Treaty.

A road leading to an enclosed facility full of industrialized buildings long used was now tranquil, despite its perhaps once bustling quarters. The brick and stone structures down the road leading to the complex were riddled with bullet holes and streaked lines breaking in the concrete road.

A long puddle at the side of a blood-smeared bakery mirrored Miya accompanied by four individuals walking down the avenue.

Loliel stops near the broad metal gates, looking up at the two white sentry towers above her. After a few moments, the two gates start to spread apart allowing them to continue walking.

Adelae, walking a few feet farther behind the group leans over toward Maxim with a hand over her mouth.

“Are we really just letting this stranger walk in with us?” Adelae whispers while eying Miya from behind.

“I’m just going with the flow, mate. But Captain has never been wrong before, so she must know what she’s doing.” Maxim advises.

They continue down the dust road filled with large cement blocks and military vehicles turned on their sides. Miya’s eyes continue to survey the large glass panes of the surrounding industrial buildings around them with caution.

Miya then returns her gaze forward, locking eyes with the female cyborg from before now walking backward. Her black-screened face was now filled with two blinking eyes with cheery cheeks and a small smile.

“What? You got something to say?” Miya snapped.

The cyborg nodded its head. “You just seem, tense is all. Your vital signs read normal, so you’re good at hiding it, but you’re quite distressed.”

Miya’s lips curl into a snarl as she turns the other way.

Kyamyo’s screen emotes a pink exclamation mark. “I-I didn’t mean it in a disapproving way, I was just trying to say that—“

“I don’t really care. Could you please stop talking to me?”

Adelae glares at Miya from behind. “Don’t talk to her like that you little twerp!”

Miya stops walking, her eyes giving off a red glare while she continues to look forward. “What did you just call me?”

Kyamyo runs in front of Adelae and nods her head. “… N-no! It’s my fault! I’m not really good at… Making conversation with others… I’m sorry…”

Miya rolls her eyes and continues her advance.

Adelae balls her fists at her side with a short nod. “She really pisses me off, who does she think she is?”

Kyamyo shrugs her shoulders and turns around. “It’ll be alright. I would be a bit distrusting too if my first meeting with strangers was at gunpoint.”

“I don’t see nothing wrong with er’. All that fire means she can heat up our opps back down under.” Maxim comments while scratching the back of his hair.

Loliel at the front of the group stops in front of a large heretic bunker door dipping into the ground on a metal ramp. She walks down and places her hand on a circle in the middle of the airlock, creating an array of white lights that spread across the rusted gateway.

After several locking mechanisms turn and loosen themselves, the door shoots down, revealing a narrow enclosure with only a downward shaft being covered by a metal-chained hoisted elevator.

Loliel walks inside of the poorly lit room and rests her back in the caged elevator, looking toward Miya still standing at the entrance.

“You’re coming? Or would you rather me bring a red rug and chariot up to get you?”

Miya sniffs and walks forward, crunching glass beneath her feet as she steps inside the cage. Adelae, Maxim, and Kyamyo load in as well, and with a sudden jolt the cage closes itself off and starts lowering itself.

Their eyes reflect the passing red lamps as they continue their downward plunge. After a few minutes, and another sudden jolt, the elevator stops and pulls forward, stopping at a large blue-metal door with ‘S87’ spray painted in black and white.

The blue emergency lights start flickering as the door cracks open, revealing a massive alloy-covered expanse with multiple blue light fixtures illuminating the underground safe house. The terminal had several energized doors leading to multiple areas of the base, whilst to the left and right were open-windowed areas full of mechanized robots burning away metal and configuring different parts.

“Aliight, I’m out like a light. See you guys in seven or eight hours, tops.” Maxim waves while covering a boorish yawn from his mouth.

Adelae scratches her head and gives Miya another glare before following after him toward a sliding door with several symbols above the door, translating to ‘Quarters.’

Kyamyo looks down at Koko starting to wake up with dreary eyes and jolts. She then runs up to the leftmost windowed-off facility with a set of symbols translating to ‘Medical Bay.’

Miya watches as the door slides down after the cyborg and looks at Loliel waiting for her at the larger hatch near the lower platform of the base. She walks down the stairs and joins her, walking through the opening hatch and making their way down a set of rooms.

Miya gazes at the passing windows with plant exhibits and gun racks etched into the walls. “Mind telling me where we’re going?”

Loliel continues to walk down the corridor, the metal clamps on the bottom of her shoes being her only answer. They then stop at a velvet-metal-plated door, Loliel places a hand on a sensor at the side and the hatch shoots open.

The room was fully white and sparse with several red lines radiating a silver glow. The only extreme feature was a bare red table with multiple white holo-screens brimming above and below the counter.

Loliel pats the table with her hand and walks to the front of the terminal and inputs a set of keys on the screen. “I just need to do a diagnostics scan of your inner organs. Make sure you’re not hiding any other weapons than the one on your hip.”

Miya walks over to the table and hops up, laying her back flat on the surface as a set of white spheres and circular lines trace around her body.

“You had questions if I recall,” Loliel states, still pressing keys on the dashboard. "Now's the time to ask them."
