Ten days until we meet again.
Wait, does it mean I'm going home, and in my body? Or we'll meet here?
No, we can't meet here, because she has no other shell to occupy.
I should have asked to clarify.
[Notice: At least you figured it out.]
The System is still cranky because I highlighted some bugs and weirdness.
Alexandra promised to take care of those once it was my turn to attend the university.
She'll have ten days to catch up, while I spend one at home. The time dilation still blows my mind.
It will be a whole month since I didn't see my family, but it will be three days for them.
They might not even worry about me yet, since Alex sent that e-mail to my sister explaining the situation.
It has many lies I cooked up on the spot, but it'll give me enough time.
And now, let's move on with the plan. I interrogated everyone, monster or human.
The Goddess filled me in with the remaining info and gave me some pointers on what to do next.
As a bonus, I reinforced the camp and armed the entire Battalion — or what's left.
So it's time to gather everyone in one place and hold a conference.
[Querry: Are you sure you can handle it?]
Of course not.
A gathering with all the Orcs, captives, and everyone, while I'm at the center? No way.
I'm not ready for this, but this is the next logical step.
Is there no Auto Extrovert function, like Auto Battle?
[Notice: If only I weren't a temperamental and bugged System, you had to complain about.]
Shit. I did this to myself.
But at least the tribe respects me now and believes I'm their Thirteenth Bride.
They will be in for a surprise when the real Alexandra takes over.
And how will they react when she makes a second copy of my body I could use in her world?
Will they still like me, or treat me with suspicion?
[Notice: You are still overthinking things, and didn't do anything.]
Right. Okay. Let's find Charlotte, and gather everyone in the new mess hall.
This one is much larger than the old, shabby building, though I only had wood to build it.
Of course, Masterful Crafting works as a Masterful Architect too. I don't have to worry about whether a building is workable or will collapse as soon as I step away from it.
It's the same as making spears. If I have the materials and think of a layout and general look, it will appear out of thin air and be a masterpiece. It's stupid, and an absolute cheat.
To the Orcs, it must look like I'm teleporting entire buildings here, which isn't too far from the truth. They come from that extra-dimensional pocket that Alexandra's body has.
But I assemble them too, or rather, the System does, thanks to her magic.
I don't have to look for the Battalion's officers.
They gather in the mess hall for a bountiful breakfast.
Did we talk through the entire night?
You might be reading a pirated copy. Look for the official release to support the author.
It wouldn't be the first all-nighter I pull here, and I'm not tired, so it should be fine.
Hana immediately puts the tastiest snacks at the end of the long table.
That's my place, and everyone stops to greet me.
I'm already nervous from all the attention, even though this has been the same for the whole week.
"Once you're done eating, gather our prisoners here, and I want my Officers to come too." It takes a few deep breaths until I can give them the order. "We'll hold a big conference."
"What will it be about?" Fenna asks, and I didn't even know the fox girl from the Beastfolk village was still here. It looks like she didn't want to leave her father's side.
Well, she can attend too.
These decisions will affect everyone in the area, and Alexandra will need some allies.
Okay, another deep breath.
"I decided on how to deal with the captives." The rest will have to wait until they're all here.
It happens faster than I can finish my breakfast, and the new and larger mess hall fills to the brim.
"All right, Princess. The First Bride, or as you call it, the Elder betrayed you all." Before I can finish, the blue-haired paladin starts to rage and my men have to stop her.
"How dare you sow such lies?! Is the Saint betraying us? Inconceivable." She seems well-taught, fed with the dogmas of that Saint Whatever, but the Court Wizard backs me up.
"It's the truth. Lady Ghisella sent us to our deaths because we threatened her rule." Lambert explains, so I don't have to. We talked this through during his interrogation.
He is the most cooperative, while he should be the biggest danger to me, thanks to the unique spell he knows.
And we arrived at the same conclusion about the First Bride.
"Princess Elizabeth is the heir to the throne she wants for herself. She had to go." He continues, despite the paladin's protest. "I could banish her, so she wanted me dead too."
"But why would she send me to protect you all, if she wants you dead?" Cath shakes her head.
"You are the strongest knight in Nordhaben." The Court Wizard spreads his arms. "You refused to join any order, including hers, so you're an unknown variable in her plans."
"That's right. I won't treat you as my enemy, and you can stay here, where I'll ensure your safety." This offer immediately ticks off the Goblin and the other remaining Champions.
"So you intend to fight the Demon Lord?" Dioneras asks, triggering nasty looks from my Orcs.
"Omega excommunicated me, so I have no reason to please him." I snap back, braver than I thought would be possible. "If he wants to negotiate with me, I'm open and friendly."
Saying friendly might be a stretch, but that's what Alex recommended.
"I won't send this poor girl to him without an explanation. The rest of you can return to him, or stay too." This stirs up quite a noise. My orcs didn't expect this either.
