(Julius Argenti POV)
*BEEP BEEP BEEP*
"Uhh, it's already 6:00?"
I dragged myself out of bed. My hair was messy as I cleaned myself up. Even though I could go over 3 days without sleeping, having such little sleep was disturbing my mood.
James was sleeping without a care in the world. I did him a favour and woke him up. We had to be at Ausburn Park by 7:00 and I didn't want to know what the punishment for being late was.
After brushing my teeth and washing my face, and went downstairs to enjoy my meal. Noisy chatter could be heard everywhere, as everyone was eating as much food as they could.
It was an all-you-could-eat buffet, so we didn't have to worry about going hungry. I noticed Violet and Amina on the opposite side of the room.
Violet was awake and excited while Amina looked like she was about fall asleep. Her hair was messy and she could barely keep her eyes open.
We met up with them and took our seats. Amina sat next to me, while Violet and James sat together.
"Jules, do you mind getting me toast, pancakes and pastries."
Amina mumbled as she was resting her head on the table. Amina was never good at staying awake. Staying awake for over 24h was difficult for her. Though she would be able to shrug off the sleep deprivation as the day went on.
"Sure."
We collected our food and stuffed ourselves as much as we could. Mages could store more and burn many times the number of calories a regular human could. If I was exercising and training, I could easily burn over 20 000 calories a day.
After eating our fill, we realised that would be late if we took public transport, so we decide the run to Albert Park. It would also be a good warm-up.
We grabbed our bags before sprinting, hopping around the city, similar to Spiderman. I noticed other students had the same idea as us.
After 5 minutes of running, we arrived at Albert Park, with 15 minutes to spare. Other students arrived after us, barely making it in time.
After it hit 7:00 am, all students that arrived then onwards were separated from the main group. We then arranged ourselves in our classes.
We met with Mrs Rumbles as she was leading our class. Class 1A was much different from before, we over half of our classmates being different.

During the first monthly assessment, we lost nearly half our class, and then the next ones we only lost one or two students, sometimes some even returning. It was fierce competition, though the top 10 had already secured their spots and didn't change.
We entered Ausburn Park with Mrs Rumbles leading us deeper into the forest. The massive canopy was covering the restricted area of the park. It was dark with small gaps of light that managed to get past the leaves.
We could hear the growls of different animals as we passed by. They didn't come close to us as Mrs Rumbles' {Haki} was enough to warn them of the strength difference.
Even so, most of the students were terrified, including Violet and James. The only ones unaffected were Amina and I. These animals were nothing compared to the terror of Veronica's training.
I suddenly felt someone tug on the edge of my shirt.
"Ah, sorry about that Julius."
A person named Lisa Rosario grabbed the edge of my shirt. She was one of the 10 students who never left class 1A. Even though she apologised, she didn't let go of my shirt.
I could feel Amina's eyes boring into me. I also felt James smirking. Amina after seeing this was probably going to tease me the entire day.
Lisa Rosario actually confessed to me previously, though I rejected her. I wasn't interested in a relationship currently nor did I have any romantic interest in her.
She is usually reserved and rarely talks to anyone. I've heard that she only has her mother as her father is dead. But recently she has gotten happier.
I don't think she's given up on either so she's trying to get me interested in her. I was always terrible at connecting emotionally with people so I was unsure what to do in this situation.
My only friends in my past life were Mia and Howard while in this life it was Amina. I didn't know how to approach people so forming any connections was hard for me.
We finally arrived at a small clearing, where Mrs Rumbles stopped releasing her {Haki}. It was an empty field with just some crates.
"Okay, boys and girls. Your first objective is to survive. I will get rid of any animals B rank and above. You have to make camp with the supplies here. I won't help you at all. And be careful, some animals are hungry. If you don't want to be their next meal then you better watch your back."
She then used {Burst Step} or a similar technique to disappear from everyone's sight. I couldn't even catch her movement.
After she left, everyone started panicking after hearing her message. They all ran around like helpless chickens.
"CLASS 1A."
Violet shouted and immediately calmed everyone down. Violet Storm was our class president so put it upon herself to lead the class.
She was basically the class celebrity with her looks and relationship with the current Hero, so it was obvious that she was picked.
We learnt how to survive in the wilderness in school, but this was the first time putting into practice. Heck, for most of our class, it was the first time they were in any sort of danger. They were all scared.
This is my first time experiencing this too.
We picked up the crates and searched for a water source. We didn't know how long we'd be in this god-forsaken forest and water was a necessity.
We searched for a couple of hours a before coming across a clear lake. Just as a person was about to drink from it, I stopped them.
Drinking from lakes was a bad idea as there is an unknown amount of viruses and bacteria in the lake. Even though we were immune to most diseases, there was still a chance that they are deadly.
I motioned for Amina to solve this problem. She nodded and immediately pulled out her bow and shot an arrow into the water.
She used her soul attribute to kill all the souls residing the in the lake. If the bacteria were dead, they couldn't harm us. Well, some could, but our bodies were resilient enough to handle the after-effects.
After filtering the water, we drank our fill while refilling our bottles. Surrounding the lake was a nice patch of grass, so we decide to set up camp here.
