Decipher.

Koko, Kyamyo, and Maxim continue to watch as Miya throws the blue interfaces left and right, scouring them relentlessly.

Adelae then walks over to Loliel. “Why is she back here? Don’t tell me you felt sorry for her and told her she could stay.”

Loliel nods her head. “We made a deal, she only came here to deliver. But it seems that something has gotten her attention.”

Ashihei walks beside Miya and looks at a log graph of planetary patterns, tilting his glasses with a straight face. “Now what do we have here?”

“This is an info graph plotting all planetary shifts in the past ten years, starting with 309-S, Saturia, and ending with 4056-E, your inhabited planet,” Miya explains with crossed arms.

Ashihei uses both his fingers and enlarges the interface, drawing a set of scales and lines from each of the seven planets in the 3D orbit.

“They seem to use some sort of geometric sequence to calculate their mean distance from each other,” Ashihei then writes an equation x/1.52 on the board.

“What type of calculation is that?” Miya inquires.

Ashihei continues to write the equation stretching down with narrowed eyes. “Using this distance modulus as a guideline, I’m devising a relationship using whatever formula they have here then referencing these two planets as an outlier.”

“Is that what this AU in the equation x/1.52 = 5/AU |, means?”

“You’re correct, however, it’s quite hard to decipher what this CU unit is, or even what this scale on the right entails.” Ashihei ponders with a hand on his lip.

Miya gets on her tipped toes and struggles to write a set of equations below his formula with an outreached finger. “If you’re referring to the strategy used in orbital mechanics, this wouldn’t be feasible since that over there isn’t your relative star.”

She then opens another screen and inputs a set of symbols and numbers, emitting the same equation. “CU stands for Clextoric Unit, similar to the notation used in your race’s standard Astronomical Unit, but calculates a planet’s position and orbit based on its axis and outer bubble.”

“Intriguing! So what if we changed the x in this variation so that it modifies the density and drag of this model? Meaning… perhaps AU could equal CU if we substitute kilometers for… Whatever this variable is called…”

“Dati.” Miya answers while pointing at some of his writing on the bottom of the board. “If your using singularity in oppose to valuing decomposition, then that would be your output in miles or light years... Whatever you wrote here.”

Adalae nudges Kyamyo with a side-eye. “… The hell are they even on about?”

“It seems that they’re attempting to triangulate our planet’s position based on general relativity. But are also trying to devise a quotient that allows the cosmic horizon not to hinder the highest dimensions in their equation.” Kyamyo answers while analyzing the different screens in front of them.

Koko, Loliel, and Adalae look at her with a side glance.

Maxim scratches his head with a puzzled expression. “That doesn’t help us at all mate. You just made it sound more complex.”

Kyamyo’s screen turns into a tilting hourglass, then a blinking bulb pops up. “O-oh… Er… Oh! They’re trying to pinpoint where Earth is right now and where we're supposed to be.”

“Wait, where it is right now? So Dr. Yamaguchi wasn’t lying… We aren’t in our solar system anymore?” Koko expresses.

Vivi walks over to Loliel’s side and leans on the couch’s back with her arms crossed. “Once he gets like this he can’t stop, can he?”

Loliel watches as Miya and Ashihei continue to write over different templates while pointing at each other’s work.

“I haven’t seen him this elated since… He was back at his old job.”

Vivi subdues her laughter while tilting her head to the floor, tapping the whiskey glass lingering in her palms. “What's this all about Loliel? I’m sure you have a reason for—“

“Hey, Dr. Yamaguchi!” Maxim exclaims, running over to Ashihei now fallen to the floor.

The rest of the group surrounds him with worried looks, however, his gaze is fixated on the group of swirling planets on the 3D map in front of him. His eyes widen, filled with worry and troubled excitement as he ruffles through his hair.

“Ha… Ha… That’s… That’s very interesting…” Ashihei mutters with a smile, fixing his glasses back onto his nose.

Loliel puts a hand on his shoulder with a serious gaze. “What is? Did you figure something out?”

Ashihei nods his head and points to the large blue sphere with crystal-like gems in the middle of the orbital map. “I don’t know what language this is right here. What is it that we’re swiveling around again, Miya?”

“That’s 40RC-I, Iuskuceti. It’s a massive ball of condensed fluid fusions that are dangerous to go near. However, its resources are invaluable and small pieces of its outer belt are sold at high prices at the Murkrune Citadel.” Miya answers with her back turned, eying the brilliant azure Homestar.

Koko walks forward and gazes at the group of planets circling around Iuskuceti at a fixed rate. “I don’t understand… What does that thing have to do with us?”

Miya sighs and points up to a greenish planet with several black moonlets circling around it. “That’s you, 4056-E.”

“As in, Earth… The planet we’re on now?” Maxim attempts to comprehend.

“It’s easier if you include the spectrum coordinates, as they’re several other planets similar to Earth, named Earth, or variations of it like, um—“

A sudden crackle and clink make Miya look up from her moment of thought to Vivi's trembling fingers and the bourbon glass now shattered onto the floor.

The rest of the room was silent and still, with everyone's faces full of dread and angst.

"Did I... Not my myself clear enough. I thought my explanation was quite sufficient."

Loliel removes her helmet while looking down to the floor. "Yes, we get it, Miya. It's just... A bit much to take in that your entire planet just sort of... Moved."
