'A Master?' The General thought, not excepting a random figure with such power to invade his space.
With narrowed eyes and a smile, he looked at the person directly in front of him.
'There are thousands of Masters scattered across each empire, however, from his aura, I can deduce he isn't on the weaker scale.'
Mages with lower talent often produce circles of lesser quality compared to those of geniuses, nonetheless, with the aura coming off from the robed man, he knew he was didn't get there via an artifact.
Just as many mages leave trials for rewards, such rewards are often termed 'artifacts' these treasures have various differing uses and rankings.
However, artifacts, once broken, leave a huge amount of mana.
This residue of mana can be used to rapidly form a circle, however, the purity of such a circle declines as a result.
Nonetheless, many are stuck with no progress as mages even after years, so desperately, they use this technique.
Unfortunately, even that isn't enough to climb over the large mountain known as 'talent'.
"Why did you not enlist earlier?" The General asked, curious.
"I simply didn't have the power I have now."
Although the answer couldn't be confirmed, it also wasn't something he could be suspicious of.
He had no information of the man in front of him.
"Take of your hood."
Although any spy would comply as their faces were unrecognizable across every empire, he was simply curious of the man courageous enough to, potentially, invade and spy on enemy lands as the war is to completely explode.
Complying with the order, Isaac took off his black hood, which merely revealed his silver hair, white and red mask, and of course, his golden eyes.
The general, seeing the obvious play of words, released his aura.
"You dare play with me?" An aura of pure red, which could be said to be identical to his hair, was released.
With the crushing pressure applied on his body, Isaac managed out a few words.
"Alright, alright, cool off, General." With a playful remark, Isaac felt the pressure disappear.
With the pressure released, he finally took off his mask.

Although it didn't restrict his air flow or anything of the like, having a mask on at all times was quite irritating.
"Happy now?" With a grin, Isaac asked.
Closing his eyes and not responding, a medallion appeared in his right hand.
With mana, it carefully flew towards Isaac, landing on his hand.
Looking at the medallion with two swords piercing soil, with a bird fly high above, unfettered and unrestricted.
Turning his face back up to the General, the general explained it's use.
"This a medallion befitting those with the third-highest authority. To others, you're an Expert-Ranked magus, and from henceforth, you are now one of my soldiers."
Continuing, the general told, "As a new soldier, you shall refer to me henceforth as General Kenneth."
Kenneth, the general quickly sent Isaac on his way.
"With this medallion, head towards camp. There, show off your medallion to one of the people giving orders, there, they'll show you the way to your tent, and your new home."
Beforehand, Isaac was taught proper etiquette, he didn't want to stand out from a normal citizen or soldier too much, especially when he was seen as a Master classed magus.
Putting his hand, clenched into a fast directly above his heart, he bowed slightly, replying in formal language.
"Yes, General Kenneth."
----
Heading towards the camp, which was, essentially, a city.
Although houses were put down to place tents instead.
The reason for this was people getting complacent inside a building or not being able to get out of the building as quickly as for example, leaving a tent.
In a battle between mages and augmenters, quick reactions can save dozens of casualties at a time.
Nonetheless, just like Kenneth said, they were a multitude of people ordering people around, getting work done efficiently.
Greeting the closest one, he asked, "Hello,"
Flashing his medallion for a quick second, he asked, "Can you take me to my new home?"
With the personnel's eyes widening, he was quickly taken to a tent, much bigger than those of the common soldiers.
Bowing, the solider spoke up, "Sir, this is the tent for Expert classes like yourself."
With his eyes glistening, he rambled, "This one's name is Aidan, and thank you for serving."
"Of course."
Entering the tent, he heard the steps of Aidan fade.
Apparently, the people giving orders were the people of this city themselves.
With no power to protect themselves and no money and resources to leave and start a new life, they dedicated themselves to aiding the army in any way possible.
Adam, who looked to be as young as a teenager, was also included.
Looking around the inside of the tent, which included a bed, a chair and desk, he felt that it wasn't terrible.
Sure, it couldn't be said to be great, however, having a bed itself was a luxury.
He was sure not many could enjoy this small gesture.
Nonetheless, he sat on the bed, not to sleep, however.
Sitting the lotus position once again, he absorbed the nearby particles.
Certainly, his mana heart was efficient, however, for even faster progress, he could do the same.
He was certain that there was Grandmaster mages in the enemy's army.
Perhaps, there was only one, like General Kenneth.
However, that one person, if that person killed General Kenneth, there was nothing to stop them.
If more than one appeared, unless he confirms the possibility of both sides having more than one, he'd instantly use the scroll.
Sure, he could fight against a Master class magus.
However, with his mana cultivation at Expert and his body refining cultivation at Novice, there was no way for him to beat a Grandmaster.
As the rank's increase in strength continue to rise, the less of an advantage he had.
However, he doubted that he would only have these two benefits.
After all, a sprout was already growing.
Aura.
With Aura, mana, and his naturally strong constitution, if he had a spell which was on the Grandmaster level and his enemy took it wholly, he might be able to win.
However, currently, he doubted it.
He still needed a bit more time to grow.
