"… Hey, wake up. We're here."
"Nngh…" Loliel's pupils shift beneath her eyelids; Her eyes then crack into slits, a blinding white light consuming her vision.
She looks over to Miya, sitting in the co-pilot's chair. Multiple holograms flash beneath her eyes as she monitors throttle speed, velocity, and pitch on different support screens.
Miya locks eyes with her, then nods to her front.
Loliel looks past the forward-crew bay. Her eyes sparkle as they grow wider in awe.
To her left was a massive, brilliant star about 147 million kilometers away. Its light-orange pigment showed that it was only a few million years old - Quite young in terms of star life.
Below them sat a sizeable terrestrial-desert planet. Being only a few thousand kilometers away, they could witness its multi-colored terrain with different shades of yellow. Its oat and granola-colored grooves were complimented by its high mountains' dandelion and banana tones. Rocky-shaped clouds covered the skies. Their sunrise orange pigment gave an atmosphere of a never-ending horizon.
"… Patroller Miya, Provision Code 104-562… Hailing for land space on Aestero Pol, Gala Fol section."
Loliel looks to her side. A large screen blinks in front of Miya then an individual with dark-blue skin and yellow eyes wearing a white-militant uniform with blue edges offers a bright smile.
"Welcome, Patroller Miya, to Aestero Pol. Please proceed to Private Gala Landing Bay 12. Would you like to me make Coordinant Emelia aware of your arrival?"
Miya nods her head. "Yes, you may. I also have some civilians who need to be registered in the Federation's systems and given a place to stay while on transition. Do you think you can do that for me?"
"Of course, we'll have a few of our Seco-droids meet you upon your landing. You're clear for landing, auto-transport will be engaged. Thank you."
The hologram then blinks off the screen.
Miya sighs and unstraps herself from the co-pilot's chair as a red message hovers over the throttle screen, saying, 'Autopilot Override Detected: Arriving at Aestero Pol.'
The ship then leans itself up with a soft mechanical hum, a bright, magnificent white light glaring through the craft's front bay windows. With the spaceport's sharp-tipped edge now coming into view, the ship continues to incline, allowing the tip to become broader while sizing up several meters. Its pin-needle-type shape was surrounded by three white and gray metal hoops that orbited around the port. At the same time, ships and other transit cargo whizzed to and from the multiple landing entrances.
Stolen novel; please report.
Their ship plunges through the airspace. The closer they got, the more apparent this port was vast and monumental in size. They passed cargo ships carrying glistening white ores on their backs and sides, gliding down to another bay. Bounty truckers, long-silver crafts with narrow slits for windows, awaited to be allowed in a holding bay on the second hoop down.
A shadow looms over their heads as they pass below the biggest middle hoop, then stray to the tip of the port with a long and wide white landing bay with sentry turrets with red-laser beams surveying the abysmal black skies with intent. The ship then descends onto the metal-plated bay, with a soft hum and vibration felt underneath their feet as the landing feet sprung from beneath the vessel.
The ironclad lowers itself onto the pad with a reaffirming thump. The platform it stood on rumbles, then declines down onto a steep vertical path. After a few moments, the trail stops. They reappear in an open cargo bay with multiple landing agents and technicians in black suits running across the field as the ship slides onto the black cement pad.
One of the landing agents, with his face shrouded beneath a black cap reading 'Aestero Pol,' gives them a three-fingered thumbs-up before moving to the side.
Miya jumps from her seat, stretching out her arms with another yawn. "Ok, let's get out of this thing. I've got much to do."
Loliel takes her lead as they walk back to the elevator, pressing the blue panel causing the door to close as they plummet down. The elevator then stops, and they're let out to the second floor, a long white hallway with multiple entrances. They continue down the corridor until they finally reach the main-holding area.
Koko sat on the circular couch in the middle of the room, looking up at Miya and Loliel as they made their way down the stairs.
"Good morning Koko. How did you sleep?" Loliel asks with a smile.
"Fine, good… But… Where are we? I heard a bunch of weird noises from under the ship."
Loliel rubs the back of her neck. "We warped to an entirely new star system named Qunova. And, well, we're under a planet named Loneburto Pica if I'm not mistaken…."
"… I see," Koko murmurs, watching as Miya walks past her and climbs up the metal stairs on the other side of the room.
"But don't get to alarmed when I tell you this, but, we're currently on Aestero Pol."
"What's Aestero Pol?"
“It’s um… The Galactic Federation’s headquarters….”
Koko nods her head in disbelief before leaping from over the couch. "W-what? What do you mean we're at their headquarters? We basically just escaped them from them living under us. Now you want them to trap us at their base of operations!"
Miya sighs and turns around at the top of the stairs. "Goddess, you sound like an idiot. Aestero Pol isn't just home to the Federation, but many other divisions that work under A1. I assure you that Ya'valtians are not the only species who live and operate at this station."
Loliel nods her head. "It is true, to some degree I think. I could understand the landing operator's words, meaning he was speaking English."
"Well, yeah. After the Humanic Relations pact signed between humans and Ya'valt for trade, English became the galaxy-wide language used for diplomatic relations and treaties due to its simplicity." Miya adds.
She then presses the hatch door, causing the elevator to ascend with a mechanical hum.
"Oh, and could you wake up those other passengers that you acquired for me? Thanks. Don't keep me waiting though, or I could get bored and leave."
