Greeting.

Miya pivots on her foot, and with a ding of her metal holster her handgun materializes into place which she grabs and aims behind her.

A young male with white skin and colorless hair walks a few feet in front of her before stopping. He smooths back his short-cut hair and smiles, shoving his hands deep into his black-lab coat pockets covering his gray business attire.

“Are you perhaps lost little girl…? I don’t recall anyone giving clearance to any family members on today’s work schedule… And no tours were set for today either… Quite intriguing…”

Kensa runs over to him and skids to a stop, waving both her hands into the air while pointing several times at Miya.

“Ah Kensa, you’re with her too… What, erm… What’re you doing? Is this another one of your silly games?”

Kensa gives a sullen look over to Miya.

“What? Yeah, whatever, you can talk.”

“Wow this is so cool, isn’t it? All those sparkly crystals are really nice! I wish I could have one!… Do you see those things floating around those are called Klavans, they pick up materials and shoot them through a weird time vortex onto a containment broyer to be layered! … Also, that large lava thingy comes down from the middle part of this planet and powers a lot of our facilities. … O-oh we’re reaching the drilling sector now, taking the ventalator is always a fun experience, yay!”

After her rampant speech, Kensa takes a few heavy breaths with slouched shoulders. “I was… Huff… I was holding all that in from the way here…”

Miya shoves her gun back into her holster. “Where are we exactly? And who even are you?”

“Hm, one should introduce themselves before asking such questions but I guess I’ll let it slide, little girl. My name is Lionet, I’m the Intem Director of the Quarry & Research division here at Eidolon.”

“Oh, how interesting.” Miya walks forward, stopping a few feet in front of him. “Could you perhaps get me someone a bit higher up? I don’t think you can help me.”

Lionet squats down and tilts his head with a smile. “My, aren’t you direct? Why don’t you give me your surname so we can get you escorted back to your mommy and daddy? If you do, I’ll give you a cookie!”

Kensa taps Lionet on the shoulder with a nervous smile. “Uhh, Lionet…”

“What is it now?” Lionet sighs while looking back at her.

Kensa points at Miya’s torso, Lionet following her finger with his eyes gazing at her left chest pocket. He gasps and falls to the floor while crawling back, his pupils mirroring the pinkish-metallic glow of Miya’s patroller badge.

“F-Frotem… She’s apart of the…” Lionet then widens his gaze and looks up at Miya, immediately pressing his knees onto the ground and slamming his head onto the floor as well.

“I-I’m sorry! I had no idea we were in for an inspection on such short notice. Could we please start over Patroller ma’am?” Lionet pleads, blue blood drizzling from his noggin and creating a puddle on the ground.

Miya grins while walking past him. “Just get me someone higher. And while you’re at it, I would like a cookie.”

Lionet jumps from the ground and runs past Miya, opening a glass door as she passed to a longer hallway. “I-I’ll get several kinds! B-but would you not perhaps want a more hefty meal? You must be hungry and thirsty!”

“A cookie is fine for now. Please get me your boss.”

“R-right away!”

Kensa, still standing in the middle of the corridor tilts her head. “Lionet never acted that way before… I wonder what’s up with this girl…?”

. . .

“… And you’re sure it’s one of them?”

“… Yes sir, she didn’t state why or how she got here… Just that she wanted to see the Chief Executive promptly…”

“… Muinek… We’ve been doing as we’d been asked… Why in all the stars have we been damned like this?”

A long white hallway was filled with the clicks and clatters of footsteps. A Ya’valtian man with gelled back white hair wearing a strapped-over navy-blue suit hurriedly walked alongside another Ya’valtian woman with cheek-length white hair wearing a white blouse along with a blue-knit skirt.

Four armed guards with holo-face masks surrounded him, all wearing black attire and carrying large rifles pointed to the ground. The man tucks a finger into the inside of his collar with a gulp while looking at his backside. Another Ya’valtian woman with long curled hair, wearing a revealing silk-like dress becoming more opaque and reflective as it follows her from her metal heels, gives him a reassuring smile while patting a young boy's head at her side.

The boy looked up at her with a nervous gaze. “I-Is everything alright mama? Why are those scary men carrying those weapons?”

She looked down at him and stroked the back of his colorless hair. “It’s alright Cotan, daddy’s going to take care of everything. Isn’t that right dear?”

The man turns his head around and nods while clenching his fists at his sides. “Everything… Everything is going to be alright.”

The four guards then run forward, positioning themselves on either side of a set of silver doors at the end of the hallway.

The suited man takes a deep breath and turns around. “How, uhm… How do I look?”

His wife walks up to him, adjusts the tie in the middle of his blazer, and rubs his forearms with a calm smile. “Like the owner of one of the most successful gem-quarrying enterprises in all the cosmos.”

He looks to the side with his assistant giving him a thumbs up.

“Alright then.” The man turns around and places a hand on the door, looking at both the guards at his sides. “If things go awry in anyway, please make sure my wife and child get out of here safely by any means necessary.”

The officer to his left nods his head. “Understood.”

The palm of the suited man’s hand glows underneath the door as it shoots open. He then walks inside while clasping his hands together.

“Welcome to Eidolon! How can I assist you today?”
