Impractical Magic Chapter 14

The adults asked us to cut down some trees to make firewood for the upcoming winter season.

"This is tiring..." [Angelica]

"Want to rest for a bit?" [Blake]

"Good thing you have good stamina." [Angelica]

"You just have to know what angle to hit, it makes it much easier you know." [Blake]

"That's easy for you to say~" [Angelica]

"Then you should depend on me more." [Blake]

"You've already saved me a dozen times. If you keep that up women will surely fall in love with you." [Angelica]

"All, but you..." [Blake]

"What was that?" [Angelica]

"..." [Blake]

Blake muttered something, but I didn't hear what it was...

"Alright. Let's try this." [Angelica]

"Try what?" [Blake]

"This!" [Angelica]

I enchanted the ax's edge then struck the nearby tree and it fell. It cut the trunk like it was nothing, but there was a problem... the tree was burning...

"Wah! Angelica what have you done?!" [Blake]

"Uh! Water! Water!" [Angelica]

Good thing we were cutting trees beside the river. If we weren't I might have burned the whole forest down tee-hee.

"BDP! There is a BDP nearby!"

A fellow villager that was also cutting down a tree shouted to warn us, there was a BDP in the area...

Blake and I readied our weapons and so does the others.

BDP is a term that I used to describe an ogre. Big, Dumb, and Powerful (BDP) ever since I used that term, the people in the village also started using it for no reason. Is it that popular of a word?

We hid behind the trees, moments later the ground begins to shake and in the distance. A figure three meters tall had flabby skin and has a face that looked like it was hit with a baseball bat. Lugging around a huge wooden club, correction... a huge damn tree!

They are the kind of pests that the village has to be wary of.

At most, it would be a good idea to take them out while still far away from the village, because if they ever rampage, then you know what will happen.

We crept closer for an ambush.
