The young Aerlanian bano'n looked to the side. Her hands’ segments swirling with a multitude of colors like a rainbow beckoned forward with a curl of her fingers.
Miya sighed under her breath and walked over to her side.
Hovering over several others, the ship looked down on a large coliseum-like stage with several surrounding rings full of raging fans. In the center of a glowing white stage was a young Asailles bano'n seemingly humming a tune that caused the stage to ripple out a vibrancy of colors throughout the crowd and into the darkness of the night. The radiance of calm cherry reds, tidal tangerine oranges, and lively lime greens. Though they were just sensory, each hum produced an almost electrifying pulse of energy as soon as it produced its specified color.
“It’s wonderful, isn’t it. Like the soothing vanuule right after it’s birthed.” The sesnir praised, swaying her head from side to side with a soft hum.
Miya felt the vibrations through her body as each colorful burst resonated from the young bano'n into the air. The polka-dotted patterns of colors emitting from the stage were also soothing to the eyes, almost a different language being intertwined with vivid noise.
“If I’m to be honest, I don’t like it.” Miya murmured, then looked to the side.
The sesnir’s long-lashed eyes widened as she turned to Miya. She then shook her head and placed her hands in her lap.
“Are you aware that our race is born with loss of sight?”
Miya shook her head.
“Well it’s true.” The sesnir then stroked her antennae with a sideward, seemingly desolate, glance. “We were blessed by the Mavi’olan with these gifts, our sensors are able to detect the world but only through coloration. Though many envy our homeworld’s vegetation and structures… We need them to survive ever since we are born… Imagine being birthed, just to see faint and dull mukalisks then an epiphany of stripes and splashes strikes your eyes.”
The sesnir eased forward in her chair, looking down at the ground-floor concert with a smile. “I admire Orimi’s talents. She uses her gifts to bring the love of music to those who would never had been able to experience it. And though we have perfectly capable ears, she allows use to listen with our own language… I treasure vaskna like her… Giving up more of herself then anyone ever would.”
Miya looked down at the stage with a roll of her eyes, then turned to the side. She does a double take, placing her hands and forehead on the glass with widened eyes.
The pulsations of color stop in the middle of the stage, with the young Asailles bano'n now nowhere to be seen.

The sesnir eyelids lowered with a worried glance. “What happened where did she….”
“… Mlyvac and Santovic teams report to lower bach area for deep lockdown!”
“… Yushanu voc! All vessel stationary positions and exterior personnel prepare for clars-access liquidation of breach doors.”
“… All units posted on homage security set defecs module and defenses to terminate! Keep posts secured, all secondary and tributary marks in the air are a go!”
Miya’s ears were trumpeted with several transmissions of her once clear comms of several officers dishing out commands and protocols. She looked behind her as the exiting door performed several clicks, then a seal of blue liquid rushed down the exterior, hardening as if a dense sapphire shielding.
The armistice vessels, a set of security heavy and medium fighters surrounding the luxury ship, perform a triangular defense while raising their six artillery gunners and plas-rocketry.
Miya turned around and put a hand on her neck device with a scowl. “Iuyusic-squad, officer reporting, requesting direct line to Mlyvac XOC immediately!”
—Bzzt “Mylvac Xyu-Command request acquired.”
“Brief zone report for lower bach area and directive inquiry following high-chain command.”
—Bzzt “Affirmative. About four mekts during the Civot team rotation, an unidentified group of entangled particles appeared through an undisclosed connection at center stage. In that small amount of time, the entanglement conducted a precise propulsion that caught the civ in the initial implosion.”
Miya’s eyes scrunch down. “So what…? You’re saying there was a distortion in matter, a large boom, then she’s gone? That doesn’t make any sense!”
—Bzzt “According to your heat-sig you’re currently in the upper observation bay with the sesnir. Xarzallon, you’re to maintain your post. Conduct chain review and report only on qualm-oscillation frequency. All lines and squad officers change to insular transmissions with their provincial chains.”
“Right… Understood… Switching to qualm frequency…”
Miya turned back to the window, looking up as a maroon screen rippled across the sky. Usually, planetary shields were deployed during wartime to deter particle cannons or psionic-based super-weapons. Though it was clear that this was a tactic to keep whatever intruder from leaving airspace.
“Young Miya…“
Miya turned back to the sesnir, now standing from her chair with both her hands clasped together to stop the occasional tremble. want… I would like to be in the presence of the koning and nigninok immediately….”
Miya nodded. “Unfortunately, I’ve been ordered to keep you here until it’s safe.”
“Safe…? Safe from who? Is this regarding to Orimi disappearing off the stage?”
“What I meant to say was that I’m to keep you here until we get confirmation for your vessel to land.” Miya turned around and looked at the cerulean coating that covered the hatch door. “And it’s not like we’re going anywhere right now with that stuff on our exit.”
A brush of wind hit Miya’s neck, making her do a swift about-face with her eyes scanning the room. The sesnir, seemingly vanished from her original spot, left behind a flutter of small near-transparent electrical grooves that condensed into the air. The grooves then crackled before bursting, emitting a strong gust of wind that toppled the chair over, cracked the frontal casing, and propelled the wind to all sides of the room.
Miya uncovered her face and then took a step back, staring wide-eyed at the disarray. She then shook her head and pressed her hand onto her comms device.
“Iuyusic squad officer reporting to Mylvac and Santovic Xyu-Command! The sesnir is missing under the same circumstances regarding the civ bach-area incident! I repeat the sesnir is gone without any heat-sig or ghost trail!”
