"Ehem-ehem." [Michelle]
Michelle coughs, then continues.

So... as he took it off, I saw the extent of his wounds. It was quite severe, with a fracture here and there, a broken rib, and a deep gash. Maybe from his armor, it must have been an impact type, possibly from the ogre's club.
My long skirt now turned into a short as I cut off the cloth to be used as bandages. Since my clothes are also wet I took it off and also the corset, leaving only the underwear left.
I used my wet clothing to wipe the blood from Terrence's torso. As I wiped the blood, I saw his well-developed body.
From his training. The muscles were hard and it had these magnificent ridges. I stopped to look at this marvel and as I looked up. I saw Terrence, our eyes locked, this time I was the first to break away from my gaze.
Cold air blew from outside making me shiver.
"Are you cold?" [Terrence]
"I-Isn't it obvious?" [Elaine]
"..." [Terrence]
"..." [Elaine]
He asked an obvious question, so I gave him an obvious answer without much thought, we then both became silent.
"In our village." [Terrence]
"Hmn?" [Elaine]
"In our village. When camping out and we have no fire available, we huddled together in groups to keep ourselves warm during the night..." [Terrence]
I wanted to ask him if it was a joke, I but sat next to him otherwise...
The next day...
"Mmn..." [Elaine]
"Good morning." [Terrence]
"G-good morning..." [Elaine]
"Have you slept well?" He said. As I notice that I had used his arm as a pillow.
"Yes... how are your wounds?" [Elaine]
Getting up I checked for his bandages.
"I've managed to recover a bit." [Terrence]
(Blerrb!)
"Hahahahah! Aw!!" [Terrence]
"S-sorry!" [Elaine]
He laughs at me when my stomach growled. I elbowed him on reflex by the wound...

"I'll go out." [Terrence]
"Why?" [Elaine]
"To go get breakfast." [Terrence]
"Where would you get breakfast in this large fore- Ahh..." [Elaine]
So he meant hunting for food, but I don't want him to move, for it might reopen his wounds.
"I'll go instead." [Elaine]
"No, there may still be dangerous monsters outside." [Terrence]
"Please put your trust in me." [Elaine]
"Hahh... just be careful, if it becomes dangerous run back immediately." [Terrence]
I held his hand as I said that. With a sigh, he agreed, yet he was still concerned about my safety.
I put on my clothes and he wore his. As I tied the lace on my back I saw him looking. Well... I'm not mad, I've already seen his body too.
My clothes is still a bit wet, but not to the point that I'm uncomfortable with it.
So I finally head out and after some time I have found myself a squirrel.
"Earth Coffin!" [Elaine]
▪Earth Coffin▪ encased the squirrel instantly, as it opened...
"Ugh..." [Elaine]
The squirrel was crushed flat, it was completely inedible.
Slowly I'm starting to learn from my failures. I've already killed a bunch of monsters, but couldn't get them back, because they were either riddled with holes or burned to ash...
There are also times when some monsters managed to escape me.
This time, I got a subterranean rabbit. I was lucky that it stuck its head out of its burrow and managed to decapitate it with an ▪Air Cutter▪ spell.
As I went back. I met Terrence on the way. He said, "I thought something had happened." Since I was out for too long he got worried and searched for me. It also opened his wound... when we got back I scolded him because of it.
"Okay, time to roast you." [Elaine]
"Elaine, wait-wait-wait!" [Terrence]
"Hmn?" [Elaine]
"You need to skin it first before you cook it." [Terrence]
Back at the cave. I was about to cook the rabbit that I caught, but Terrence stopped me as I was about to put it in the campfire.
Terrence brought out his knife and started skinning it. I looked away because it was kind of gross...
After cooking it, we ate the rabbit. It lacks taste and needs some seasoning. I made some drinkable water using water magic. Magic is really a useful thing.
On the second day, I redo the same thing, and Terrence skins the food. On the third day...
"Uhh... good morning Terrence." [Elaine]
"Hahh... huff..." [Terrence]
"Terrence?!" [Elaine]
When I went to greet him. He was lying there breathing profusely.
"H-hot!" [Elaine]
He has a high fever. I didn't know what to do, I tried to talk to him, but he wasn't responding.
Terrence told me that a search party may be coming, so we should stay put.
I wanted to go out and get some help, but it would only leave him unprotected.
So I decided that it would be better just to stay. At night he started to shake, I moved him a little closer to the entrance by the campfire.
I know that starting a fire may attract monsters, but this was an emergency. By the entrance, I had a 180* view of the outside.
The fire got the cave well-lit, but it was hard to see further than five meters out because of the lush vegetation. During that time I was on total alert for any monster attack and was ready to use my spells at a moment's notice.
I kept Terrence close to me and the campfire as much as possible and never slept. By morning I was at my wit's end and started blacking out.
"They're here!!"
"Thank God..." [Elaine]
Just as when I was about to lose consciousness, I saw a group of knights rallying towards me. They might have seen the smoke coming from the campfire and used that as a beacon.
"Princess?!"
"Terrence?"
"Heal them! And use ▪Cure▪ on Terrence immediately!! He is dying of infection!"
"Yes, sir!"
We were saved in time by the rescue party. I was told that if Terrence hadn't been by the campfire then he may not have survived the night, which made me thankful for what I did.

(Knock-knock!)
"Wah?!" [Maria]
"Oh, it's Blake." [Angelica]
Blake suddenly knocked on the window and startled Maria who was near it.
I led him inside.
"You do know that it's the dead of night right?" [Angelica]
"Sorry... I just noticed the light from the window." [Blake]
"Are you sure that you weren't peeking?" [Angelica]
"Why would I do that?!" [Blake]
"Heheh... I was just joking. Come..." [Angelica]
"Sorry for the sudden intrusion..." [Blake]
