Solitude

"I know you're a weird man, Wizard. But still, why are you collecting my Wonder juice in a test tube?" Diana asked some time later, while I was indeed collecting some of her love juice for science.

I smiled at her, then took out 4 vials with my latest Miracles. "Drink these first. Easier to explain that way." I said in a kind voice, then suited myself back into my Grey Wizard outfit.

Diana measured my gifts with knowing eyes, possibly using her own magic to infer the Miracles' function. "You did the impossible again. A Miracle that can grant Magic powers?" she asked rhetorically, then began to drink my vials.

I just waited patiently, and caught her as the last vial, the one extremely painful, hit her bad. Even with my new magic powers and telekinesis, Diana was hard to hold still and prevent her from trashing my new warship.

A minute later, she calmed down and headbutted me in the mouth. "It hurt! It really hurt, you idiot Wizard" Diana wailed loudly, then hugged me tight.

"I know. Tested it first, like I always do. Hopefully, once I add your juice to the formula, the pain will be much weaker." I whispered in her ear gently.

"Fuck! I'm not saying you shouldn't create Miracles, husband. But why are they so painful?" Diana muttered and flexed her arm, testing her new improved body.

"...Something about genetic restructuring and magic enhancement. You can block bullets with your eye's cornea now, so it was worth it. I don't want you to get hurt, Diana." I explained in a kind tone, then looked down towards Earth.

Diana nodded and stood beside me to watch our blue globe from the window. "So, there are 57 new Daxamites on Earth now, plus Mon El. You were more merciful this time, Wizard."

It was mostly the quest objective, but sure. Let's call it mercy. "They have advance science, on Daxam. Sure, they also have slavery and other nasty things, thus their leaders and military had to go. Perhaps the civilians can be turned into new Heroes. Our yellow sun will give them superpowers, in time."

"And you have a powerful fleet now." Diana added wryly.

I smiled and checked my bonus quests.

Bonus quests:

-Do not let a single human die : failed

-Do not let a single building be destroyed: complete, +10 INT

-Do not let the Earth's atmosphere be polluted by lead: complete, +20 CHA

-Capture all Daxamite ships: complete, + 5 Awareness, + 5 Logic

-Recruit at least 20 Daxamites as your operatives: pending.

Too bad about the people on the Air Force One. Olivia condemned them to death, by holding the plane close to an invading fleet, while hoping she could survive due to her alien constitution. And she would have, unless I interfered.

"I thought you rushed to rescue the people on the plane. Some of them died, right?" I asked with a sigh.

"And I did. I managed to catch some 40 people before the plane crashed. But that red beam evaporated the pilots, and the President herself." Diana muttered with a helpless sigh.

"I told Olivia to land the plane and get to shelter. The DEO building has shields now. She wouldn't listen." I complained with a grim voice.

"Pef, Kal El has a strange type of kryptonite in his system. A silver one. The blue ring keeps it inactive, but...it's bad." Kara spoke on my com.

"Keep an eye on my ships, Diana. I need to see what they've done to Superman. Some kind of silver poison in his system." I spoke fast and spanked Diana lightly.

"Yeah. A war fleet. No big deal..." Wonder Woman grumbled as I teleported away.

Back on my Applebase, Peach and Kara were fusing over the unconscious body of Superman, now sporting a blue patch on his chin. I might have hit him a bit too hard, but he hit me first. And was not my wife, so he didn't get a free pass. Hmmm. I will need to smack J'onn too someday. He also hit me.

Now, let's see. How to eliminate silver kryptonite? I stared at Superman for a minute, then tried Heal. Nothing happened. He wasn't sick.

"Kara, your cousin needs a treatment from the Fortress of Solitude. Looks like a blue light table." I said after scrolling through my memories.

"Ah! I know what you're talking about. Let's take him there, right now!" Kara demanded in a loud voice.

I looked at my alien wife for a minute. "Home benched? No placing the baby in deadly danger? What if he awakens and punches you in the belly?" I asked in a mild voice.

Both Peach and Kara instinctively covered their stomach. The baby was a bit lower, but fine. Plus Superman was blue sunned for now, so he wouldn't be a real danger.

"Oh. I'll give you my access codes for the Fortress then. Kelex won't allow strangers inside." Kara said and typed some words on her tablet.

I just sighed. "You can come for a minute, but then leave. You should be safe with me around, if I am not busy." I muttered with a sad voice. I remembered those Kelex robots. They were far too smart to obey a simple password.

In a minute, we teleported inside the Fortress, and were promptly detected and engaged by the guardian robot. "Kara Zor El, Kal El and a stranger. You will be disintegrated, stranger!" the robot said in a robot voice.

"Stop that, Kelex! Grey Wizard is my husband. And the father of my child. We need to heal Kal El, the Daxamites did something to him. Made him attack my husband for no reason." Kara demanded in a confident voice.

"Exception recognized. Family is a precious thing. A child, even better!" Kelex said a bit excited, and began to scan the three of us.

"Pregnancy confirmed. One month old and a healthy fetus. Increased levels of etheric emanations. The child will be a Homo Magi hybrid, with corresponding genes from your husband. I recommend you increase your magic potions intake, such that the drain will not kill you, or the child, Kara Zor El." Kelex advised us while placing Superman on a healing bed glowing with blue light. Kara nodded and glanced at me with a slight blush. The magic potions were injected via my wizard's dick.

I turned off the blue ring on Superman's hand remotely, as the screw mechanism inside the ring could either turn and place the blue kryptonite in contact with the skin, store it midway for full yellow sun power, or extend it outwards as a disabling weapon against other kryptonians.

"Kelex. Show me what weapons and armor you have stored here. I want my wife protected during pregnancy. The child as well." I demanded in a calm voice.

The robot hesitated for a second, then nodded. "Caution is acceptable. Both the mother and child will be more vulnerable for a time."

Soon enough, I got to pick from a wealth of kryptonian equipment, that the two alien morons never used. They only liked to punch people, myself included. "Anything here that can block kryptonite weapons?" I asked while playing with my new advanced toys.

"I detect blue kryptonite rings on both of my masters. They should help with most types of kryptonite. Your work, Grey Wizard?" the robot asked in a more friendly tone.

"Yes, I tried to help both of them. But I meant something like a field dampener or shield. Plus, I need some robotic bodyguards at home, since I have to leave for work sometimes. You can make more robots like yourself, correct?" I asked a bit rhetorical.

Superman began to wake, so I stored the armors and weapons in my inventory.

"I will make something for this, Grey Wizard. On behalf of my masters, I thank you." Kelex spoke curtly, then flew beside Superman and collected a tube filled with liquid silver kryptonite.

Superman rubbed his chin, while his injury faded rapidly. "Someone beat me up?" he muttered a bit confused.

"You did attack me out of nowhere, Superman. I had to smack you a bit. You'll be fine, right Kelex?" I asked the flying robot.

"Kal El is recovering very fast. As for the conflict between you, I think it was caused by this silver poison. It has a type of kryptonite radiation I never encountered before. Very likely, some fragments arrived on Daxam after the explosion, and they used it on Kal El." the advanced robot said in a rather intelligent voice. It wasn't a wise creature, but it was surely smart and capable.

"Kelex, be so kind and lock any access to this fortress beside the four of us. And deploy an anti-teleport field as well. The technology in here is too dangerous, if stolen by criminals or evil aliens." I asked in a level voice.

Kelex nodded, then turned towards Superman. "Do you agree, Kal El?" the robot asked as confirmation.

"Sure, it sounds like a good idea. Who is the fourth person here?" Superman asked me next.

"The baby, of course. Kara is pregnant. Which is why she's home benched from fighting, until the baby is out." I explained patiently.

"Pregnant? With whom? Who is the father?" Superman asked in a rage.

I just sighed and urged Kara to leave. "Go now. Things will get violent."

"Kal El! We are married!" Kara yelled and teleported away.

Superman growled and rushed me with a punch, only for my automatic Dodge to trigger, in a lucky save. I triggered his ring again, then caught his next punch with ease. "Kelex, prepare the healing bed. I might need to subdue your master again."

"Roger, roger! Master Kal El looks to be unwell and highly aggressive. Please pacify him and return him back to treatment. Perhaps some poison remains in the system..." the robot spoke in a metallic voice.

"Disregard that, Kelex! I am not unwell. This bastard slept with my cousin. And put a baby inside her!" Superman growled as he couldn't force himself away from my grasp.

"What I do with my wife is my business, Superman. As for babies, they are a normal and desired fruit of a loving marriage. You would know that, if you tried." I pointed out curtly, while holding Superman down like a child.

Superman slumped a little, so I let go and returned his blue ring to neutral. "Kids..." he muttered in a dejected voice.

"Master, the Grey Wizard is correct. You should also procreate, else our species become extinct. Then me and this Fortress will be left without purpose." Kelex interjected in an altruistic yet autistic tone. Oh well, at least I didn't have to say it myself.

Superman touched his forehead, and noted the missing headband. "Damn it. They took your headband. Maybe I threw it away? Things are so confusing in my head. I thought I was fighting General Zod."

"I see. This silver poison acts like the Vertigo drug does for humans. Conjures your worst enemy, in your mind." I mused to myself.

Kelex got the hint too, being the smart robot it was. "I will begin resetting all access privileges, lest some dangerous criminals enter my fortress and do unthinkable damage. Kryptonians especially."

"Yeah, you do that, Kelex. I need to talk to Lois..." Superman muttered and checked his T-bracelet, then teleported away.

The robot stared blankly at me, while I considered my next move. "I also have some 200 spaceships in orbit. Might need some extra hands for crew. When the next alien invasion comes."

"...I see. Take that blue crystal, and those two white ones. Making more robots like myself, will be a bit difficult." Kelex pointed out with his robotic hands.

"I have excellent technical skills too." I added for no reason.

"I think we'll become great partners, Grey Wizard. All this advanced tech lays unused by my masters. They only punch people." Kelex muttered a bit unhappy.

I grinned inward .
