Inside a family's home, my cracked screen still works. American Soldiers aid civilians, tanks inside broken and toppled cities. Then a series of news anchors all on one forum, "The demons have done irreparable damage to our cities!" "The Americans have assumed the responsibility to nurse the Galaxy back to it's former glory." One smiles, "I'm happy to announce Lady Liberty is still in service. With her still up there, we can hope." "We have dark days ahead, but we must face it."
Soldiers whack my owners to the ground. They cower and scream as little joey runs. Flashes of their guns spasm and then there's a great bonfire. "Bodies of the demons are being burned today. As always, if you see one alive or dead, report it to the army immediately!" My new owners run, a black mass slithers and wraps around his foot. It yanks him back, blood spatters from the bathroom, he still hasn't come out.
They smile, "Despite the severity of our situation, we have cities built up. Safer sewers, safer with the help of the UGA!" "I heard the US assassinated the leaders of the past free world." With a smile, the others scoff, "You've heard the rumors and that's what they are. But the Americans held their own against the unthinkable, where the others simply failed." He continues, "But there's still the fact that no other country can keep America in check." "That's what our checks and balances are for, our courts, the people." "And when they're corrupted by greedy politicians and companies like OnyxCorp?!" "Get him out of here." He fights back security and flames come from his hands. "Shoot him!"

A man runs inside frantically and scratches at his body's stone scales. They come off easy with blood dripping. He tries to shoot them down the corridor, but a blackened blob on three legs zooms past my screen, leaving nothing of the man behind.
Black ooze spreads across the floor from a blob. What protrudes from that disgusting blob is a woman's face, screaming for help. She looks to me, "Our rights are being revoked. How can you still say we're free?" Colonel Carter smiles, "Commander Kaylin, the army is doing it's best to help you keep the rights of citizens, but the demon threat- You've seen the horror, even inside our cities. I hate to toss away civil liberties, but we must get a handle on these creatures or our civilization will end. It's best we educate people on what is clearly at stake." A man peeks inside, his eyes widen at the creature. Her face blackens, then the blackened blob bolts at the man.
Black pods line the house walls, one pops and a humanoid blackened creature plops out of it. As black tendrils wrench around my screen, a final message from Colonel Carter spurts out from my frayed cords. "I pledge my allegiance, to the flag, to the United Galaxies of America!"
