After Lucy shot her arrow, and Mikey held down The Cave Dweller, the monster had no way to defend itself.
Lucy's arrow connected, and an onslaught started. Both Lucy and Mikey started unleashing attacks one by one in almost a perfect harmony, their attacks were synchronized on an astronomical level. They don't know it yet, but this is one of the effects of the Soulmate Stones.
The monster who was already heavily injured by Lucy's arrrow had no way to keep up with the two.
Soon enough, the monster got decimated so much that it didn't resemble what it used to be anymore.
Mikey and Lucy sat down. They rester for a moment, as monsters started spawning again since there was no presence of the Cave Dweller anymore.
Mikey and Lucy lit up the cave while cleaning op the area from all the monsters that have spawned.
They both explore the cave a little bit further, just to find its end. To sum it up, besides all the ores they found, and the Cave Dweller, there was nothing interesting about the cave.
"You think we can ever actually use some of these ores?" Lucy asks Mikey.
"I don't know, but surely, there are atleast a few players in this world who know how to use them," Mikey says with certainty.
Mikey and Lucy get out of the cave and head back home.
"Mikey, today is the weekly meeting, you plan on going?" Lucy asked Mikey on their way back.
The weekly meeting is, as the name already suggests, a meeting that takes place every week. Everyone in the nearby area gathers in one big building which they built and talk about whatever happened during the last week, people exchange information and trade with one another. Lucy already told Mikey about this.
The big continent that they're on right now is now fully occupied by humans, there are communities like this one all around the continent.
"Sure, I'll be there," Mikey answers.
(The same day, evening)
The building's name is "The Unity Hall." Each community has its own Unity Hall and each community has its representative aswell, who goes to the Unity Nexus. A building meant for meetings of each community's representatives.
Since there's no internet, players have come up with this idea. Now, to be clear, this system doesn't apply to everyone of course, but most people from this continent have adopted it.
Mikey knew about all of this because Lucy told him after he woke up from his two week slumber.
Sixteen out of the twenty-one people from this community have gathered in the Unity Hall today, Mikey and Lucy are the highest ranked among them. Most of the other people have their ranking in the thousands with two exceptions of people who have their rankings in the hundreds and one young woman who's rank is in the ten thousands.
Unauthorized duplication: this narrative has been taken without consent. Report sightings.
The representative of this Unity Hall is a man with the ranking 391, his name is Alayen. Before the meeting starts, he introduces himself to Mikey and pays his respects.
Alayen was one of the people who saw Mikey's fight with Arthur, the battle inticed him into essentially creating this community (just like many others), if we exclude Mikey and Lucy, he's the strongest one amongst the people here.
"Now then, I am saddened to say this guys, but we have a massive a problem. This problem is going to be the subject of today's meeting..." Alayen says and the others start whispering to eachother for a moment.
After a few seconds, the fifth strongest person in the room, a middle-aged man with black hair, his legs spread out on the table, and ranking 1002 asks Alayen: "So, what's the problem?"
"Well, as you already know, yesterday was the Unity Nexus meeting, at this meeting, the leader of the South community, Jack, made an announcement."
Jack, whom Alayen just mentioned is the exact same man who fought Mikey during the bounty event. The man with insane physical prowess, surpasing Mikey's physical strenght. Mikey was able to keep up thanks to pirates and technique only.
"Well, one person from Jack's party, a woman with a special tracking ability found out that there are Elves coming towards us. And as far as her information goes, these Elves are here to eliminate us." After Alayen says this, the entire meeting room goes into chaos, everyone starts talking with another.
"What is this non-sense?"
"Elves?"
"Why would some Elves attack us for no reason?"
"Lucy, did you notice anything with your attribute?" Mikey asks Lucy during the unvailing chaos inside the meeting room.
"No, I didn't notice a thing. Well, Jack's community is far to the south, they are at the coast. I can't see that far since I have no connections with the people there," Lucy answers worried.
"Where is our community situated?" Mikey asked because he didn't know.
"Northern side of the continent, this continent is about as big, as Australia so yeah, it's quite the distance," Lucy replies.
"CALM DOWN EVERYONE! I KNOW THIS MIGHT SEEM SHOCKING! BUT LET ME EXPLAIN!" Alayen shouts, everyone quiets down.
The fourth strongest person in the room, a man with a black mask over his face, two short swords on his back, black hair and blue eyes looks at Alayen: "Alayen, you better give us a reasonable explanation," he says calmly.
Number 466 is shining above the man's head.
"I will Roger, I swear," Alayen answers with confidence in his eyes.
Roger was the only person in the room who didn't seem shocked by Alayen's announcement, he was the only one who kept sitting down calmly and non-chalantly, while the others were talking to eachother and arguing, Roger's reaction sparked interest in Mikey.
Alayen takes a deep breath and announces: "Supposedly, this continent in particular, that we are on right now, is some kind of an Elven property."
"But that doesn't make sense, I mean, I don't know about you all but I haven't seen a single Elf here," The lowest ranked person says.
"Yeah me neither."
"I didn't see any too."
"Isn't this continent too big for someone to just own it?" The man with his legs on the table asks.
"I don't know, the laws in this world are most likely different, but to be honest, I haven't seen any Elves either up until now," Alayen answers. "The Elves might be reasonable however, we're going to try to NOT go into a war with them," He adds.
"Alright, so what's the plan then?" Roger asks.
"For now, gather as much information as we can about the Elves, finding people who are capable of making deals with the Elves, and also preparing for the potential upcoming war." Alayen gives a reasonable answer.
The room stays silent for a moment.
"When is their expected arrival time?" Mikey asks, Alayen clenches his teeth and closes his eyes. "Three days..." He says.
The entire room goes into chaos once again.
"Three days?"
"How are we supposed to prepare that fast?"
For a moment, it seems that the entire situation might get out of control. Until Alayen shouts again.
"LISTEN TO ME!" Everyone quiets down again. Alayen's large appearance and leadership prevail.
"Three days will be enough for us. We belong to the group of the strongest players, especially with Mikey and Lucy in this room. I don't know how strong the Elves are, but there's no way they are stronger than all of us on this continent combined, their numbers are lower than ours aswell. Additionally, if we gather enough information, we can just simply make a deal with the Elves, so there won't be no war in the first place."
"And if that fails... and war comes... we will WIN!" Alayen says with confidence overfilling his eyes.
Everyone's spirit inside the room lightens up, everyone's confidence goes up. Even Mikey and Roger were moved by Alayen's words.
"That's right guys, come on, we've made it this far, there's no way some Elves would stop us right?!"
"YEAH!"
"YEAH!"
Once the meeting ended, Mikey waited for Roger and Alayen to finish talking. After that, Alayen stayed in the Unity Hall to clean it up, while Roger went outside.
Mikey is waiting for him outside.
"I would like to ask you something if you don't mind," Mikey says to Roger.
"Sure, but in return, I want you to answer my questions aswell," Roger looks at Mikey.
