Before the armed trooper could react, a red neon laser zips through the sky from one of the capsules. His opaque holo-mask lights up from the incoming blast as he takes a step back.

The laser breaks through his outer shield, cracking the blue outer-layered surface and slicing through his torso.

He falls to his knees in a gasp while clenching onto the expansive hole in his chest, with blood and strips of blue burnt tissue gushing from his gouge.

All of the armed troopers aim their guns at the winged girl.

"... Fire!" One of them exclaims.

All of their rifles blast blue spirals of light that are wrapped around a black energy signature, making the room radiant with whiteness and roar with spewing gunfire.

The winged girl throws her arm up, with a few of the weapon capsules swirling around her, creating a blue hexagonal shield that blocks all of the incoming shots.

The weapon capsules, still floating in the air, begin the whir. Their red ends then fire more narrow beams of red light around the room in a spiral.

The troopers were consumed by the beaming bombardment, their groans and tortured screams echoed through the room as their blood painted the floor and severed body parts crashed onto tables and chairs.

Miya gazes around at the massacre with widened eyes. Her eye catches her holster still on the ground, and takes the opportunity to run toward it.

The winged girl notices her attempt and fires one of her capsule's lasers at a still-hanging piece of glass from the broken pane.

Miya notices a wide shadow looming above her, gazing up at the long sharp shard falling from above.

She rolls to the side, eluding the fallen glass as it shatters around her, the pieces glistening like hail as they bounce into the air.

A sliver of glass whisks past her cheek, drawing a narrow stream of blood. As if time stopped for a moment, she watches as the blood-covered glass glides past her face, mirroring the arming weapon capsule aiming a red beam at her backside.

Miya ducks down as the beam strays at her head's initial location and shatters the blood-stained shard.

Miya tumbles across the ground with another nimble roll and grabs her gun. She then adjusts herself on one knee and aims her gun at the winged girl.

Her pistol’s slide curves outward, long and narrow, similar to a revolver. The color tints down to a pastel-white with yellow energy grooves swirling along the grip and handle. The gun doesn’t have a trigger but somehow senses Miya’s intent to shoot.

The trigger then flickers with a bright flash, releasing a golden spiraling bolt with amber rings growing as it reaches outward. The blast rips through the floor and splits it open like the biblical Red Sea, causing the ground beneath them to shake.

The winged girl looks at the blast, her eyes and face illuminated by the amber discharge closing in.

“Engage Stance…” She murmurs under her breath.

The small holes aligned down her spine emit whitish-blue flares as they open themselves up. Multiple weapon capsules then dart to her backside, probing themselves into the holes as they start to flare immensely.

The capsules then turn to the left and let out a surge of blue heat, making her elude Miya’s blast with a swift turn, the amber burst being only mere inches from her face.

Miya grits her teeth with a glare and takes a step back, firing more gold blasts from her revolver. The winged-girl dashes from side to side using her back thrusters, eluding the incoming shots with her feet grazing the ground.

She covers the distance between her and Miya in seconds, lunging high into the air and reeling her leg back for a kick. Miya leans back, nearly missing the tip of the winged-girls foot; the crisp blast of wind grazes her nose.

Miya then shields herself with her forearms as another foot collides with her wrists. She winces as her wrist snaps out of place, still, the force from her adversary’s attack makes her launch back through the air.

She attempts to slow her momentum by clawing at the ground with her hand, but it’s no use as she continues to hover. Miya’s eyes dilate as she notices the winged girl coming at her with incredible speed, several of the weapon capsules following close behind her.

Miya’s eye twitches in pain as she throws her gun from her fractured hand to her left, then aims it forward. She releases another golden blast from her gun, it whizzing forward with a blaring screech.

One of the weapon capsules dashes in front of the winged girl, cutting the blast in two while continuing to advance. The capsule then collides with Miya’s hand knocking the gun from her grasp.

The capsule then flips in the air with another powered thrust, battering into Miya’s abdomen, making her wheeze and her eyes flicker white.

Through her cloudy vision, she looks at another weapon capsule closing in on her. She blinks once, giving the capsule enough time to stray mere inches in front of her face.

It collides in between her eyes, making her head whip back while the impact makes her backside fly out the broken window. Miya looks up at the artificial night sky and the stars twinkling above with a gasp. She then starts to descend down, the cold air lashing at her backside as she plunges.

Her descent stops abruptly with a jolt, she looks up at the winged girl grabbing her by the throat and holding her mid-air. The colorful city lights flash around them as Miya gazes down at the several-meter drop into a secluded plaza.

The winged girl easily pulls Miya up so that their eyes met at the same length. She then stops and looks Miya up and down with a scrunch of her nose as if displeased.

Miya gasps while blood continues to stream down her nose, making a mess of her face. She holds onto the winged girl’s arm with a shake of her head, trying not to go unconscious.

“Do you not… Know who I am…?” The winged-girl questions.
