That very same night, I woke up. I was inside of what seems to be make-do tents that were set up before we reclaimed the city. When my eyes adjusted to the dark, I can see Maria, Molly, Steven, and Michelle sleeping nearby. It was a small tent so it was a little cramped inside.

I felt something warm holding my right hand. When I glanced to my right Blake, was there holding it tightly. It took me a moment to realize that we were holding hands and I quickly pulled my hand away which almost woke him up.

I stood up and got out of the tent. Outside by the entrance was Kate, standing guard.

"Oh, Angelica you're awake." [Kate]

"Uhh, yeah..." [Angelica]

"Blake was really worried about you, you know? Even while you were sleeping you were grasping his hand tightly the whole time." [Kate]

"The whole time?!" [Angelica]

"Yes?" [Kate]

Did I instinctively hold his hand while I was unconscious?! So it was I, not him...

"Angelica?" [Kate]

Holding your homie's hand... I covered my face in embarrassment.

"What do you think of orcs?" [Kate]

"They are a threat to all races and must be exterminated at all costs." [Angelica]

"Yes, there is a saying that whenever an undead appears. The corpses nearby will rise from their graves, as you know wars or conflicts inflict massive amounts of casualties, and if those casualties were to rise then..." [Kate]

"I see..." [Angelica]

I cringed. They can even force countries at war to help each other out or face annihilation from their own dead.

"Did you know? That if your father wasn't the personal guard of the princess. He would be the knight captain instead of me." [Kate]

When Kate, saw me getting goosebumps she changes the subject.

"Really?!" [Angelica]

"Yep." [Kate]

I already knew that, but acted like I didn't, just so I wouldn't waste her concern.

"I never knew that he was that amazing." [Angelica]

"I wonder what life you'll have if the king accepted your parent's relationship." [Kate]

"I may just like be like mother, or worse." [Angelica]

"Wah?!!" [Kate]

"I was joking." [Angelica]

"Whew, that's a relief." [Kate]

Kate heaved a sigh. Does she really think that I would turn out like that? It hurts me to hear that she thinks of me that way. Deducted 10 love points for you then...

"I'll probably be the nicest or noblest daughter in the kingdom." [Angelica]

"You must still be joking." [Kate]

"Uh-uh." [Angelica]

No joke. If I was born as a princess knowing that my mother is next to the throne, although I'd rather be a prince, but what the heck. I'll do my very best to improve our kingdom as much as possible. As I'll have almost unlimited resources in addition to the knowledge from my past life at my disposal.

"I'd like to see that when I can." [Kate]

Kate is currently sweating buckets, her cheeks are flushed red all the way to her ears and she's avoiding eye contact.

Resisting the urge to tease her. I handed her a magic crystal with the wind enchant. It was the crystal from my greatsword.

"I've deemed you to be trustworthy enough, but please use it only if you're in danger or if a need arises." [Angelica]

"Is there a reason for you to keep this as a secret?" [Kate]

"If people knew that I can make these. They could use this as weapons for waging war and I may be put in danger or as a hostage. There is also the possibility that my parents or grandfather to be targeted." [Angelica]

"We also don't want that to happen... Well, how do you even use this?" [Kate]

During one of my experiments I noticed that even if I imbued Crescent and Bladestorm into the crystal, it doesn't seem to work if other people used it. So it is maybe an exclusive skill just for me?

"Eh?" [Kate]

"I can only enchant one ability per crystal right?" [Angelica]

"Oh right." [Kate]

She bumped her palms together as if she gets it.

That was a white lie though so I guess it was okay...

"Then my speed should increase right?" [Kate]

"Yes, try that draw you did. When you cut down that thick door at the castle." [Angelica]

She held the scabbard and did her draw stance. A moment later a gentle wind blew past.

"... ... ... Err why aren't you moving?" [Angelica]

"Eh? You didn't see it?" [Kate]

"See what?" [Angelica]

"I already did it." [Kate]

She was still in her draw stance, not moving holding her scabbard and sword handle while talking... is she lying to me?

"What is your fastest attack?" [Angelica]

"THIS IS my fastest..." [Kate]

"... Okay... Try cutting that log over there." [Angelica]

I tried testing her and pointed at a piece of wood that the orcs used for the barricades.

She went into her draw stance again. This time I used my whole concentration to observe her...

She held her sword and scabbard, as usual, she then pulls the sword out where I saw maybe about an inch of the blade before she hid it again in the scabbard with a (Ting!) and stood up in her normal stance.

"Done." [Kate]

I didn't even see her draw the whole sword at all!!

After finishing her sentence, the log got cut in half. Did she just do the Zantetsuken?! {1}

Dangerous... I can only imagine someone walking down a crowded street and getting cut down without anyone noticing...

I bet that she could pass up more as an assassin lol.

If she could do it that fast, then I don't want to think how Blake will do. As he can match my speed even with my wind enchant. I AM NOT going to give Blake the wind enchant, never-ever.

"That reminds me. What is your sword made of? It doesn't bend nor break even after hitting something hard." [Angelica]

"This thing here? It's made of mythril ." [Kate]

"Myth-ril ?" [Angelica]

"Don't tell me that you haven't heard of it?" [Kate]

"Sorry, I'm just a normal girl from a rural village and we have little to no books regarding stuff like those~" [Angelica]

Even in my old world. In the medieval times, books are also hard to come by because of the troubles and difficulty of printing in that era.

The only time I was only able to indulge in some books is when I was at the castle's library and I was only there for a short amount of time.

I know about mythril, but only in games. For its properties in this world, however, I have no fucking idea how much or valuable it is...

"Oh... anyway it is one of the few strongest metals around that can only be obtained by using Metal element magic." [Kate]

"Metal element magic?" [Angelica]

"It is the sub-element of Fire and Earth magic." [Kate]

I better ask Maria about it, since she knows more about magic-related stuff.

I wonder what kind of enchant would come out of it? Hmm... "Trace On!" {2} that would be so badass if I can enchant that way XD

All those weapon designs from games and anime. I could make them without the use of forging...

"Hehe... eheh..." [Angelica]

"Um... Angelica... you're drooling..." [Kate]

I wiped off my drool and hurriedly said to Kate "Good night" Damn... whom did I get that trait from anyway?!

I went inside the tent to sleep again. Laying down to where I'd slept at before and said to myself "A very crazy day..." before dozing off.

A few hours later...

"Heheh..."

"Er... hon-"

"Psst! You'll wake them..."

I haven't slept like this in a while. It might be due to exhaustion or because of what we had seen yesterday. Even I was shocked at what I saw, thinking about it makes me want to vomit...

Angelica had it harder... being a woman herself, she may have thought that it was such a cruel fate for those people...

Would a similar fate happen to her if Cagban fell? I was sure that we men are going to be killed off if support hasn't managed to come in time.

A pleasant smell entered my nose. It smelled sweet so I took a deep breath to enjoy its fragrance. My body felt warm and comfortable, there is also a soft sensation on my hand is this a pillow? I squeezed it a little bit, I wonder what kind of material is this thing made of?

(Smack!!)

"Owwww?!!" [Blake]

Something hit my head hard and I sprung up in surprise.

There. I saw Angelica, looking coldly at me while she covered her chest.

"Then that soft sensation..." [Blake]

I looked at my hand which was still opening and closing when I looked back at her again. Angelica raised her kris and air circled around it.

"A-Angelica, i-it was an accident!" [Blake]

I closed my eyes and prepared to be hit, but nothing came.

"Hahh..." [Angelica]

She let out a sigh and hid her kris.

"I forgive you. I know that you were not that kind of person to do that perverted stuff." [Angelica]

It's not like I don't want to have a feel of them though...

Angelica then glared at someone inside the tent. It was a woman covering her mouth with her hand doing a silent laugh...

"Mo-ther... fa-ther..." [Angelica]

"I have no part of this." [Steven]

Michelle timidly ran out of the tent who was immediately followed by Steven.

Maria and Mooly were still sound asleep on their bed, enjoying the breeze from Angelica's crystal fan.

"Hahh... really..." [Angelica]

I sigh again... and massaged my temple.

"She probably just wanted to cheer you up." [Blake]

"I don't know whether it is me whom she wants to cheer up, or you when she put your hand on my chest while I was asleep." [Angelica]

"Ah..." [Blake]

"I was kidding... Also, I'm sorry for worrying you too Blake." [Angelica]

"That's alright." [Blake]

Blake, smiles. I feel really blessed to have good friends and family.

Leaving that thought aside, I sat next to Mooly and stroked her hair. While thinking about what we should do tomorrow.
