The Orcs cut short our info-dump session.
No, the truth is, I woke up in that itchy stack of straw again. I must have passed out at some point, and they carried me to the bed.
On a positive note, I woke up looking around in the now-familiar shack, which means I can see.
The bandages from my eyes are gone, and the itching subsides too for the most part. That is not to say the straw doesn't irritate my skin.
They laid down a blanket but it's still in my hair and fluffy tail. I hate it so much.
Well, my vision is the important part. It's still a little blurry, but there isn't much to see in the Vice Commander's place.
There's a lot more to think about instead. Now that I let all that info sink in, Alexandra's position is more difficult than I thought. Being a Goddess must be hard.
As they say, you have to suffer for that beauty.
I don't know about it, I never had this issue in my previous life. Or in the same one. In my old body and a different world.
It's still hard to say if it counts as dying and getting reincarnated when some beauty destroys your body.
And I still don't feel bad about losing it. If anything, it's a shame that she must recreate the same old thing to ensure my parents don't freak out.
I'd rather keep this one. Okay, not the tails and the ears, because people in my word would freak out from them, but the rest is perfect.
How long have I been here? Will she take me back today or tomorrow? Should I look forward to it? Back to the old, mundane life, and learning programming?
I don't know, I'm still too sleepy to think straight, and also itching too much. Damn, these straw beds or whatever they are.
[Notice: You can build a better one using your Crafting Skill.]
Oh, I almost forgot about the System. So you're here too. That reminds me, didn't I fight a powerful chick two days ago? The First Bride, who happens to be a Saint.
You gave me enough Exp to reach the second level after exploring the Old Capital, but nothing for the battle?
I even invented an original spell, and while it almost blinded me for good, it worked great on Ghisella. Oh, and according to Mabel, I sliced a gargoyle in half, isn't that worth the Exp?!
[Notice: Evaluation complete, for your recent actions, you gained some Exp.]
[Congratulations, you reached level 3!]
Ugh, what kind of a System are you? It's been two days, you know. Well, it's better late than never. At least she didn't outright refuse the idea. So did my attributes get better? Have I gained new skills?
Open the [Character Sheet]!
[Character Name: Leona] [Race, Class, Level: Beastfolk (Feline), Harem Warrior, Lvl 3]
[Str: 12] [Dex: 18] [Con: 16] [Int: 13] [Wis: 15] [Cha: 16] [HP: 80/80] [MP: 75/75]
[Skills: Crafting]
Wait, that's it? But the only change here is the level. The attributes, the HP, and everything are the same, this is disappointing.
The tale has been taken without authorization; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.
[Notice: At every fourth level, you'll gain a free attribute point you can use.]
[Your other stats come from the attributes, they will only change after you raise them.]
I can see that my MP got higher after she tweaked my intelligence and wisdom stats. But that happened ages ago and she didn't update those back then.
Of course, knowing how riddled with bugs this System is, she might've forgotten.
"It's not how it works in Hoards & Monsters," I mumble while getting out of bed. The HP and MP got extra points after each level, and you also had your skill points to distribute.
Alexandra's copy is very barebones in comparison. If I wanted to follow in her footsteps, how high a level do I need to reach to unlock her true potential?
One measly attribute every fourth level, and it's not like this stupid System is generous with Exp.
[Notice: There are other ways to gain attribute points too.]
Oh, now she sounds offended. Better not piss her off, because as much as I hate to admit it, my life depends on this pile of bugs.
"Okay, how about my new skills then? You didn't give me anything so far." That's as much as I'm willing to complain for now. Let's hope for something useful this time.
[Notice: You can select to upgrade Crafting into Advanced Crafting, or pick one of the two new skills. Farming, Mining.]
"You got to be kidding."
"I didn't even say anything yet, Your Grace." The voice almost gives me a heart attack and makes me spin around. It's Gitaut, the Battalion's Shaman.
He's one odd character. And he caught me arguing with the System. I forgot I don't have to talk to converse with her.
She can read my thoughts fine, but it's hard to keep in mind while she pisses me off. The same fucking three useless skills again. Could it be that Alex never added more?
But then what about magic? What about those sick moves she pulled off during the Auto Battle?
Give me those, damn it.
But before that, let's deal with Gitaut. He speaks with respect when others are around. Still, he's not taken aback by me, I can tell from his tone.
He must have a history with the Goddess, though I hope they weren't dating.
I have nothing against the Orcs. Seeing their overdosed masculinity and huge muscles the first time had quite an effect on me. But the Shaman is different.
If this world had emos, he would be their most typical example.
His dark hair falls in front of his face, he has some of the smallest tusks in the tribe, and those black robes are so edgy. He's about a head shorter than Charlotte too.
It wouldn't surprise me if he started playing My Alchemist Romance at any moment. It's not like I have anything against them.
As someone who was never interested in boys or girls until now, I learned that I have a very peculiar taste in both. It's not his fault that he doesn't fit either picture.
