Inside the adventurers guild, it was very different and also very-very messy... out of all of the guilds that we've been to, this is the most cluttered of all of them.
There was metal junk scattered around some of which seem like huge cogs, that are being used as tables by the adventurers.
By the walls, there were leaning monstrosities, hollow full body armors. They were surrounding the guild hall...
I hope that none of these armors would get possessed and then suddenly come to life. If I remember correctly, Maria, mentioned something like those existing too.
Boy, I guess the guild master really has a bad taste at decorating stuff...
"This place is scary..." [Mooly]
"You think so too Mooly?" [Angelica]
"Un." [Mooly]
Mooly said as she tugs a part of my skirt.
"Whoa, new faces."
"There are even two beauties."
The male adventurers stared at me and Maria.
"Oh! a cowgirl. Do you want to party with me?"
This guy is a demi-human bear. Sitting upright his whole body is almost covered in brown fur. Thank god that the sensitive parts are hidden by his armor.
"No." [Mooly]
"C'mon it's going to be fun."
Before he manages to grab Mooly's hand I intercepted him. This bear is dangerous where is the party wagon {1} when you need them? Looking closely at him this dude almost looks like p*d* bear. {2}
"You have balls for trying to get cute, but deadly in your party." [Angelica]
"Cute, but deadly?"
"Wait... a cowgirl with green clothes and huge racks."
"Dumb-ass! All cowgirls have huge racks!"
The men nearby had question marks floating all over their heads. One even smacked another dude for being stupid, of course, all cowgirls have huge breasts that even I know of it.
"Wah-wah-wah-wah!"
"The chick, that could lift a greatsword with just one hand?!"
One couldn't speak clearly and just pointed his hand at Mooly while shaking in fear.
Ah, seems like it reached even as far away as here. Mooly's nickname (Cute, but deadly)
"S-sorry for bothering you! We'll all be off then!"
Those guys left as fast as they finished the sentence. The other adventurers looked our way.
"The inventors' party?"
"Wait THE inventor?!"
Ah, crap. I forgot that people also knew that Mooly is with us. So much for stealth, now, I wouldn't be able to go around shopping without people asking me for my inventions.
"Get her to the guild master!"
"Eh?" [Angelica]
What the dwarven fuck?!!
Just as I finished my sentence. Dwarfs by the hundreds circled around me and carried me off.
"Angelica!" [Blake/Maria]
"Sis!" [Mooly]
"..." [Irvine]
As if in a comedic act. I was lifted and thrown into a room my butt bounced on the floor hitting it multiple times before I finally stop in front of a person.
"You are the inventor?"
While rubbing my sore butt somebody spoke. It was a muscle-loaded dwarf, did this guy use buff me up? {3}
I can guess that he was a dwarf because of his beard, small height and the strong lingering smell of alcohol, no racism included.
"Can you please explain to me why I have been suddenly picked up by hordes of dwarves and thrown into this room?" [Angelica]
"Sorry about that, the men were just excited."
"Excited? Don't tell me that you were all planning on?!" [Angelica]
"Oh no-no-no."

"Ha... hah..."
Since he's a dwarf. I probably knew what he was after since they all kept calling me the inventor.
"Can I make a request dear inventor?"
"Angelica." [Angelica]
"Ah, my apologies my name is Russel." [Russel]
"So then... you want me to import my wares?" [Angelica]
"Oh, you pick up quick. Yes, we'd like to have your inventions here in the village." [Russel]
"I heard from somebody that transporting them here is expensive and a pain..." [Angelica]
"We can arrange all of that for you." [Russel]
"Are you sure about that? Why do you go to such lengths just to get my inventions?" [Angelica]
I'd have to know the reason why before I agree to something. It'll be hard if it was something unreasonable, like putting the cart before the horse. I do know that they'll use it for the forge, but if there are also other reasons like me making a road for them then...
"As you may know, our village is known for the quality of our weapons and people travel far and wide just to purchase them." [Russel]
"I already did notice that since coming to this village," [Angelica]
"But, now we are losing to the smiths at Dalio." [Russel]
"The smiths from Dalio?" [Angelica]
"Yes, due to receiving your inventions, they now have much better forges there and are creating a lot of high-quality wares with minimal effort." [Russel]
Well, I heard from the smiths there that my invention is making their life easier and having my fire enchant helps them from not getting burned by the forge. It also keeps the temperature stable for them or at the level they wanted it to be.
"Then isn't it much better if you just moved into the city?" [Angelica]
"Sorry, but I'd have to decline on that. Transporting our ores is much more costly." [Russel]
"Ah, so it is like that..." [Angelica]
We can benefit from them forging stuff, but aside from them being able to create even stronger weapons that I can use. There is also a drawback... those same weapons may make the market unstable...
It's not like I'm trying to monopolize. I know that with better weapons we adventurers will have a much easier time dealing with monsters and the better tools can help with the masses, but since dwarfs are known for their neutrality and openness for commerce, there is a high possibility that the weapons they make will be bought by warring states or countries...
I need to think of something to prevent that from happening. While also not hurting their trade.
"I will agree on that, but under a condition." [Angelica]
"... Alright..." [Russel]
"One, you can still trade the wares normally, but the weapons that you create are only for adventurers, normal townspeople including the local guards and knights." [Angelica]
"Oh don't worry about the weapons, we don't sell them to other countries." [Russel]
"Really?" [Angelica]
"Yeah, we wouldn't really want anybody to use the weapons we made against us." [Russel]
"Ah, so you've thought of that much. Okay then, Two, bring down the price of your weapons a bit lower." [Angelica]
"I can understand the first one, but the second is a bit..." [Russel]
"The same as me. I do know that you make things for a living, but the trade-off is good since you can make stuff faster and with much less effort." [Angelica]
They can also benefit with selling at a cheaper price because it would open up a new market which they could sell even more weapons, thus equal to additional income.
"Alright... we have a deal then." [Russel]
After some thinking, Russel agrees. I shook his hand and we walked out of his office.
"Oh, that reminds me I wanted to show you something." [Russel]
"Mmn? What is it?" [Angelica]
Russel opens a door to another room and boy I was surprised of what was inside.
"Magic crystals?! How did you get this many!" [Angelica]
"Hahahaha! I guessed as much. When we have heard of your inventions, we immediately bought as many crystals as we can from merchants, that manage to pass through here." [Russel]
I see one... no... two... dozen sacks of magic crystals...
"You're sure that you've seized all of these through legal means right?" [Angelica]
"What do you mean by that?" [Russel]
"The most that I've received from my suppliers is only around five to six sacks." [Angelica]
"Ahh, maybe it is because there was a sudden shortage of crystals from the republic from a huge demand. We have brought most of these from the merchant coming from the empire." [Russel]
Wait... I think I'm the only one who's buying them, but a shortage? Maybe someone else is hoarding them, but who? I better ask King Alex to look into this when I go back into Dalio to restock my inventions.
"Uh, inventor..." [Russel]
"Ah, sorry I was lost in thought." [Angelica]
"I was thinking of if it is alright with you to do your thing with the crystals?" [Russel]
"You mean imbue them right now?" [Angelica]
"Ah, yes that. If it is okay." [Russel]
"This is a lot you know?" [Angelica]
It will take some time imbuing all of these crystals, for sure it might take me half a day just to imbue them all.
"Of course, it won't be for free. Take this as a quest from me, then we'll pay you through the guilds quest reward." [Russel]
"About how much am I expecting really?" [Angelica]
"Here is the request form. I hope that the amount will be to your liking." [Russel]
When I looked at it, my mouth just dropped open. Just to be sure, I even rubbed my eyes to see if the other single digit added to the rewards will disappear, but it didn't.
500 gold coins... 500 GOLD COINS!! This is too much! I'm only expecting to have around 40-50 gold coins, but 500?!
You can buy a small cheapest house in the city with that amount!
"Ahhhhhh..." [Angelica]
"If that is too low for you we can increase it a bit more." [Russel]
"Seriously?!" [Angelica]
I was going to ask Russel if there was a mistake in the computation, but he just looked at me seemingly unaware how much money that he is just giving away.
"Alright. I will take this request of yours, but... please, make the rewards only 300 gold coins..." [Angelica]
"Are you sure? You're being too generous." [Russel]
"No... It is already too much, to begin with." [Angelica]
Even though it pains me to say it, I do not plan to rip people off. I wanted to have our relationship based on trust than on money alone.
As I have experienced having some form of trust in my past life. Where I go buy my lunch at the same store every day and when I had forgotten my wallet, the people there were kind enough to let me take some food, but I paid for it the following day of course!
"Also, can you forward the 250 gold reward to the guild branch in Dalio?" [Angelica]
"Sure no problem, but can I ask why?" [Russel]
"I recently started an orphanage there and I want you to please give the rewards to a person named Mrs. Helen." [Angelica]
"You're a really generous person huh? Alright, I'll go send it to them the day after tomorrow." [Russel]
"Thank you, Russel." [Angelica]
I know that Mrs. Helen is someone that I could trust to take care of the sisters. With that amount, It can probably cover their living and education expenses for about 3-5 years or so.
