The System teleports me right in front of the Court Wizard.
At least I assume he is because he wears robes, and looks like a nerd. He's not alone though.
The Princess said he deserted, and the Goblin confirmed it too. So why is he with the blue devil, who should be dead? And what did the Champions say about their lost comrade?
An Ogre? Bigger and greener even than the Orcs? Well, that checks out too.
What an unexpected gathering. The fourth creature is a huge yellow bird.
Nobody mentioned that one, but they don't seem on friendly terms because all three run to evade that beast. It's not as large as the wyverns were, but similar in size to the gargoyles.
And as it screams, lightning strikes at the Ogre from the sunny sky.
It's early afternoon, and still hot, dry weather, so what the hell is going on?
[Notice: That creature is a thunderbird, and it is hunting.]
Do you have any more surprises? Wait. I turned Auto Battle on. Why aren't you moving?
[Clarification: I only accounted for the wizard, I'm recalculating.]
It's a good thing they didn't notice me. They run for their lives and the bird is too busy chasing them.
Still, it's an interesting dilemma. What should I do in this situation?
The wizard is a threat. He could harm Alex even if he doesn't seem too scary now.
The blue-haired girl, while she looks tiny, her sword is enormous.
If I can believe what the Goblin said, she's mental. And then we have an actual monster, a huge Ogre. Okay, if he serves the Demon Lord, he's a good guy.
But aren't they at odds with each other? And they all run from the same beast, so what now?
I should save the Ogre, but then I'd also save that nerd and the Sword Sister.
And can I beat that bird in the first place?
[Notie: Thunderbirds use lightning magic to strike from a distance. This is why the paladin and the Ogre are at a disadvantage. The wizard should be able to defeat it, but he is running.]
I can see that. But if you say a magician can beat it, so can I. Or you rather.
[Querry: Do you want me to enable Auto Battle and kill the bird?]
You teleported me here without any weapons again, so yes, that would be lovely.
And if you put on a nice show, they would think twice before attacking me.
That's all the System needs and she teleports into the sky.
Firing a spell at the bird would have been simpler, but she puts on a show.
With a single kick, the beast gets blown out of the sky.
It lands with a thud, cracking trees in its wake. This is not a 12 STR for sure.
Alexandra's true capabilities are crazy. Well, according to her memories, she started as a warrior.
What surprises me is that the bird is still alive.

It screeches again, getting up from the crater she made, and lightning strikes a tree two yards away.
It didn't miss.
The System casts a counter-spell in the split second the thunderbird attacked.
Which attribute do I have to raise to follow the events fast enough? She's too fast to comprehend.
The beast can't take off anymore, the kick clipped its wings.
The three stop running after that thud too, and look up to see me float.
So the Goddess can hover too, or is this non-stop teleportation into the same place?
The System focuses on the fight so she won't answer.
I'm teleported atop the monster again.
It can't take to the sky but can still claw or bite. Except the System reacts faster than it should be possible.
Every limb or beak this monster tries to use against me is in pieces within ten seconds.
It's brutal.
I asked for a show, but this might be too much. The neck snaps and the fight is over.
It already lasted about thirty seconds longer than it had to.
And I can see the result on the other's faces.
Their feet won't move, rooted to the ground, as they wait for my next move.
To make sure there won't be any, cancel Auto Battle.
"Who are you?" The blue devil speaks first, and her voice has no trace of fear in it.
Before I can answer, the wizard regains his ability to speak too.
"Idiot, it's the Thirteenth Bride. The one you said you'd fight. Now you understand why that's impossible."
Oh? So rather than trying to Banish me on the spot, he tries to convince the girl to stand down?
That works for me but has the opposite effect on the paladin.
Once she hears the name, she plunges forward with that enormous sword.
I only have time to re-enable Auto Battle. But don't kill anyone, non-lethal takedown only.
For some reason, the System doesn't move an inch.
The girl attacks and the sword comes down at speeds its weight shouldn't make possible.
And it's aimed at my neck.
It never reaches it though. The blade connects with my fingertips and I couldn't even follow when they reach out to catch it.
It seems like a terrible idea to block a falchion that size with bare hands, but the System proves my sense wrong. The blade shatters into a million pieces, and then the pieces disappear.
They end up in my inventory, and that blade is almost eight pounds. Holy shit.
No. It was. It is no longer, and the momentum keeps the paladin coming my way.
Then the System grabs her by her waist, flips her around mid-air, and plants her into the ground.
Another quick victory that takes longer for me to comprehend than how long it lasts.
The other two look shocked, but at least they won't move. Not even the Ogre wants to try me.
And like a real hero, the wizard passes out on the spot.
