It's Time To Go Home

Alexandra's conscience wouldn't leave her alone.

She couldn't concentrate on her studies at all.

And since her justification to return was to attend school, it made her feel even worse.

It's not like learning programming was that exciting. Not on the second day anyway.

The only interesting thing was that the boys became more direct with their methods.

They wanted to hook up with her, and she still couldn't incinerate them at her leisure.

No, she already made enough mistakes, let's not make it worse.

Was it wrong to take a nap in the other world?

Of course, it was. It took two hours to prepare the golem for Leona, and in the meantime, she had to sort out the mess Alex made.

She needed another six hours to turn it into a proper homunculus and shape the rest to that girl's image.

But the latter part had to wait until she brought her something to work with.

Thus, she thought she could take a short nap first, exhausted after the long day in school.

Then it became an eight-hour beauty-sleep in the middle of the day.

Those dumb Orcs didn't wake her up, and she only came to her senses when she had to teleport Leona back. That girl made a very comfortable bed and she had no idea how.

"I'm quite the Goddess, aren't I?" Alexandra mumbled, waiting for the signal to end the day's last class. "It's fine, I can sort that thing out today, once I'm back."

At least she didn't have to sleep anymore. Time dilation had its positives, she could teleport home only to rest every day, or to learn. The possibilities were endless.

But would it work? She fled that world because of the First Bride and the Inquisition.

If they were still after her, Goddess or not, she would have to always look behind her back.

The Demon Lord must have been quite upset with her failure too. And she didn't want to give herself to him, no matter how powerful or handsome he was.

It's too bad she couldn't call it a political marriage, but she didn't love the man.

She didn't hate him either, Omega wasn't that terrible.

He had good ideals, but the execution was strange. He acted like he was the lesser evil that was to make the world a better place.

Anyway. Leona survived her first week without issues. It's not like she had the chance to ask about her experiences, but the System must have taken good care of her.

Let's hope she managed her second week fine too. She found the Thirteenth Battalion, even though she shouldn't know about them. She somehow managed things better than she expected.

That girl was quite something, that aura she first saw around her wasn't for show.

And now she saw something else, something embarrassing.

The girl was right, she wasn't a world-renowned beauty.

Unless someone looked at her crotch, they couldn't tell for certain if it was a boy or a girl.

Stolen from its rightful author, this tale is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings.

And still, she couldn't help but check on those pictures.

Leona's chest was flatter than the average male's that age.

She wasn't muscular her arms and legs long with narrow hips.

Her hair was the most unassuming brunette and she couldn't figure out what to do with it.

It was a bit wavy and messy, and she wore it a chin-length bob.

There was no part of her that she could call beautiful or perfect, yet she used all her free time to study those photos.

"I need it to recreate her body as best as possible." Alexandra justified herself, but it was only part of the truth.

She found herself fascinated with Leona, and couldn't wait to teleport back to her.

"What is wrong with me?"

When the time came and the last class ended, she checked her notes, and the images one last time.

Then she locked herself into the toilet on the quietest floor.

This was to ensure nobody found her unconscious body while her soul returned to her world.

She lucked out yesterday to escape that apartment with her bounty in time.

But she deserved that. Now she had to return inside that golem she left there half-finished last time.

Once she turned it into a proper homunculus that could take Leona home they could both return.

The teleportation spell turned everything white around her, and she felt the pull.

It led her soul to the beacon she left in that golem, but the transfer between the dimensions took a while.

Not in time — there was no time between the worlds.

It was a strange, unreal feeling, but she got used to it by now.

She used it to meditate, gather her thoughts, and make plans once she was back.

She left Leona in the Orc camp so nothing bad could have happened to her.

Still, she didn't recognize the place when the lights faded around her.

She left the golem by that comfortable bed in Charlotte's shack.

Now she found herself in a luxurious but small room with glass windows overlooking the place.

The village had palaside walls running around it in a big circle and the shabby huts disappeared.

Neat wooden logs replaced them, some of them had two or even three floors.

The room she was in must have been even higher, on top of a small tower.

She soon found the trap door with the spiral staircase down. It was the middle of the day, so the room was empty.

"Did the time dilation get worse? This place looks like years have passed since my last visit." She mumbled, but it wasn't a bad change.

"Okay. If she did this much for my Banner, the least I can do is to recreate her body while I still remember it."

The last time was easier, she used her original body to shape this one. Now she had to do it from the inside out, but she gave the shell everything she needed for the fine manipulation.

"Her arms were much longer." She noticed first and initiated a spell. "Let's go."
