A sneeze at the front of the bridge takes Loliel and Miya off-guard. Loliel then waves her hand in the air with a sigh.
“Jeez Kyamyo, I’ve told you not to sleep in here. If you’re tired go back down to the quarters and get some rest.”
The middle pilot seat turns around, revealing a young woman with long icy-blonde hair wearing a cherry-colored polyester-metal sleeveless dress. A red diamond-shaped mask covers her face with black neon grooves circling into the middle.
Several holographic panels indicating the ship’s shields, comms devices, thruster speeds, radars, and comms devices all blink off as she stands from her chair.
“It’s just so fascinating up here! I’ve only read about vessels like this on the Q, well with what limited access I have… Oh! Did you get those files I sent you, I’m pretty good huh!”
Loliel nods her head with a smile. “Yep, you’re the best. Thanks so much for your help.”
Miya leans her elbow onto the cylinder base and smudges her hand into her cheek. “I thought I met all of the rejects, but it looks like they just keep spawning like calbonites.”
Kyamyo jumps up from her chair and marches over to Miya as if she was a robot, with two arms and legs in sync. She then raises her trembling hand with a side glance while curling her other at her chest.
“I-It’s me… Kyamyo…”
Miya raises an eyebrow. “… Who now?”
“Ah! I was the droid-bot, remember? But I just use her to go out into the real world and such. I prefer to stay inside is all hehe….”
“I see. So you’re a shut-in.”
Kyamyo gasps, her whole body jolting as if Miya’s words puncture her soul. She then nods her head and raises her trembling hand even further.

“M-maybe w-we could be friends… I unlocked those data drives you gave me so-“
“So you think that makes us friends? Oh please, I’m a Patroller. You’re suppose to want to do stuff like that for me.”
Miya then moves her hand away and leans onto her tipped toes to pat the top of Kyamyo’s head. “But I’ll give you a good job since you’re obviously desperate for acceptance and camaraderie.”
“Hee hee… Thanks…” Kyamyo gushes while bending her down, continuing to be pet.
Loliel sighs and presses a set of buttons on the base panel. “Don’t stroke her ego to much. I’m afraid she already does that for their to be any left for others to grasp.”
Miya smirks and stops petting, causing Kyamyo to grumble. “And I’ll continue to stroke, for I am well worth it.”
Loliel inputs a last set of keys then swings the panel in front of Miya. “Alright, put in the gate codes then we be on our way. Our jumpers are pretty capable so it should only take a matter of hours.”
“Ha, ha, of course!” Miya spouts, raising her finger in front of the screen.
She then stops at the edge of the panel, looking down with a dismal looming shadow over her face.
Loliel taps her finger on the glass. “What’s the matter? You said you knew the codes.”
Miya’s finger starts to tremble slightly. “I do… n’t… k-kno… w…”
Loliel puts a hand up to her ear. “I couldn’t hear her. Could you Kyamyo?”
Kyamyo shakes her head. “No not really. It kind of sounded like she said, don’t know, or something.”
“You may want to repeat yourself Miya. No one could hear you clearly.” Loliel insists.
Miya grips her hand into a fist. “I don’t… I don’t… I don’t know, okay! There!”
“Why didn’t you just say that in the first place?” Loliel exults while swinging the panel back in front of her. “That lady I met told me all I needed to know, so we can get no problem.”
“Excellent! … Wait, why didn’t you just do that in the first place?”
Loliel inputs a set of keys onto the panel while continuing to smile. “Because you’re so easy to read, obviously.”
A small blood vessel appears on the side of Miya’s face. “You’re one of my least favorite people, I’ve ever met. And I met a shut-in girl today!”
Kyamyo, somewhat deep in thought, shakes her head and looks at Miya’s finger, now pointing at her. “W-who… Me…?”
Loliel sets the coordinates and warp codes onto the panel, then a green Enter button appears on the bottom.
Miya looks down at her finger inching from the screen. “What’re you doing? We don’t have all day. Set the warp codes so we can leave, I’ve got stuff to attend too.”
“I’m waiting for the magic words, of course!” Loliel beams.
“Magic wor…? — Listen here, you abhorrent, putrid, lower breed of—“
“… Bwuuhaaa…”
