{Levi}
"So what type of ring are we looking for?" Mom asked as I met up with her at a jewelry store. The place was called: Gloriosity. It was a place well known for the elite rich people to go to shop for their jewelry.
Gloriosity was the perfect to shop for Evelyn's wedding ring because I want nothing but the best for her just like I wanted for Rachel. Little did Mom know she was going to be able to meet Evelyn today since she's been well enough to get out the house.
When Mom and I entered the store we were immediately greeted by the first employee we saw. The employee was a middle aged man with black hair that had gray streaks in it. He had a little bit of a beer belly and with his white beard it kind of reminded me of what Santa Claus would look like in a biker gang. His name was Waldo. This guy actually helped me pick out Rachel's wedding ring.
As soon as Waldo saw Mom he hugged her. "Isabella! How are you my dear?"
Mom giggled, "I'm doing fine Waldo. I'm here to help my son pick out a ring for his new fiancé. It's going to work out this time I just know it will."
Waldo chuckled, "Ah yes, the mystery woman!" He looked at me. "So are we at least going to meet the woman?"
I smiled. "Yup! She should be here any minute now!"
It was as if right on cue I heard Evelyn say, "Levi! There you are!"
I turned around and my jaw dropped when I saw her. I had picked a wonderful dress that I knew would complement her eyes. It was a light brown dress that went a little bit underneath her knees. The style of the dress was called a tea length dress, whatever that's supposed to mean. All I know is that's what the seamstress told me it was. Honestly, I didn't care what style of dress it was, what I did know was that Evelyn was going to look stunning in it and I was right.
Evelyn's hair was let down in waves down to her shoulders. She came up to me and hugged me.
I kissed her and then I couldn't stop grinning because of how beautiful she looked. "Evelyn, I'm glad you made it. I want you to meet a couple of people." I turned to my Mom whose jaw was also dropped. "Evelyn, this is my Mom."
Mom composed herself and smiled. "Evelyn, darling! It's nice to see you again! You look drop dead gorgeous! And you have a good taste in clothing."
Evelyn gave a shy smile. "Thanks for the compliment but as far as the clothing goes, Levi picked the dress out. I've been told my fashion sense on my own is nonexistent."
Mom snorted. "Honestly, I kind of expected that because of what you do for a living."
Evelyn nodded. "Mhm."
"So what type of ring are you looking for?" Waldo asked.
"I was thinking since my job is a little rough, something durable at least," Evelyn said.
I snorted at that response. Of course she would think about that for her ring. She is a Secret Agent after all. Yeah her job is for sure rough alright.
Evelyn looked at me and raised an eyebrow. "What?"
"Yup, of course working as a Security Guard is a little rough silly. But yeah definitely need something durable and classy considering you are getting married to a billionaire after all," I said. I didn't want to say that we're already married because we signed the marriage license because I want things to feel as real as possible. I want to keep saying Evelyn's my fiancé until the ceremony next weekend.
Waldo looked at Evelyn in surprise. "A small woman like you works as a Security Guard? I mean no offense by that."
Evelyn laughed, "Oh don't worry about it. I get that reaction all the time. But yes, I'm a Security Guard. I work at the mall a few blocks from here. So I guess you can pretty much say I'm a Mall Cop. But yeah, dragging drunk and disorderly people to the cops or breaking up a gang fight because a group of people decided that they wanted to try and start a riot is not a cakewalk."
"Wait, people actually do stuff like that at the mall?" I asked.
Waldo started laughing and Evelyn joined in. When Evelyn composed herself she said, "Yeah it happens and sometimes I have to call the police in order to escort someone out of the building. Actually as a matter of fact the main reason a lot of stores in the mail are still remodeling is because a group of people decided to go in and vandalize a handful of stores and loot them. That happened three months ago when I first started working at the mall."
Waldo perked up. "Oh yeah I remember that incident! It was all over the news when it happened. The reports mentioned something like there were only six security guards on duty that day and somehow they managed to capture a couple of the rioting people and escorted innocent civilians to safety. The reports also said that there was only one female security guard who actually killed the group of people who were holding a handful of hostages in one store." He paused. "Wait, was that security guard you?"
Evelyn smiled and nodded. "Yup! That was me. I got there just in the niche of time too because one of them was getting ready to kill people and start making demands."
Stolen from Royal Road, this story should be reported if encountered on Amazon.
"Alrighty then let's get back to ring shopping please," I said. At this point I felt kind of stupid for asking such a stupid question. Just because I'm stuck in an office all day running a business doesn't mean that the world just stops moving.
Waldo cleared his throat, "Ah yes, of course, and I do believe that I have just the thing. Wait right here, I'll be back."
When came back he had a long thin box that looked like it was made to hold rings. He opened the box and Evelyn gasped when she saw the different rings inside of it. The bands on the rings were different colors like gold, silver and rose gold. A couple of the rings had simple designs and some of them had diamonds inside the ring band with one diamond on top of the ring band.
Evelyn looked at the rings and then looked at me. "What do you think?"
I tilted my head. "Huh? What do you mean?"
"I'm getting married to a billionaire and I have no idea what it means to be classy," Evelyn said.
"I see," I looked at the rings and settled on one. It was a silver and black ring that had three small diamonds on it. The diamonds seemed to be put inside the ring's band so that they wouldn't be broken if they took a couple of hits or fell out of the ring easily. The ring's colors were black and silver which was perfect because the dress code when Evelyn works as a Secret Agent is black and it doesn't clash with the dress code when she works at the mall for her cover job.
Not to mention the ring won't clash with any other outfit that she might choose to wear. I smiled when I picked out the ring. "This one is perfect for you!"
Evelyn looked at the ring and grinned. I absolutely loved the way her eyes lit up as she looked at it. I looked at Waldo. "Do you have this ring in Evelyn's size?"
"Well that depends on what size her ring finger is. Hold on, let me get the ring sizers," Waldo said. He went over to the other side of the room and picked up a huge key ring that had a lot of different sized rings on it that were just plain metal bands. It took us a couple of minutes to figure out what Evelyn's size was.
When we figured out Evelyn's ring size, I couldn't stop myself from proposing to her. I got down on one and proposed to her. She happily said yes to me and I slipped the ring on her finger. I was so happy to see her smile because these past few weeks she hasn't smiled much. Mostly because of being sick or in pain or dealing with her emotional turmoil. I felt happy that I could bring her happiness for a change.
Unfortunately as soon as we stepped out of the mall we were bombarded by a crowd of people who I'm going to assume was a mix of reporters and fans of mine. To this day I still can't believe I have a fan club but then again I am somewhat famous because of my businesses that I run. I did my best to ignore the cameras and I said that I had no comment as I guided Evelyn back to the car that was waiting for us out front.
I didn't realize how hard Evelyn had been holding my hand until she let go and I felt a throbbing pain where her hand was.
Evelyn blushed. "I'm sorry. Here let me help."
She grabbed my hand and touched it with her free hand. A bright green light came from it and the pain that I was feeling from before went away. I blinked. "How did you-"
"I'll explain more when we get home," Evelyn said.
I nodded. "Okay then."

Once we got home I took Evelyn to my room and we sat down on the bed. Evelyn sighed, "Did you read through the contract to see what abilities I have?"
I nodded. "Yes." I proceeded to list some of the abilities that she has including the fire, ice and Demon Power that I knew about already.
"That bright light that you saw come out of my hand, that was one of my abilities," Evelyn explained. "I can heal people to an extent. But one of my favorite go to abilities is the weapons creation one."
"The ability that you can make just about any type of weapon with?" I asked.
Evelyn smiled and nodded. "Yup! Wanna see?"
I nodded.
Evelyn opened her hand and a bright flash of light happened. The flash of light disappeared and I gasped when I saw in her hand a small pocket knife. She handed it to me. "Here you go. The thing about the weapons that I can create with this ability is that I can't get rid of them on my own so most of the time I just create weapons to fit the situation when I'm in danger. So think of this weapon as a gift from me to you."
I looked at the weapon in awe. Before I could say anything Evelyn's perked up as if she had sensed something. "I hear two cars pulling up in the driveway. The drivers for both the cars are men and in one car it has your mother in the backseat and the other car has two men, one of them looks like the older version of you. The other one looks a younger version of you. That's strange, why wouldn't your family just come in one car instead of two?"
My jaw dropped. "How did you-"
"It's my tracking ability and my Agent training kicked in for some strange reason. Mother Terra wasn't kidding when she said that my Demon Power ability would strengthen my other abilities three times as much," Evelyn said.
There was a knock on the door. "Mr. Harriman, your parents and your brother are here to visit you. I have also been informed they want to see your fiancé as well."
"Alright then, I'll be there in a minute!" I said.
"Yes Mr. Harriman," then there was silence. When I thought that the maid was gone I got up from the bed.
I took the pocket knife that Evelyn made for me and put it in my left pants pocket. After I did that I held my hand out to Evelyn and smiled. "Shall we?"
She nodded. "Sure."
We left the bedroom to visit with my parents.

"Evelyn! So nice to see you again today!" Mom said as she went up to Evelyn and greeted her with a hug.
Evelyn smiled and returned the hug. "Yes it's nice to see you again."
Dad surprised me and Mom as he somewhat pushed Mom out of the way to greet Evelyn. Evelyn gave him an amused look and said, "Hello Mr. Harriman. I'm Evelyn, your son's fiancé."
Dad chuckled after he hugged her. "My son sure knows how to pick 'em! And please just uh call me Dad we are going to be in laws after all."
"Same thing goes for me," Mom said. "Just call me Mom."
"And just call me George," George said.
I rolled my eyes to him and George returned the favor by rolling his eyes at me. Evelyn nodded. "Okay hi George."
I couldn't stop myself from snorting because of how formal she said his name.
"That sounded way too formal," George grumbled underneath his breath.
Evelyn blinked. "Excuse me?"
George shook his head. "Nothing."
Evelyn's eyes suddenly went wide. "Crap…"
I frowned, "What? What's wrong?"
"He's here," She said.
Dad raised an eyebrow. "He? He who?"
"Elder Lewis…" She said.
