"Hey, you all right?" The same guy offered him another tissue. It was the fifth time. Alexandra couldn't take it any longer.
"Sure, it must be the air conditioner." She shook her head embarrassed.
"Do you want to trade places? Your eyes are all red." He kept insisting. If it were in her world, she would've turned him into cinders at this point.
And it wasn't because he was pushing so hard but out of her frustration.
"I'm fine, thank you. Class is almost over." And with that, she buried her face into her notes.
After a third wave of headaches, her eyes started to itch, and her vision blurred.
This paired with the sneezing made it look like she had severe allergies.
Except her body was a homunculus, a mere copy of a human that she shaped to her likeliness. And to her knowledge, this wasn't even allergy season.
"What the hell is she doing over there?" She cursed under her nose.
It was impossible to concentrate on the lectures, and Leona was right.
Most of it was introductory stuff, she didn't learn anything new.
She should have stayed until she figured out how to make a new body and bring that girl back. Anything would have done it, even a temporary one.
What were the odds that the Inquisition found her until then? And even if they did, what could they do against her? She left the world as a literal deity.
As long as the First Bride wasn't involved, she was unbeatable.
She never failed a magic spell. Well, except that homunculus. It was the first time she couldn't get it right.
"Why did I fail anyway? Was it the limitations of that golem?" She tried to whisper between two sneezes, but half the auditorium always looked at her.
Why did she make this body resemble her own?
It's impossible to lay low looking like this.
Even though she dropped the tail and the ears to make it look more human, people kept starting.
What if she handed over this body to Leona? That could work, right?
She'd return, send her back into this body, take over her own, and make a new one she could use when she's in this world. A simpler one. Easy as that.
Who wouldn't want to look like this? She already had a taste of being in her body.
Well, that was the problem, how much time must have passed over there? What did she do that affected her soul this much?
"And what if she refuses the swap?" Then it would take another day to figure something out.
That's ten over there. And if she has to go through the same shit again, she's going to lose it.
No, her best bet was to meet up with her sister and ask for something she could work with. Even if she can't talk to her, they're sisters so they must look alike.
"Yeah, I could study that girl." She was good at taking mental notes. Copy her in a way that looks the right age for Leona, and call it a day. Who would even notice?
It's not like she's a celebrity here. And to her parents, well, she could... No. While Alex never had parents, it was dumb to think Leona's relatives wouldn't notice the change.

She encountered some of the girl's memories thanks to the swap. She knew they were close. She even knew her sister's name. Emi.
They were to meet after school on the campus, that's the perfect opportunity to take a look.
It was strange that Leona didn't have memories of herself. She didn't like to look in the mirror, take selfies, or spend a day shopping.
Most of the memories she saw were about friends and family, usually the same few faces over and over. And they weren't even that special.
It was nothing more than talking, watching TV, sitting on a bench in the park, or playing games together. Her life was so simple and boring compared to hers.
She almost felt pity for her. But then she remembered the strange aura that caught her attention when they ran into each other.
What was that about? She had an obvious aptitude for magic, in a world that didn't even have Mana.
Something was off about that girl, something excited her more than the Demon Lord ever could. And Omega was the most powerful being alive on the Continent.
He wasn't even ugly. Those horns looked great on him, though it was a shame he was so huge. Being tall was one thing, being twelve feet tall was too much.
"Class dismissed." This was her cue. She checked her eyes before leaving, they were still red but got much less itchy.
"Okay, let's take a look at that girl." She decided and rushed out before her newfound fans could surround her.
She didn't even think about what would happen when the girl couldn't find her sister. That's a hurdle she will jump when she gets there.
"It's a girl with hair like copper and a freckled face." She mumbled, looking at the crowd where the siblings agreed to meet. The memories she saw weren't too sharp.
It wasn't like watching a movie. It was more like feeling some impressions, hence she needed to see the real thing. For now, she was out of luck.
Plenty of blondes, brunettes, and dark-haired girls chattered by the entrance. Not a single ginger. She did spot a man who seemed familiar though.
She didn't know why, he never appeared in Leona's memories, but she must've seen him earlier today. He waited for someone in the same spot the siblings agreed to catch up.
Alexandra considered walking up to him. She could figure it out on the go, but someone bumped into her from behind. She almost fell over without her tail to balance her body.
She still dropped her notes, and helpful — and desperate — students rushed to help her.
She couldn't see who smashed into her, only forced on a smile while looking down to hide her reddened eyes.
"Ah, sorry, I was looking for my sister everywhere, and didn't see you." The culprit said, and when she looked up, no, down, she saw a petite girl with a freckled face.
She had a mischievous grin and a hair that looked like fire. Orange, chaotic, and ungovernable.
Bingo.
