Report.

Miya walks over, jumps down into the lowered platform, then sits on a white fluffy-meshed seat directly in front of Emelia.

"Why so far away? I thought we were friends…." Emilia whimpers.

"I don't see the need to- "

—Pluush

Before Miya could respond, Emilia walks over and squeezes next to her with a relieved sigh.

"Remember the first time we met? On that fateful day that you were made a Patroller?"

Miya's eyelids lower, her head slouches to the side as if relaxed, as her nose inhales a rosy scent.

"I understand now why I couldn't take my hands off of you when we first encountered. On Asailles, my homeworld, we have a word for those that we feel close bonds with due to similar neural wavelengths and compatible emotions in different lobes."

Miya shakes her head, trying to sway the hypnotic state. "Wha… What are you doing…?"

"We call the bond, Lyroic. It's used to find mates across several stars and quadrants. We basically know our soulmates the day we are born! Wouldn't that be something if everyone knew who and where they're closest friends and loved ones across the stars?"

Miya's heart begins to throb beneath her chest as her breaths become heavy. She unzips the crease of her jacket with a feverish burn spreading across her body, a gentle red coating her flushed cheeks.

"I just wanted to say that, um… Just to let you know that-"

Emilia stops mid-sentence, noticing Miya gripping the side of her waist with an ensnared gaze.

"O-oh! Whoops!"

In an instant, the rosemary smell leaves Miya's mind making her shake her head and return to her senses. Worn out from the mixture of heightened emotions, her head nudges onto Emilia's arm.

"When I start getting sentimental my pheromones become very prudent." Emilia chuckles while patting Miya on the head.

"I have to… Give my… Haa… Report…” Miya gasps with another shake of her head.

"Now why would you need to do all of that? I know the gist of what went down based on your memories. But if you still want to, please go ahead. I do like presentations."

“… Um, hello…?”

Emilia looks behind at Loliel, Ashihei, and Vivi standing near the back of the room. She then jumps up from her seat and claps her hands together with a smile.

"Welcome! Oh, welcome! You must be the family still harbored on 4056-E that Miya reported on a few days ago. I'm so terribly sorry about your loss of home. Was your journey to Aestero Pol without any problems?"

The narrative has been taken without authorization; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.

"Y-yes, thank you…." Vivi nods, looking to the side at Miya's head facing the ceiling with a dazed expression.

"Well please come and sit down, I'll have Ushagov bring us some refreshments and we can chat."

Loliel walks down into the rotating sitting platform and plants herself in front of Emilia, with Ashihei and Vivi sitting at her sides. Emilia then plops down, looking over to Miya, now fully recovered.

"You do that to me again, and we're going to have a serious problem. One that's only solution will be your head severed from the rest of your body."

Emilia points at Miya with a chuckle. "Yakuna jju'as! She's very playful, no?"

Loliel rubs the back of her head. "I'm sorry, who are you exactly?"

"Oh my, I'm sorry… I forgot to introduce myself. My insignia is Madam Coordinant Emilia of the Galactic Federation, known within A1 as Gala Fol. However, I manage the Valcro Unit that's different from the regular law-enforcement that are normally seen across the starboard."

"You're the person that woman was talking about when she spoke to me through my… Mind…” Loliel murmurs.

"Woman…?" Emilia taps the side of her cheek, then raises her finger with an excited grin. "Ah! You mean Kamilla! Yes, she works for this department as well; But I sent her on some errands to prepare for our newest Patroller here!"

Emilia tries to poke Miya's cheek but is instantly dodged.

"I see… This is all a lot to process though." Loliel conveys while looking down at her twiddling thumbs sitting in her lap.

Miya latches onto Emilia's index finger, battling to push her back with an irritated wince while Emilia continues to smile.

"Hm? What is a lot?"

Loliel looks up at Emilia with a sigh. "Yes, we heard of the relationship between Ya'valtians and humans from the pact formed years ago, but this is something else entirely."

"Go on…"

"Erm... First, our planet moving on its own… Then those mutated monsters… And then this whole place, it's quite a lot to grasp really…."

Emilia then turns her head, her finger almost grazing the side of Miya's cheek as she continues to fight a losing battle with now two hands.

"Oh, Miya! Now's the perfect time for you to give your report! You can relay to me all the information perhaps I hadn't seen, and give some explanations to your new acquaintances. Perfect!"

"What?" Miya throws Emilia's hand to the side with an astounded expression. "But there civilians! That's breaking protocol!"

Emilia chuckles and nods her head. "Keke… There's no need to worry, we're the only one's here."

She then turns back and locks eyes with the entire family, though her light-pink pupils only face in one direction. "And even if any information did leak out, we'd just apprehend them and put them through unbearable procedures for their disloyalty. But we won't have to get to that, will we?"

Ashihei tilts his glasses, a white glare shielding his eyes as he looks to the side. Vivi and Loliel perform nervous laughs while shifting in their seats.

The receptionist from before then walks down the blue-carpeted aisle and into the revolving sitting area with a white tray in hand. He sets it down on the middle of the black glass table, takes out four black bourbon glasses shaped like half-diamonds, and then pours a blue liquor into each glass. The drink cracked the glass with ice as if it was well below freezing.

The tray also had an assortment of small black cookies with red filling in the center and ruby-shaped muffins with purple sprinkles. Ushagov places all of the delicious bakeries down, then steps back, bowing, then walks back up the carpeted path.

Emilia folds her leg onto her knee, holding her palm in front of the assortment. "I hope you can handle something a bit stronger than Earthian liquor. This is a crisp liquid intoxicant from the brewers of Is'cara in the Algol Territory of FOS-1."

Loliel tries to grasp the cup by the sides, but the icy build-up makes her jolt as she decides to hold it up from the top. "Thank you so much…."

Miya grabs for the cup sitting in front of her, eying the bubbling contents, then opening her mouth as she leans it closer to her mouth. Emilia swipes the glass from her hand and nods her finger with a smack of her lips.

"I don't think so young lady. You're far too young to be drinking. You don't want to stunt your growth or kill your maturing brain cells."

Miya's eyebrow twitches with glaring eyes. She opens her mouth but sighs and stands up from her seat. "I'll start my report now if you don't mind."
