small size back then is saying something."
Mother smiled when her phone went off. "Well now, look at the time! This has been very interesting and all but we need to get going so we can meet up with Levi."
Without another word we left the house and I was curious to see exactly what Levi's surprise for me was going to be.

{Levi}
I smiled when I saw Eve being brought to the race track. She was blindfolded because this was supposed to be a surprise.
"You're almost there sweetie!" I heard Mom say. She led Eve closer to me. "Almost there…"
When Eve was standing in front of me Mom took off the blindfold. "Ta-da! Now, all you gotta do is look around."
She looked around and grinned. "Oh my goodness! A racetrack," She looked at me, "Please tell me I'm racing?"
I chuckled. "Well duh! Unless you prefer to watch?"
Eve shook her head. "No way!"
"Good this is a state of the arch race track! It's the same type of race track that professionals train to race in NASCAR," I explained.
"Wow! Really?" Eve said.
I nodded. "Yes indeed!" I took her hand. "Now let's go!"
***
{Eve}
I can't believe that Levi took me to a race track! I love it and it's much better than going on a shopping spree any day. I just don't understand why rich people need so many clothes anyway.
It's the perfect surprise for me considering I used to do racing as a hobby when I was a kid. At least when I was in boot camp there were down times and I had some free time. So that's when Daisy, Evan and I would go to the local race track and do some drag racing. A lot of times I'd hear of other agents that were there placing bets on who would win.
Most of the time Evan would win and sometimes I would win. Daisy on the other hand would either tie with Evan or just hang back and throw the match for whatever the reason.
So this was going to be a piece of cake. I mean considering I've had to do high speed chases on the job while getting shot at, I think I got this. Of course, Levi wouldn't let me set foot in a race car without having a professional show me the ropes.
Once that happened, I smiled when I saw the race car that I was going to be racing in. Then Levi announced that the professional who showed me the ropes would be the one driving and I would be sitting in the passenger seat. I was a little bit disappointed but that was Levi showing his protective side. Which is kind of cute and annoying at the same time.
"Alright then," I said, "Who are we racing?"
"You're racing him," Levi said.
He pointed to the second race car on the track and I squealed in delight when I saw who it was. The guy that was in the second car was none other than Ryan Spetti. So far he holds the lead on how many wins in NASCAR out of all of the racers this year!
I looked at my driver. "That's going to be a tough race. You think you can beat him?"
The driver laughed, "I'll do my best!"
When we finally got to the race Ryan didn't hold back. My driver didn't hold back either. The race ended up in a tie. I hate ties but it's better than losing.
I met up with Levi again and I couldn't contain my excitement.
"That was awesome!" I cheered. "It feels good to be able to ride in a car at a high speed without getting shot at for a change! It felt like I was doing my hobby again back when I was at boot camp!"
Levi paused. "Wait, you actually had a hobby growing up?"
I nodded. "Yup and it's the only hobby that Trainer Michael allowed me to do. He said it was a practical hobby considering that I could use the skills learned for whatever job assignment I got."
"I see that's interesting," Levi said. "Now let's go get some food. I don't know about you but I'm hungry."
Went to grab some food and the rest of the week was so much fun! I couldn't remember a time in my life where the week leading up to my birthday was so much fun.
***
Saturday finally came around and I had no idea what to expect but I got a big surprise when it came down to the party. It was Princess themed but with an adult version of the theme and it didn't look like it was a party for a ten year old. That was great because I would take one look at it and view it as an insult if it wasn't adult themed.
The walls in the venue were painted gold and the venue looked like a ball room. There were white and gold plated chandeliers hanging on the ceilings and white candles at every table that had gold tablecloths.
The outfit I was wearing matched the theme of the venue. Although I thought it was a bit overboard, but it's my birthday so okay then. I was wearing a gold ball gown. Mother made sure that it wasn't too puffy or uncomfortable for me to wear because she knows that I don't favor dresses much. I had on silver wedges there was no way that I was going to wear actual high heels because I don't know how to walk in them. It would be so embarrassing if I were to trip and fall flat on my face at my own birthday party!
"Ah there's the birthday girl!" I heard Levi's Dad say.
He came up to me and gave me a hug and smiled at me.
I nodded. "Hey Dad, how's it going?"
"Everything's going great! I swear this was the most fun I've had planning a party for someone in years!" Dad said.
"Really?" I said.
Dad nodded. "Yup, you are one of a kind you know. It's not everyday that I have a son that's gotten married to a soldier!"
I smiled when I saw him puff out his chest with pride.
"There you are! I was wondering where you ran off to!" Kelly said.
Kelly came up to me with two other women beside her. She turned to them. "Guys, I would like you to meet my friends. This is Chloe and the woman standing beside her is Lily."
"It's nice to meet you!" Lily said.
Chloe on the other hand looked at me with contempt for whatever the reason. Kelly frowned when she saw the look on Chloe's face. "What's your problem?"
"I don't see what Levi sees in her. She looks like a man pretending to be a woman!" Chloe snapped. "I mean just look at those muscles on her, it's disgusting!"
Kelly and Lily gasped at Chloe's remarks and Chloe just gave me a smug look. I don't know if she wanted me to back down or something but I wasn't going to give her that satisfaction.
"Excuse me? I'm sorry if I don't have the look that you think a stereotypical woman should have but you wouldn't last a day in my world!" I said.
"Just like you shouldn't be allowed to mix with high society!" Chloe snarled. "A woman, oh excuse me I mean a man like you shouldn't be allowed to have parties like this!"
"That's enough Chloe!" Kelly said.
Chloe came up to me and brought her right hand back as if she was going to slap me and before her hand could even connect with my face I grabbed her wrist and twisted her arm behind her back.
"How dare you!" Chole roared. "Do you know who you're messing with?"
"No!" I snarled. "Do you know who you're messing with?"
"Your Levi's wife! He doesn't have as much power as my Dad does!" Chloe shouted. "Just wait until I tell him what you did!"
"Aww that's cute you're pulling the whole 'my dad is going to come after you and you'll be sorry' card!" I said. "What's the matter? You can't fight your own battles bitch? Bitch please I can fight my battles and then some! I've dealt with little brats like you too! You can get your Dad to fight as many battles for you that you want to! But let me tell you that I also have people in my corner that can trump whatever power your Dad has. And this disrespect will NOT be tolerated!"
"Oh I think you might want to take back your words and your hand off my wrist!" Chole shouted.
"Oh hell no! Because I'm not done with you yet! Let me ask you something, have you faced down mafia bosses and killed them in the name of this country? Are you able to do a high speed chase while having bullets shot at you on a daily basis and on a daily basis find yourself staring down the barrel gun?" I continued. "I doubt you have! So if I were you I'd take your jealous remarks and insecurities out of my face and out of my goddamn party! And don't ever come before my sight again.
"If you thought you could get away with disrespecting a soldier you thought wrong. Not to mention I'm going to find out who your daddy is and tell him exactly why I treated you the way I treated you today and I don't think he'd take too kindly to that."
Chloe's eyes went wide. "N-no please don't do that."
I gave her an evil smirk. "What's the matter? Didn't you say that I'll be sorry once your dad comes after me? Oh wait, you were planning on making up some bullshit defense to make me look like the bad guy? Wow you're such a brat! When I let go of you, you are officially banned from anywhere near me or Levi, do you understand?"
"Yes I understand! Please let go!" Chloe whined.
I felt someone put a hand on my shoulder. I looked to see that Dad was not happy.
"That's enough Evelyn," Dad said. "The security guards will take it from here."
I let go of Chloe's wrist and handed her over to the security guards and they promptly escorted her out of the room.
"Unbelievable!" Dad said. "I knew Chloe wanted a shot with Levi but I didn't know she would go that far because of her jealousy! She was mad that Levi got engaged to Rachel and wanted me to find a way to break them up. (As if I'd do that.) But then you came along. I'm glad you were able to handle her."
Kelly nodded and gave me a look of pride. "I'm so glad to have a sister like you! Nobody in their right mind would mess with you."
"Yeah, it's about time we had an excuse to get rid of Chloe! That woman is insufferable!" Lily said. "I mean seriously having to listen to her whine day and night about how Levi won't even look her way. And why would he? She's not that great!"
Kelly laughed, "Yeah I know."
"Okay, what happened? And why was Chloe escorted out of the party with a swollen wrist?" Levi asked.
I didn't realize that Levi was standing there at first because I was still kind of seeing red after what happened. Levi tapped me on the shoulder. "Eve, what happened?"
"Huh, oh it seems that Chloe has a crush on you and she thought she could get away with trying to slap someone around just because she's jealous of them," I said. "She got the swollen wrist as a parting gift for her behavior even though it's my party."
Levi's eyes went wide. "She tried to slap you because she has a crush on me? You gotta be kidding me!"
"Oh yeah I can confirm it," Kelly said. "She even had the audacity to call Eve a man!"
Levi went from surprised to angry. "She what?"
Kelly nodded. "Yeah she called Eve a man pretending to be a woman."
Levi grit his teeth. "Well that does it! I was only putting up with her because she's friend's with you Kelly. I would've thought that over the years of me dating other women and not giving her the time of day that she would take a hint and back off. But I guess she's not the sharpest tool in the book. But as of today she not only ruined her life, she ruined her family's life as well. And I'll make sure that she gets a tone of shame and backlash for what she did."
"What are you going to do to her? I know you have a tendency to go overboard when it comes down to stuff like that," Kelly said.
"As of today Chloe's fired from her job at the hotel and I'll see to it that she'll never get a chance to get a job at any of the businesses that I own. And I'll let her dad know exactly what went down here today and he's fired from his job as well," Levi responded.
"So wait a minute," I said. "Chloe said that her dad was more powerful than you."
Levi snorted. "Seriously? She tried to use that card in order to scare you? Her Dad is one of the presidents at one of my many hotel's that I own. He is at my beck and call and I don't know what he's been telling Chloe but he has no power over me. So he's fired too. Unfortunately I'm going to have to cancel the arrangements that I made for her brothers to work at the same hotel as well."
"Don't you think that's a bit overboard?" Kelly asked.
I shook my head. "I don't think that's overboard. I think them losing their jobs is a slap on the wrist to me. At least Levi's not going to shove their heads in a bucket of water till they can't breathe. Now that type of punishment would be overboard."
Levi paused. "Huh?"
"That's a story for another time," I said.
"Oh," Levi said.
"Alright, alright everybody!" I heard Mother say.
I turned around and saw a stage in front of a dance floor and Mother was standing by the microphone.
"Testing, testing…" Mother said while tapping the mic.
I covered my mouth to stifle a laugh.
"The show for the recent event that took place is over so stop recording for that and turn your attention to the stage for the main event!" Mother said. "Mrs. Evelyn Harriman, please come to the stage to start with the cake cutting!"
I raised an eyebrow and looked at Levi. "Cake cutting?"
"It's a tradition that a person celebrating their birthday gets to cut the cake. And after the cake there's another surprise!" Levi said.
I couldn't help but think of how adorable Levi is when he looks at me with joy.
As I stepped onto the stage I turned around to see a huge cake coming towards me with everyone in the room singing happy birthday. I felt like I was a kid again. After the cake it was time for the presents.
A lot of the gifts I received were jewelry. A couple of the gifts were check's with the amount varying from $500 to $500,000. Which makes sense because if you can't figure out what to get someone, just give them money. That's fine by me.
Right after the last gift was presented, suddenly the air in the room turned cold.
"Okay, who turned up the AC?" Mother said.
I looked in front of us to see a man walking towards the stage. He reminded of Elder Lewis with the way he carried himself.
Mother Terra came up to me with a strange look on her face. "Eve, this man apparently is one of your relatives from your father's side. It's strange because I could've sworn I knew everyone from your father's side. I guess not."
I looked at the man and he did look like an older version of me but in male form and he had a couple of gray streaks in his hair. He wore a gray suit, the jacket and pants matching with a white shirt and a red tie. He wore black dress shoes to complete the look.
"Mrs. Evelyn Harriman, please excuse my late arrival but I am your great grandfather," the man said. "I came to deliver a very special gift and I had it made just for you."
The man approached me and held out a flat box. I opened it to reveal that there was a silver bracelet with one red ruby on it in the shape of a heart. I looked closer and saw that underneath the ruby was a small engraving that had my name on it.
"I've waited for twenty-seven years to give this to you because I had no clue where you were until now," the man said. He smiled and nodded. "Well I did what I came here for so I shall take my leave."
"Wait, who are you?" I asked.
"You'll find that out later because now is not the time," the man said.
With that he left the party.
