Here at the school grounds, we glared at one another. He's still acting cocky which reminds me of the knight.

He held his staff with one hand. I find it very unusual because most of the magicians I've seen hold their staff with both hands.

If I look closely his weapon is like a cane. I'll keep my distance and observe the way he fights.

"Earth Spike!!" [Angelica]

"You invoke so slow." [Irvine]

He jumped back before •Earth Spike• hits him.

"Show me that power of yours." [Irvine]

Was he trying to taunt me to make me use my enchants? Did he know how my enchants work?

"If you don't then I'll show mine instead!" [Irvine]

He dives forward and swung his cane at me like a golf club.

"Water Ball!!" [Irvine]

After missing with his cane, he immediately used the spell •Water Ball• as a follow-up, he was so close to me where we can barely bump our fists together.

Because of the close proximity, I had little time to dodge, but it somehow missed me by an inch. If I got hit by that, I will probably be thrown away. •Water Ball• isn't a fatal spell, under certain circumstances. Unless you use it to push something off of a cliff.

"I'm not finished yet! Lighting Arc!!" [Irvine]

"Ahhhh?!!" [Angelica]

"Angelica!" [Blake/Maria]

Bolts of electricity pass through my body. It isn't painful, it was like a simple jolt from an electric socket. Thank god that it only lasted for a second...

Wait... if I got wet from the •Water Ball• then got zapped by that thing, would it be considered a K.O.?

I'll be a lot more careful next time, he may try to do a combo on me.

I stood up. Well, that was certainly shocking, no pun intended. I never expected him to use magic in quick succession.

"What's your reason for making Maria join you?" [Irvine]

"Reason? Maria is an adventurer, so it's natural for her to enjoy partying up and going out on quests." [Angelica]

He kept giving me that despicable look that it's starting to piss me off.

"That's a lie." [Irvine]

"What is-" [Angelica]

He resumed attacking before I even manage to finish my sentence. This mother fucker, you shouldn't skip the dialogue in a cut scene!

"Hah!" [Irvine]

Swinging his cane like a sword is he only doing that to distract me? I'll try to parry him, but it is most likely that he will use magic as a counter.

No matter, I'll do it and see what his reaction is and quickly use my wind enchant.

I blocked his cane and it bounced upwards.

"Chance!" [Angelica]

I used my wind enchant and...

(Clang!)

The sound of metal clashing together rang in my ears, my kris was blocked by a sword. Where did that sword come from?! Then I noticed the handle, it wasn't a normal cane, it's a sword cane. He's a one sneaky bastard!

I try to slash him again, but he alternates from blocking with the scabbard and sword. He's very good at blocking, I used my fire enchant to try and cut it.

"Torrent!!" [Irvine]

A surge of water rises in front of me. Water magic doesn't affect my fire enchant as it can still flame up even underwater.

I cut the top part of the torrent opening it up, like trimming a cloth with shears while leaving a trail of steam.

I got wet but managed to cut his sword as he was about to jump back.

"Lightni-" [Irvine]

"Oh no, you don't!" [Angelica]

As I thought, he was going to use a lightning spell. I immediately used Crescent in its quick mode.

"Earth Fortress!!" [Irvine]

Thick walls of earth covered him from all sides. It was like an igloo made of earth. Crescent hits it and left a huge gash on the side, leaving cracks.

If it was the powered-up slow version, it would've steamrolled that •Earth Fortress• of his and buried him inside of it.

"Arctic Zone!!" [Irvine]

From the inside, he used the spell •Arctic Zone• it is an ice spell used to conceal oneself during an escape. As the melting ice creates a dense fog while also dropping the temperature below zero. However, it could also be used offensively under certain circumstances.

I stood still so that he wouldn't be able to sense my presence and waited for the fog to dissipate.

"..." [Angelica]

I'm starting to shiver all over...

When the fog thinned. Irvine was standing a few meters from me.

And then he dashed with the scabbard in hand. I was going to hold my kris up but couldn't move. It was a little late when I noticed that my clothes were frozen.

He got me wet with •Torrent• then turned it solid with •Arctic Zone• in order to immobilize me. A real smart-ass, god I'm starting to hate magicians, except for Maria of course.

As he closed the distance. I turned up the heat, like literally. The kris lit in searing flames that it instantly melted all of the ice from me and nearby.

Unable to halt his advance he went forward. He tries to swing at me with his scabbard but misses.

"Air Bla-" [Irvine]

He was going to use magic so I raised my kris to eye level.

(Snap!)

I snapped my fingers on the left hand. I didn't know if he was baffled at what I did since he stopped. In the next second, a bright flash appeared from behind him.

"Hah you misse-" [Irvine]

He thought that I had missed. I used the kris's blade to reflect the flash to blind him and then used earth enchant.

"Hah!!" [Angelica]

(Bam!)

The instant I hit him. His face became all blue, as to where I hit him that is... you know where...

If not, let's just say that I hit a home run all the way to his ancestors lol.

As I thought, earth enchant turns my attack from slashing into blunt force.

"Irvine!" [Maria]

"Maria, don't!" [Angelica]

She made him rest his head on her lap, whilst he still held his hand over you know where.

"Angelica, you didn't have to go that far!" [Maria]

"Huh?" [Angelica]

Maria scolds me. I'm not sure exactly what she's mad about.

"But didn't he hurt you?!" [Angelica]

"No." [Maria]

"Then who did?!" [Angelica]

"It was me!" [Maria]

I cannot possibly comprehend what she had just said. Then that other magician?

"You are still a pervert as ever."

The cloaked magician spoke in a female voice while still pointing her staff at Jose.

"That is because I simply cannot resist that fine bottom of yours." [Jose]

He truly was an ass man. If he likes this woman's butt then she's probably pretty.

"I should've shot you with my most powerful spell."

"Come on now. I wouldn't want that." [Jose]

"Teacher?" [Maria]

Maria, interjects. So she knows this person too?

"Good to see you again Maria, you've gotten better at using magic I see."

The cloaked woman held her hood and began pulling it back. Finally the reveal! I will get to see another beautif...

It wasn't a beautiful face!! She was just an old lady! There is something wrong with Jose's eyes, yep there certainly is something wrong for sure!

She then explained to me the situation before we got here.

Maria was checking out the school when she saw Irvine. They conversed for a while till they got to the story of the orc attack on Cagban and the retaking of Dalio.

Irvine, couldn't believe that the clumsy Maria had partaken in those battles and he scolds her for bringing herself in danger.

He asked her to show him the spells that she had used and when she was about to show low powered version of •Barrage• Jose suddenly grabbed her butt out of nowhere, the end result is the spell shot all over the place, even slightly injuring Maria.

So that's why the quadrangle is like a battlefield...

When Maria's teacher saw the spell exhibition, she went to look and saw Jose. Somehow I can piece together what happened from there.

When Blake and I saw her. Irvine was angry at me for dragging her into those dangerous escapades and wanted to duel with me. He thought that I was a bad person and that I had only tricked the poor Maria.

At the sister's building, we hear more of the story from them. It seems that the lover that Jose was referring to was Maria's teacher.

"Um, excuse me, may I know your name?" [Angelica]

"Uhh, I forgot to introduce them. This is my teacher Thelma. Teacher, Irvine, these are my friends and party members Angelica and Blake." [Maria]

"Nice to meet you." [Angelica/Blake]

"Same. You to Irvine." [Thelma]

"..." [Irvine]

"Sorry, my pupil is a bit stubborn." [Thelma]

Upon hearing Maria's angry voice he immediately responded, was he her underling or something?

In the evening we were all celebrating by the condominiums because there wasn't any other venue.

We all sat together at the same table. Friends and family, even Kate and Regina were here.

With a few taps on the metallic cup Grandfather, stood up.

"I have an announcement to make." [King Alex]

Everybody silently awaits his message.

"Due to her contributions to the rebuilding of the city in a short span of time and to be able to plan, organize and create these extraordinary structures. I ask all to rise and give her a toast." [King Alex]

One by one they stand up, while I sat on the chair trying to cover my face "So embarrassing" I thought to myself.

"To Angelica, we thank you." [King Alex]

"Thank you." [Everyone]

"Thank you, sister!" [Mooly]

"Thank you onee-chan!!" [Sisters]

People clapped one after the other.

"I'm glad that I had come here! This is certainly a time for celebration!!"

At the same time, from further away, we heard someone and we looked at him. He has blond hair a clean-shaven face, and wears expensive-looking attire. He was accompanied by a few knights and at his side was Oscar.

"Walter..." [King Alex]

"Brot-her?" [Michelle]

"How nice to see you again my dear sister." [Walter]
