Two blocked punches and another dislocated jaw later, there's only one orc left.
[Notice: you defeated Ragya, and gained some Exp.]
[Notice: you defeated Tükör, and gained some Exp.]
These names are hilarious. Since the System suggested non-lethal takedowns, I want to beat them again later to see the popups.
I still won't level up though. 'Some Exp' isn't very scientific. I'd love to know how much more I need, or how it would work, but there are more important matters.
The next opponent has a spear. The others either didn't have any weapons, or underestimated me, and decided not to use them.
He's a weird one. As masculine as the rest and yet for some reason, very feminine.
His stubbled jaw screams testosterone, but the eyelashes are longer than a Marathon. And, well, he wears a bra on those brutal pecks. The others only had their loincloths on.
Those green abs are killer, and their arms and thighs are thicker than my torso, damn.
[Notice: 5/10 Orc Scouts disabled.]
I swear the System is judging me. We'll talk when I'm not so busy knocking out these brutes. The subtle change in her tone is offensive, but I have to focus on what's ahead.
Those bodies aren't for the looks.
I'm also stronger than I should be but they can pack a punch too. So far I blocked them all, yet there's a difference between unarmed combat and using weapons.
That spear isn't a child's toy and no matter how strange the guy wielding it looks, he's a master of it. He handles it like it is an intimate part of his body.
"I would hate to scratch that silky skin of yours, My Lady, surrender now, and explain yourself."
So they can talk too? I mean, of course, they can. The strange part is that I understand it. No, rather, it's how affectionate he talks. He's as gay as Fifty Shades of Sunset.
It takes one to know one.
"I appreciate the offer but it seems like I'm winning."
It's the first time I drop an arrogant sentence like this, me, the quiet introvert, and he makes me pay for it.
Taken from Royal Road, this narrative should be reported if found on Amazon.
A lightning-fast jab with the spear bypasses my defenses and scores a glancing hit on my shoulder. It hurts, only like a paper cut on the fingertips, but it still counts.
[HP: 74/80]
It also did as much damage as a paper cut, but let's not underestimate this guy.
At least he didn't do it on my face. I don't know how I'd feel about this beauty becoming scarred. And what if he knocks off the Sentient Mask?
That spear is long and thick, and he moves his hand around it so fast, there is no way around it.
It's in my face as soon as I advance and I must back off before I choke on it.
He also can't poke me without my consent, now that I pay the attention to his shaft that it deserves, so we reach an impasse.
It's only temporary though, there are still four more orcs out there.
"Who is it, Hank? I haven't seen you struggle with an opponent this much before." One of them notes, stepping closer from the cover of a tree.
He glances at the others on the ground, but once he confirms they're alive, he only has eyes for me.
"It's Hana, I told you already." The one with the spear complains, but he's not distracted. The tip almost tears a new one in that one second I turn to see the new arrival.
"I asked the girl, not you, idiot." His voice is less affectionate but still not as rough as I expect from his species.
He is also different. He must be a shaman, wearing animal fur and robes. He is much smaller than the rest.
Whether the spearman's name is Hank or Hana, it doesn't fit in with the rest of the trend, so he's no fun to fight. He stalls long enough for the rest to catch up though.
They arrive from the back, and the new position makes me uncomfortable. I never tried it from behind, okay, I've never done it before either way.
One has another spear. The shaft is as scary as the one facing from the front. Even if the rest appear unarmed, this could be an ugly double penetration. I'm not ready for that.
The odd thing is that this one also wears a bra, is it mandatory when you have a spear? The hair is longer, albeit messy black.
There's no stubble visible in the dark and while the body is almost the same size as the rest, this has to be an actual woman. Hmm, no, my lesb-o-meter doesn't trigger from her.
"Let's make this quick. We can interrogate her later." Yep. It's a woman, even if she sounds more masculine than the other two. She's gruffing and groaning.
Still, it's a female sound and a commanding one at that.
"Gitaut, slow her down, Hana, you go from the front, I'll take her down from here. Ragasz and Rákász make sure she can't escape."
She spits orders, not worried that I can hear it. She's right, what can I do about it? They have two spears, and three more guys.
"Go."
They all move in unison, and even though I expected it to happen, there's no comeback to this. Knowing how well he can fight, the spear at the front is my priority.
Once I knock it to the side, a kick sends back one of the unarmed orcs, but that shaman casts a spell. I'm tired and slow, though my body keeps moving.
"Now!" The last dude throws himself on me but flies away from an uppercut, and I turn fast enough to face the woman's spear.
It doesn't do me favors, and she stabs straight at my face. My only saving grace is that the Sentient Mask takes the hit, flying off.
If this wasn't enough, as my looks transform, the shaft of Hana's spear knocks me in the back of the head. My vision starts to darken, and the System almost mocks me.
[Mission Failed. The Scouts of the Thirteenth Banner recognized you as their leader.]
So this is the en... Wait, what?!
Before I pass out, all the orcs throw themselves on the ground, their foreheads touching the grass.
"Welcome back, Your Grace."
