“Gwuuh… Hauwlp… Mweeuu…”
Manuiet tries to speak, but a mixture of spit and blood drools from her mouth as she reaches a hand out to Bentu. Miya smacks her hand away and sits down beside him, sitting her feet atop her head with a relaxed exhale.
“So, you said that you were stockholder. Means you got pretty deep pockets, right?”
Bentu looks down at her shirt, noticing a speck of blue blood covering her Patroller badge. “Oh fuck… Caprium… It is true! Hey look, whatever Arnza and them got goin’ on, I ain’t apart of it! I’m just here for some return on sales, alright! Y-you want money? I can pay you whatever, crowns, credits, dills, whatever!”
“I don’t want your money, silly. What I want is information. Do you know exactly who your funding, and what?”
Bentu's eyes search the ceiling with a dry gulp. “I, uh…”
Miya taps his arm, making him jolt as he looks back down.
“My eyes are down here. You gotta tell me something or this can become very painful for you.”
Bentu taps his foot while holding the sides of his head with his hands. “Alright, uh… Wait! I didn’t really pay attention at the board meetings, but they were talking about some drug for combat purposes and maybe some battle-suits or something… Gah! I don’t know!”
Miya nods her head. “Do you know what this drug does? Or the names of things you just described?”
“N-no man! I mean, sir…! I mean, ma’am!… P-Patroller!”
Miya taps her chin in thought. “Not very helpful, but interesting. Thank you. You can leave.”
Bentu looks down at Manuiet with a dismal glance. “Can I… Can I get my girl…”
Miya lifts her feet off her head with a groan. However, as soon as Bentu reaches a hand toward her, Miya kicks her by the side of her face making her lacerated mouth spread even further as she leaves a trail of blood while sliding down the edge of the table with a thump.
Bentu looks at Miya with shock, then shakes his head, grabbing the woman by the back and legs while sprinting to the door. The man who swallowed the drug begins to spasm, with bubbles of spit leaving his mouth as he bangs the back of his head onto the floor.
“Ha! That is kind of funny!” Miya chuckles.
She then looks over the onyx-skinned woman. Her hair was dark violet, matching the color of her skin-tight dress, revealing the crease of her breasts and lower back.
Miya walks over to her and pats her on the head. As if she was in a trance, she jolts and jumps back onto her rear with a gulp.
“You’re Lady Npis NujTxeeg Ly of the Ly Sovereignty. Am I correct?”
She nods her head with a nervous hiccup.
“What’re you doing here? You know your father is desperately looking for you, right? He’s offering fifteen-thousand Lyian credits for your safe return. That could buy you an entire planetary farm-estate, and still have enough for a shipyard.”

Npis blinks while lowering her head to the floor. “I’d been… Kidnapped…”
“Oh so you speak Ya’valtian. Kujo’splat, no platnum? Do you also speak English?”
She nods her head with a sniff.
Miya taps her neck device and inputs a set of keys on a holo-keyboard. Then in a small blink, a white void appears behind Npis.
“That leads to the Eidolon condominium here in the building. You’re to wait there until I come and get you. Understand?”
Npis nods her head, the yellow neon-star earrings bouncing with her head movements. She looks back at her companion's lifeless body and whips her head forward with a whimper while walking through the door.
Miya sighs and leans her torso forward, lifting the glass table behind her with the back of her heel and then kicking it behind her. The last Ya’valtian man ducks, barely eluding the table while trying to crawl toward the exit as the glass shatters onto the ground.
Miya walks over to him, crinkling the glass beneath her boots. “Where do you think you’re going?”
The Ya’valtian man wore a black business suit with white outlining, his hair was cut short with a shaven beard reaching across his neck.
“Kekdric Giroka…? Head Researcher for the Stellar Analysis division?”
The man nods his head while crossing both his arms beneath his chest. “Y-yes… That is I… Ah! I mean, me is him… Er…”
Miya offers him a hand. He hesitantly accepts and pulls himself off the ground. She then brushes off some glass particles from his suit and smiles.
"Don't worry sir, as I'm come here to escort you back home!"
"Y-your what?"
“My name is Miya Yuna, the Patroller for sector… Well, I don’t have an issued sector yet, but I will soon! I was sent by Coordinant Emelia of the Galactic Federation to bring you back to your designated home on A1.”
Kekdric blinks then grabs onto Miya’s shoulders with a serious glance. “T-they sent a kid for me? Look… It’s nice of you to try playing hero, but these are some seriously bad people! If you don’t get out of here soon, I don’t know what they might do to you.”
Several metal footsteps are heard tramping up the stairs to the upper venue.
Miya smacks her teeth and presses a button on her neck device, making a blue ripple twirl around her body until she becomes imperceptible.
"W-where'd you go?" Kekdric asks while glancing side to side.
"Do not worry sir, I'll be back soon. I just have a bit more work to do and I'll personally escort you back to A1 headquarters for debriefing and questioning."
"Oh good grafoot..." Kekdrik swears while rubbing the creases in his head with a sigh.
The door to the room bursts open, with several armored guards wearing white battle suits and holding long-barrelled pistols rushing in, holding positions at all sides of the room. Kekdric looks as the door to the room lingers open for a few seconds before closing on it’s on.
One of the guards steps over the Ya’valtian man with drool escaping his lips. Then notices the trail of blood on the glass table and several teeth scattered along the ground.
“Goddess Saiyukii… What in the blazes happened here?” One of the insurgents asks.
Another insurgent, wearing an opaque metal face mask with two neon-blue eye holes, walks to his side. “We don’t know for sure. Our cameras were externally hijacked so we don’t have any visuals. The guard stationed here only remembers seeing a young girl before blacking out. Mr. Bentu was uncooperative and fled in a heli-carrier before we could ask any further questions.”
He then turns around with a shocked glance, then rushing over to Kekdrik with a salute. “Dr. Giroka, are you alright sir? Do you know where the assailant went?”
Kekdrik looks at the door, then nods his head. “I-I was to out of it to witness anything. Shots fired… Blood… Oh, it was quite traumatic I’m afraid…”
The insurgent rests a hand on his shoulder. “Don’t worry. We’re just glad your safe. You should go back up the Analysis station rooms with Dr. Niuq’tar just to be safe. We’ll find this individual, whoever they are, and apprehend them.”
Kekdrik gives him a half smile while walking outside of the room.
The insurgent then taps his lower arm, causing a black-comms device to materialize itself. “Dr. Kekdrik Giroka was the only one found in the room alone, meaning that he may be the assailant’s target. Make sure he’s locked away tight, as they’ll probably be coming back for him. The individual is a high-level threat and possesses a fire-arm of at least VOC-class or greater. All weapons should be set from disarm to suppress for better measure. Start scanning the entire building’s occupants for masking-ware and virtual-ghosts.”
He then looks down at the Ya’valtian’s man lying on the floor, ’s torn ear and clenched jaw with a glare.
“I repeat, the individual is a high-level threat.”
