My Life After Death
The Drug Trail [3]

The Drug Trail [3]

"Now tell me about your supplier."

"I..I...I don't know what you're talking about."

He spoke timidly to me.

"AUGHHH!"

"Don't bullshit me. I told you to be honest."

I slowly froze his arms. I made sure the nerves weren't damaged for Jasper to feel the maximum pain.

"If you lie to me again, it will be 5 times as painful. Who is supplying Giecephamine?"

"Ha..ha..ha... how do you know about Giecephamine?"

"I have connections. Now answer my questions."

It seemed that he didn't know about SUITE. SUITE was a hidden organization anyway. The only people who would know about it are Vision and their related partners as well as high-level officials in the government and high-ranking noble families.

"You don't know what you're dealing with. They have deep connections in the underworld. They will kill you!"

"I DON'T CARE. JUST ANSWER THE FUCKING QUESTION!"

I was getting pissed. Jasper wanted to threaten me to preserve his own life. I could tell that he would face consequences for telling me the information.

Under my sharp gaze, he finally relented.

"I don't know his name. He goes by Narco."

'Hmm, Narco? He doesn't seem to be lying. I haven't heard of him before. He must be a dealer who rose recently. I'll have to contact SUITE about the information.'

"Where does he operate and how did you meet him?"

"He operates in Vas Gyan, Califordia. My subordinate came in contact with him and we came to a deal."

'Vas Gyan... that's known as the party city or the city that never sleeps. It's similar to Las Vegas back in my world. A lot of shady dealings occur there.'

"Do you know what he looks like?"

"No, I have never met with him. I have only come in contact with his subordinates."

"Ok, where do you keep your other slaves?"

"Wha...What do mean?"

'Fucking hell.'

"AHHHHHH!"

I froze his other arm.

"They are all in the basement."

"Thank you for the info. As a reward, I won't torture you to death even though deserve it."

"Huh?"

I slashed him and left the room letting him bleed to death.

*CRACK CRACK*

The guards finally noticed the frozen doors and started attacking them. The door soon came crashing down with the guards entering the room holding their weapons.

"I'll let you go if you surrender."

I then immediately used {Haki}. Haki was a technique that allowed you physically manifest your intent. It worked by imbuing your intent in your mana and releasing it.

Haki could be used in many ways, such as to suppress or calms others. In this instance, I had unleashed my killing intent.

All the civilians froze up. Their bodies were shaking and they couldn't move. To them, I must have been a terrifying monster.

They soon dropped their weapons and collapsed onto the floor. Some of them even fainted from the pressure.

The only ones who managed to stand were the mages. However, they weren't completely unaffected. They were shivering and their hold on their weapons was shaky at best.

"How about it?"

The strongest D rank mage still had the composure to fight, but knowing the difference in ranks, he let me go.

Currently, I would approximate my strength to be mid C rank. This was ridiculous for my age but I wouldn't make it to B rank for a couple of years. There is a vast gap between B and C ranks that couldn't be crossed easily.

I followed the map to the bottom floor and arrived at the door to the basement. The door was reinforced and locked. No civilian would be able to break this door but as a C rank, this was a piece of cake.

A loud banging sound could be heard reverberating through the mansion as the door was broken. I walked down the stairs leading to the basement. It had a musty smell and cracks were running down the walls. It hadn't been cleaned in a while.

I reached the bottom and there were prison cells lined across both sides. Women and men could be seen, chained up. They all looked toward me. They must have heard the door crash down.

"Who are you."

One of the women asked timidly.

"I guess you can call me your saviour. Jasper Spencer is dead. My friends will all collect you tomorrow."

Before I infiltrated the mansion, I had asked the SUITE agents stationed here to ask for backup. They would deal with the mess afterwards.

I freed the slaves from their chains. Some of them had consumed Gieceph, but not enough for them to become Jasper's slaves. Though there were others I had to put down.

After convincing them to stay here till tomorrow, I left the basement. I extended my senses and searched for the rest of the guards. I quietly took them all out. I didn't use {Haki} as at my current level, it took too much mana to incapacitate civilians, not to mention mages.

By the time I was finished, I could see the sun rising. From the top of the mansion, I could see the sun illuminating the town below.

I relaxed, feeling the wind caressing my body. My silver hair was fluttering behind me.

'It's quite long. I might have to cut it soon. Though Amina says she likes my long hair. I'll think about it when I get back to Headquarters.'

Even though I was resting, my guard was up making sure that someone didn't attack me from behind. I didn't want to die yet.

I didn't know how long I was up on the roof, but eventually, I got up and left Jasper's estate. The blood had dried already and I wanted to take a bath to clean it off.
