She then leads Miya up the white spiraling stairwell to the second floor. Despite the openness of the first, it was quite narrow having three corridors spanning in different directions. They take a right and walk past two silver doors until stopping at an entryway with red platting, the middle was a bright blue glowing sphere.
Riree places her hand on the sphere causing the door to shoot open. The room was an empty white space with neon black lines swirling across the walls and floor. A rectangular door then slid open from the middle of the room, with a circular sphere-like capsule lifting itself with a soft whir of inner mechanisms.
Unlike a med-pod, this machine was fully enclosed with blue glass and had two pumps on its side full of swirling purple and blue thick liquids. A holographic map blinks on the side of the capsule as its glass covering opens vertically on its axis.
Miya walks over to a hovering white table at the side of the room and unfastens her holster and sets it down. She then unzips her black hoodie and other clothing garments folding them neatly in a pile while walking over to the pod.
Riree puts her arm in front of her bosom with a short bow. “Since you’re all settled, I’ll be off. I’ll have Darfin call for you when the assembly has commenced.”
She then exits through the door, it sliding down shut on her leave.
Miya looks at her reflection in the empty glass of the pod. Her body was quite well-defined for her age, her abdomen sporting a six-pack while her arms and legs were robust. She looks down at the black barcode on her ankle with a set of foreign-imprinted lettering.
“That woman I fought before, she had the same branding on her body. If I find out where she’s hiding, I’ll finally get some answers.” Miya murmurs.
She then inputs a set of buttons on the holo-keypad and sits with her back against the white cushion of the pod. The glass covering then descends onto her, closing shut with a puff of smoke. The purple fluid in the chamber on the machine’s side then bubbles before spewing into her chamber, filling it to the brim as she takes a deep breath.
Her entire body feels wet and damp, then in an instant, it turns freezing then boiling. Her eyes wiggle beneath her lids as she takes a deep breath, inhaling some of the liquid with a gasp causing bubbles to erupt from her lungs.
“—Ah, I knew I got the right person for the job. Look at you go.”
Miya opens her eyes, her environment changes to an enclosed space with a pink sofa circling around a black table with a flickering lamp having a white flame. She looks down at her body, once nude, now covered by a white-mesh latex suit.
Stolen from its rightful place, this narrative is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings.
She stands up, slamming her fist onto her chest as a sort of salute. “Coordinant ma’am! I’ve come to give an update to my recent findings on Planet 4056-E as requested!”
Emelia sat in front of her on the other side of the table. Her skin was a light pink while her long icy-blonde hair was wrapped in two rings on both sides of her face, still enough to make a wavey ponytail that shot upwards with rose-shading.
Her white spacesuit grooved with pink glowing outlines was tight-fitting curving around her hourglass figure with the middle zipped just enough for her imposing cleavage to make just about anyone gawk.
Emelia crosses her legs onto her knee with a grin. “So, let’s hear it. How it’s going? Got there safely, I assume. I heard you made an enthralling exit at Terminal 1. Some people aren’t happy you killed two Lieutens and a Maj-Gen.”
Miya clicks her heels together with another pound of her chest. “It was a mere accident, nothing personal! Ma’am!”
“Yeah, yeah, sure it wasn't. However, with my people skills and a little ball-fondling, I made it all go away. If you killed them it must’ve been for a good reason. Or maybe it wasn’t, I don’t care. Though you work for me now, so let’s just make sure that you keep that temper of yours in check. You can fuck up the people I tell you to apprehend or kill. But no one who’s a part of the Federation. Understood?”
Miya’s eye twitches with an irritated glare, she then sighs and lowers her hand. “Yes ma’am… Can I give my report now? I forgot how much of a burden it is to talk to you.”
“And I forgot how immediate your respect for authority changes. But please, go on, I like a bit of gossip.”
Miya sits back on the couch and crosses her arms. “4056-E is as confirmed in the pictures, a wasteland deprived of all life, except for a few humans who’ve adjusted to their new living situation by living in an underground bunker.”
Emelia’s eyes widen with interest. “Oh? A few you say? Did you have to kill them too?”
“No, they were the only point of information in the given area so I decided they were better alive than to resort to confrontation. Upon landing here I was engaged with a mutant-beast with hard white-scaled skin and red eyes, their strength and speed were impeccable, to say the least.”
Emelia puts a hand up to her chin with a thoughtful glance. “Hm, I see. Did you find their origin or who made them?”
“Yes and no. I was attacked by a Ya’valtian woman by the name of Kensa who was also quite formidable. Her most impressive trait was her rapid organ-regenerative abilities. She led me down to the Ya’valtian subterranean crater resting below an artificial aqueduct. There I met Dr. Nichopham, Mensa, owner of Eidolon Prospects Gtd. and his wife and son.”
“So it does exist there. How interesting… But what do the mutated beasts have to do with them? Are they the ones manufacturing them?” Emelia inquires.
Miya nods her head. “Not at all. The couple spoke up about them apparently sending the mutants up under an inviolable deal made with Stravos. One of the humans had a contact on the inside, and I’m now in the Eidolon couple’s residence located in the Stravos headquarters. I plan to meet with this person, or get some leads while I’m here. Whichever comes easier.”
Emelia closes her eyes with a short breath. “Alright. It seems you have everything under control there. Is your XMS handgun giving you any trouble?”
“Negative. It’s allowing me to synthesize any firearm I think of in a matter of seconds.” Miya responds.
“Ah, that’s good. I know it’s a prototype, but it’s still quite magnificent. Blonrohr is working on a saber version along with a new rendition of your pistol when you visit A1 after your work there is done. We also have your official Patroller uniform and coat that’s both stylish and protective of bullets that are Quantum-12 caliber or higher!”
“That’s… That’s nice, thank you…” Miya looks down while twiddling her thumbs. “There’s one more thing I need to address.”
