It took me an entire month to absorb and incorporate the Dominators tech with my other tech, and I was getting close reaching the next Miracle.
Force fields, disintegration guns, psionic emitters, star travel tech of all kinds...the Dominators were not feared in the universe for nothing.
Not only that, but advanced scanning tech for meta-human beings or mutagenic compounds could detect most of them on the planet.
Thus, I not only found some Green_Light drugs in Freeland, but also the first trials for the Velocity_serums created in Central City by team Flash. I may have 'liberated' a few samples while using my daily limit, before entering the new Dominators Dungeon.
*By collating and converging various separate power-enhancing drugs into a single one, the Gamer has created a unstable mutagenic compound able to induce meta-human powers. Mutagenic effect 50%, death chance 40%. Unsafe for use. Extremely painful. Health degradation -1 HP/sec . Mental degradation -1 MP/sec.
I stared at my Gamer screen with doubt. Sure, this would kill anyone who tested it if they were human, or deform them into a nightmare shape at least. And then, they would still die in pain and madness. There was a 10% chance everything could get just right, and then hope for the powers to bestow not only some regeneration but also psionic powers to counter the constant MP decrease. I was not yet a real braniac, but this looked like a fancy poison to me.
Peach shook me lightly. "Don't you dare, ugly wizard! I know you think you deserve whatever pain is in this vial, but I also know it would kill me."
I nodded. "I wouldn't die from it. But you're right, little Peach. This is only an elaborate poison. How is your work on the Dominators'_alternate_reality tech?" I asked instead and stored the vial for further research.
"Very advanced tech. I don't think your wish to create combat scenarios will happen very soon. Maybe if we were both smarter..." Peach whispered and embraced me tight.
"Tonight, I'll speak with Diana. We can give Nyssa magic powers as well. Then I'll be able to summon her, just like I can with Emilia now." I decided in a level voice.
Peach just nodded gently. "Magic is so weird. Or at least your own type of magic. I've read that Devil Grimoire from page to page and only angels or demons are described as summons. Maybe the ancient gods too, but not a mere human mage. And also, the book is not complete." she added a second later.
I just grimaced. Of course Lucifer wouldn't give me the entire book. "I know. It was a night of heavy drinking, not a real favor."
Peach glared at me for a second, then grabbed my ass. "Come. Let's relax for a while. Play doctor with me?" she whispered in a seductive voice. My dick sprang hard like steel.
My dick powers cured her headaches, and eventually bestowed another point of magic. Sadly, this worked only once per day, unless Diana added her own point with her Wonder Juice.
"I also have an idea for your crime problem." I said as we both lay on the couch, embraced and sweaty.
"Mind-control?" she asked in her usual insight.
"Perhaps in a few cases. But no. I want to establish some unwritten rules. No revealing hidden identities, or removing masks. No going after civilian personas, or their home and family. Judicial trials for masked criminals, with the masks on. And a special prison for masks. Maybe the Kryptonians' Phantom Zone." I mused in a thoughtful voice.
"Villains would abuse this a lot. Try to bypass it via intermediaries. And that Phantom Zone is not secure enough." Peach discovered after thinking hard for a minute.
"Enforcing the rules will become self-sustaining after a few years. Especially after I discipline the rule-breakers. As for the prison...I will figure something out." I said gently.
I already knew who could help me enforce this. The Harbringer. Not the woman called Lyla, but her boss, the Monitor. His clairvoyance was more than enough to detect rule-breakers.
A quick shower and I put on the newest Grey Wizard suit, now enhanced with a dozen magic barriers and baffles.
Then I teleported to the Watchtower , the new Justice League headquarters established by the Martian Hunter with my help and Batman's, in outer space.
"Grey Wizard, recognized." the Virtual Assistant spoke, letting everyone know who just arrived.
A hundred eyes turned towards me, most of them wary or scared. Intimidation did work on heroes as well, especially after I demolished another alien invasion alone.
Only Hawkman saluted me, waving a weak greeting before turning around. Yeah. Not a friendly workplace, I know.
I ignored everyone, and just had the main computer screen project my new unwritten rules. People just stared, without understanding.
The tale has been taken without authorization; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.
A second later, Batman and J'onn appeared via their teleport bracelets. "What is this, Grey Wizard?" Batman asked in a wary voice.
"This is a powerful tool, to save lives. Mostly heroes lives, and their families. " I said in a serious voice.
"These rules would apply to villains as well. " the Martian Hunter noted with a displeased voice.
I just shrugged, unconcerned. They were letting criminals escape from prison on a weekly basis anyways. While heroes still died. Often their families as well.
I pointed at Batman who glared at me with his usual silent stance. "There is a reason why I don't involve myself with fighting petty crime. You don't want anyone to die? This is the way."
"Enforcement?" he cut right to the point.
"Yes. I will handle enforcement. And rule breaking. There may be a few...extreme examples made, on the dark side of things. As for aliens, we will have to consult our own." I nodded towards the teleport platform, as our familiar aliens arrived, including Superman, Supergirl and Hawkwoman.
"You're have grown stronger, Grey Wizard. Perhaps the strongest of us all." Superman noted with a glance at his cousin. Must have internalized what defeating the Dominators so fast really meant.
"Perhaps. I am also immune to mind control, which is Batman's priority around heroes." I said with a nod towards the Dark Knight.
Batman's head swiveled like turret towards me. "More magic?" he asked in a doubtful voice.
"These are my newest creations. More technology than magic, but will work at detecting and blocking mind-control of any kind. Will not work agaisnt Tier 2 and Tier 1 entities, like gods and angels and others of that tier." I said instead, and waved my hand to produce several headbands, crafted with alien metals and imbued with my own magic.
The Martian Hunter took one and began to examine it with keen eyes. "N'th metal, Dark Metal, Promethium, Eternium, and dozens of other minerals I never seen before. How do these headbands work?" he asked curious.
"They work just fine. Will also act as shields against head trauma and several types of mental attacks beside mind-control. Mind-locking or paralyzing fear for example." I explained in a patient voice, while Supergirl took a headband and tried(really hard) to break it with her superstrength.
"Well, they are durable at least." Kara said gently then placed her headband on, with the Justice League symbol out on her forehead.
I smiled inward at her proud face. "Care to test it, J'onn? I'm sure Supergirl won't mind."
J'onn dropped his human shape and blasted Kara with a powerful mental attack, then frowned and tried other things, while Supergirl only raised a finger, then two, then three.
"The headband connects with my mind, and shows me what type of attack you used, and what strength. Punch me, Kal-El." she asked with a grin.
Superman smiled and punched Kara, only for the shock to be absorbed by the dampening field. "Harder. Use full strength Kal-El." Supergirl demanded in a confident voice.
Then Superman moved, faster than I could see and Kara rolled in the air like a pinball. "Lost 10% of shield strength. Not bad, Grey Wizard." Kara said with praise towards me.
*Affection +5 65/100.
"Well, getting my head blown to bits with a punch, was surely a great motivator for serious research. It will take ten punches now." I observed with a cynical voice, making Kara grow a bit red.
"It was an accident! And you didn't die anyways." Kara growled at me in a cute outrage.
"Let me know what the Justice League decides to do about visiting aliens. While I am empowered to treat them as I wish, should they act hostile, I am not alone on this Earth. I am open to suggestions, or will abide by majority rule if not. Your choice." I said and turned around to leave.
"Wait!" Batman asked in a strange voice.
"I am still working on the next Miracle." I answered without turning.
"I know you are, Grey Wizard. It's all you do, after all. The Dominators...they had mind-control, right?" Batman asked a bit wary.
"They used to raid Krypton for slaves. Pretty advanced tech as well." I spoke with a wry tone.
"That's true. I remember stories about them, when I was young." Kara added in support.
"And you reversed their tech to create these headbands?" Batman asked in a suspicious tone.
"A bit of that, yes. I have other means too." I said just as Wonder Woman arrived as well. Not even by summon.
"Wizard, always causing mayhem." Diana decided with a single glance at the computer screen.
"Diana, he has mind-control tech!" Batman accused me out right.
Wonder Woman just sighed. "Our Grey Wizard has fought Devils and demons, even an archangel. He beat Lucifer black-and-blue, after they drank too much one night. Mind-control is the least of his powers, Batman. Just be grateful he is on our side."
"Lucifer hit me first! I had to pay him back. And so did Gabriel, punched me right in the mouth! What's with everyone hitting the fragile wizard..." I grumbled and teleported back home.
*You have Intimidated the Justice League. +10 Intimidation.
Damn it. Shouldn't have said that out loud.
My mouth was evil, I swear.
