The pieces of the puzzle are nice and snug together now.
After another round of interrogations, I can see the bigger picture.
When Alex brought me to this world, the Seal that held the Demon Lord and his men in a dungeon broke.
Who broke it? Or rather, why did it break? That's one hole in the puzzle, but it's not important.
The Inquisition, or to be exact, Elizabeth detected the Goddess casting magic.
She reported it to the First Bride, who they call Elder or Saint Ghisella, and came to banish me with two other humans.
That plan somehow leaked to the Demon Lord, who didn't even know I — or Alexandra — was back. He only knew that the Seal broke, and the Princess left Sanctuary.
Now, why he needs her blood is another hole, but whatever the reason, he sent his best men to capture her. And they failed. Hard.
Turns out, Dioneras, — the Twelve Champion's brain — didn't trust Omerta. He expected an easy victory against the three humans, riding those massive wyverns.
But he was in for a nasty surprise. Elizabeth's bodyguard, who she calls Cath, — short for Catherine — was a monster in a human body. The Goblin only referred to her as the blue devil.
She cut down three wyverns alone and chased the Champions who got away with the Princess.
They fought in a mountain pass, and she fell to her death with one of their warriors.
And the famous Court Wizard they sent to Banish me?
Well, he ran away at the first sight of the enemy, so I'm less worried now.
Of course, the story is more complicated.
While the First Hag sent these three to fight me, she showed up too.
That turned into a disaster for the Champions and her, costing me my eyesight for a few days.
This tells me she didn't expect her men — or women rather — to succeed.
She also knew about the Demon Lord's plan, but she didn't come to stop it.
In my infinite wisdom — okay, it's only 16, but that's still above average — I realized, she wanted them dead. No, not the Demon Lord, or the Champions.
Her servants. As for the motivation, I came up with many theories.
The most likely is that she wanted to get rid of the concurrence.
She is the First Bride, the Elder of the Church, and a Saint.
But she doesn't rule Nordhaben, the country she 'liberated', or 'saved from chaos.'
It's ruled by some duke guy from her dynasty — which is weird because it's a kingdom, not a Dutchy. And guess who's the heir of that duke?
Princess Elizabeth. Why her, when she's the youngest daughter?
Well, the duke couldn't keep his dick to himself and his wife. All the other offspring are bastards.
It seems like this world is also full of assholes. Anyway. To ascend to the throne, Ghisella would have to get rid of Elizabeth first, and then the duke.
She sent her away at the first opportunity, joined by a coward, and the blue devil, who must've meant trouble to her too.

The details still need some time to work out.
What she didn't expect was that the Princess was right. Alexandra returned. Even if I couldn't match her strength, the Auto Battle function and Omerta's help were enough.
When the First Bride came to ensure the heir and the enemy Champions were all taken out, she met me instead.
And considering how much she monologues, she must be the main villain of this story.
[Notice: You've been monologuing in your head for five minutes. What does that make you?]
No, no, System. I'm isekai Shamrock Homeless, you wouldn't understand. This is my deduction monologue, I'm a detective, not a villain. And it all makes sense now.
As much as I hate to admit it, the Demon Lord might be the more decent. Still, I don't want to give him the Princess, because she's a victim here too.
While she's a tsundere brat, she has time to grow out of it. She's only fourteen and was already betrayed and kidnapped within a week.
If the First Bride is the main villain, she must've survived my laser and will be out to get her.
And me, of course. The Demon Lord wants her blood too, but he's still in that dungeon.
Even though the Seal broke, he sent his Champions instead, not even his Brides and Banners. That means he's weak. What if the Saint sealed his powers off too?
[Querry: What makes you think that?]
It's easy. When Alexandra failed with the teleportation Gates, Ghisella rebelled. She didn't do it because the armies took longer to travel. She attacked the Old Capitol right away.
This means she knew the Demon Lord was already weak. It must be because she did something to him. It could be a curse or another Seal. And I saw her use necromancy too.
If it's some weird blood magic, Omega would need her blood to break it. Or someone related to her, like the Princess. And there you have it, that's why he wants her blood.
[Evaluation: This makes more sense than I'd like to admit. +1 WIS]
Wow, this must be the best compliment from the System since I've been here. I'm quite proud I came up with this theory too. The only thing left is to figure out what's next.
The enemy is the Saint Hag. While Omega excommunicated Alexandra, it was a misunderstanding. As much as I hate the idea, letting his men go could help with reconciliation.
I'm not handing over Elizabeth though. I'll keep her safe here, and if the Demon Lord wants her, he has to come here in person and play nice.
[Notice: You took my advice of asserting dominance to heart.]
Well, I'm doing what feels right. It would be nice to hear what the Thirteenth Bride thinks about this, but she won't return for a while.
[Querry: And what about the wizard who can banish you?]
What about him? He deserted, it shouldn't matter.
[Notice: He is heading this way on foot, by the water reservoir.]
What? No way. And how do you even know that?!
[Magic. Do you want to enable Auto Battle?]
