In the next two days, we'll be departing back to our village of Libang.

While staying here grandfather, had let me use the library for my research. I also spent time training my water magic and swordsmanship with Blake.

Currently, I've been testing some stuff. It was hard for me to transition from Fire enchant to Wind enchant when attacking. I once tried to use Blake's jian, which had the Fire enchant, but when I used it in conjunction with the Wind enchant, they canceled each other out.

Blake almost always wins in our training. He's become nearly unbeatable, which is good, but I'm slowly catching up to him as I get used to high-speed combat.

Maria takes classes from Jose. She's taught with higher-level magic, she also said that she will be taught how to do multicast. So this world has that magic huh, will Maria learn it upon reaching level 6? {1}

After eating my breakfast I went straight to my grandfather for a chat. He really likes to have me as company.

While I was with grandfather I had shown him a display of how I do my enchants. By this time, I had already mastered the Novice level Water magic. The Water enchant covers the whole blade in water. As for its effects, I still haven't found out because I had only just recently unlocked it and it is still quite unstable.

I asked him if my magic is rooted within the family. Sadly, he said no, although there are some individuals who have unique magic.

I had read about it in the library. Those people with unique or what they call personal magic are just a few in the world. Am I considered special then?

There was also a magician that was able to stop time, is that person a maid perhaps? {2} But she was only able to use it for ten seconds which is a bummer.

"You said that you didn't want to weaponize that magic, yet you use it yourself." [King Alex]

"I use it with good intentions." [Angelica]

"What about that man who was with you? Do you trust him with that sword?" [King Alex]

"Yes, he's my childhood friend and without him, I may have died a couple or so times." [Angelica]

"Do you like him?" [King Alex]

"Hahh?!" [Angelica]

I suddenly lost my concentration and the water from the enchant fell to the floor with a splash. Seeing that spectacle grandfather made a slight chuckle.

"Where did that come from?!" [Angelica]

"You like him." [King Alex]

"I don't!" [Angelica]

"Your face is as red as a tomato." [King Alex]

"Grandfather!!" [Angelica]

Just as grandfather was about to enjoy teasing me, a knock came from the door. It was Howard.

I forgot that even in the medieval ages there are some spies that infiltrated other kingdoms to get valuable or secret information. Seeing that grandfather is this stressed, it may be just a normal or daily occurrence from him, I wouldn't be surprised if we also had spies in other kingdoms.

At the guest lounge. We met with Oscar, he was slightly skinny, tall, and is bald. Grandfather and I sat on the same couch.

"My liege says that he was glad that you had managed to recover a bit of your strength, your highness..." [Oscar]

"Does my son not have time to even visit me, yet he can send his retainers?" [King Alex]

"He has always been busy! Busy for over six years!" [King Alex]

Oscar was interrupted as grandfather shouted and struck the table with his hand.

"Your highness, please understand that he already has a family of his own... Also, it's his daughter's 15th birthday." [Oscar]

"He doesn't even let me see my grandchildren anymore..." [King Alex]

"..." [Oscar]

Hearing that line Oscar was not able to say a thing. I could see the loneliness in grandfather's eyes.

"Angelica..." [King Alex]

I held his hand to calm him down. Moments after he took a deep breath and sighed.

"What other matters do you have." [King Alex]

"I wish to speak with the inventor." [Oscar]

"Go ahead." [King Alex]

Grandfather seems to want to listen to what this guy has to say. If he doesn't trust this guy around me, then I would also go and keep my guard up.

"Privately. If I may." [Oscar]

Grandfather's temper shot up again, I can imagive a thermometer swelling then popping due to the stress. I looked back at him and shook my head. I told grandfather that it was fine for him to leave and that he shouldn't worry too much.

Grandfather and Howard then left me with Oscar at the lounge.

"What is it do you have to ask." [Angelica]

"My liege has heard of your great exploits and he wants you to utilize them for the good of all." [Oscar]

He said that while playing with his hands which is like he is going to give me a good deal. I've seen lots like him and these are the kind of people who you would not want to be familiar with.

"Utilize in what exactly?" [Angelica]

"We've heard rumors that you have created weapons that can easily destroy armor." [Oscar]

The moment he said weapons, I raised my brow. This conversation will not end well...

"You do know that weapons and the word good cannot simply be mixed together right?" [Angelica]

"We do not intend on using it for violence." [Oscar]

"Even though you say that there will always be those who flaunt their superiority and those who will not follow orders." [Angelica]

Even though the higher-ups may implement laws, there is always a chance that people, with lower ranks, will bully or harass others with this power.

"Do you not see the good things this could do if we were to implement this? With those weapons, we can repel the orcs and even the undead easily!" [Oscar]

"So, after we're finished with them and have no other threat to fear of. Do you know what will happen?" [Angelica]

"There will be peace and prosperity." [Oscar]

"Wrong, there will be endless war and bloodshed." [Angelica]

"Why is that so?" [Oscar]

"People unite under one common enemy, imagine if that were removed. Strife will fill the land till there is nothing left." [Angelica]

It's like the U.S. and Russia during WW2 even though they were friends, once Germany got defeated, the Cold War followed soon after.

"Well... that is only unless if there are various governing bodies." [Oscar]

"You aren't implying..." [Angelica]

"Yes! To be united under one flag! One kingdom! Then, we could achieve true peace!" [Oscar]

"The other kingdoms wouldn't simply hand over their authority." [Angelica]

"That... could be taken care of." [Oscar]

"By force and coercion?" [Angelica]

"Heh, you are very wise despite your age." [Oscar]

"Well, I do think like an adult." [Angelica]

He glared at me and I did too so in kind. If I combined my age from my past life 19 and now 16 then I would be 35 years old.

"Let us end our conversation here shall we?" [Angelica]

Has he not heard what I just said? I'm not sure if he's either deaf or stupid.

"What is with royals? Are power and money all that they can think about?" [Angelica]

He tried to call me a bitch, yet he managed to control his rage, I applaud him for doing so.

I stood up from the couch and before I left, I said "There won't be a next time~"

When the door closed. I could hear him cussing and yelling inside.
